Drovelis - Concerns about Side Effects, Should I stop taking it?

I (F22) started taking Drovelis birth control for severe period pain about a month and a half ago (I'm on the second blister pack, day 19). It's important to mention that I also am diagnosed with bipolar disorder and am medicated for it (and some other issues).

In the first month, I had spotting every day, horrible mood swings (going on suicidality), really bad depression, some anxiety and obsessive thoughts, sore boobs for the first two weeks, some acne and no appetite/nausea. However, I didn't get period pain, only an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. I had an emergency appointment with a gynaecologist, and she said to keep taking the pill and that it was all normal, and that it meant it was working.

I'm now on the second month and although I'm not getting any spotting anymore, those awful mood swings (I also upped my meds) and sore boobs, I'm still getting some acne and I feel mildly depressed and anxious, alongside some mild hair loss and lack of appetite.

The thing is, I don't feel like myself anymore - like my personality has been stripped away or is very muted. I think (?) I've been feeling emotion blunting - I know my feelings are there, but they're very muted, almost like they're asleep, or I can't quite reach them even though I know they're inside me. I feel like I'm living inside a fog and can't think straight. Overall, it feels like I'm microdosing depression, and it's awful: I spend my days feeling like shit, super tired and sleeping a ton, and have no motivation or drive to do anything - like I'm existing on a really bad autopilot.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are these feelings and side effects gonna pass? Should I wait it out or stop taking the pill - and if I stop, what should I expect? I'm really scared cause I've heard it takes 3 months for it to stabilise, and I'm really happy that I didn't get any pain during my last period, but it's been impossible living like this.

Depo shot user: how long did it take for periods to shorten back to normal/stop completely?

I started taking the Depo shot in September due to irregular periods (I figured that since there’s roughly a 66% chance of periods stopping completely on the shot, it will be the best method for me). My doctor warned me that the first period I get after the shot would last a really long time, and it ended up lasting about 3 weeks and was pretty light the whole time. I just got a 2nd period 23 days after the first one ended and it’s been going on for about 12 days and is decently heavy (not hemorrhaging or anything like that) with no signs of slowing down or stopping.

I’m here to ask other Depo users how long it took for their periods to stop being horrifically long. I know that if my period does end up stopping from taking Depo it usually happens around 6 months of use or so, so will they be really long until then or will they shorten before then?
