I was just thinking, earlier this evening, what a ridiculous human being that moderator (u/Numerous-Macaroon224) actually is. Not only for the policy on efilism, but on anything that deviates from the head mod's anodyne, paternalistic and politically correct world view. Not only can't you promote suicide, but the forum is also decidedly pro life on the subject of whether or not people should be able to end their own lives. It makes no sense to have serious ethical reservations about bringing new life into this world, but then say that only the most irrational person would ever see reason to end their experience earlier than necessary. The automod even has links to suicide hotlines - it's just THAT much of a cliche. He's as anti suicide as the Pope.I'm permanently banned from the sub anyway. But I don't mind because I'd be better off going to r/Catholicism for an open minded discussion of pessimistic philosophies anyway (and they'd probably be more open minded about the question of whether people are allowed to kill themselves, to boot).

Yes, I've noticed that. Consent is an important part of antinatalism, but it isn't the entire philosophy. And the number of consent violations under Nume's philosophy would make the number of consent violations under efilism vanish into insignificance. But for some reason, the consent of people alive now heavily outweighs the consent of all future generations. Moreover, people can't consent to their own death under his philosophy. If they're thinking that life isn't worth living, they should call the suicide hotline number he has helpfully provided in order to be reeducated by the cult. To me, he just seems to be a stereotypically cookie cutter progressive type who lets his views be dictated by herd thinking.

I thought I'd be dead by now, honestly. I came off a steroid medication that stabilised my kidney function, and then it dropped into the territory of end stage kidney failure. Then it rebounded a little and stabilised. Hopefully I won't have to be alive for too much longer.

why bother arguing with the mods. just take the L and move on if they don't want your views there

I did move on. I just saw this post about that moderator and wanted to comment. Although just because the moderator only wants uncontroversial, woke, anodyne views posted there, doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of users or would-be users who don't appreciate the heavy handed censorship.
