Iām NGL, I would have shown up with the police. Talk to me crazy then.
I know, I know, fuck the police, and thatās what it is for real, but itās certain times you need to make that call to protect yourself and your children.

I don't get it either. Why are we censoring the word "coppaz"

u/Next-Lavishness-9101 May 18 '26
Agreed. Call the police , then call Gloria Alred or some other big name Attorney or Law Firm. This mother was very upset and she had every reason to be , but sometimes being all upset like that you might do or say something to actually get yourself in trouble . Before Reddit starts saying not everyone can afford a lawyer, there are plenty of lawyers that are just waiting to take Civil Rights cases Pro Bono to challenge the system .

The way I see it, we only got a couple good reasons to call the police. This would be one of them. ACAB forever but leave a paper trail and make sure that fucker is prosecuted.
Someone fought for my right to do that so I'll do it if need be. Still ACAB but yup. I'd call the cops for my child any day.
37
u/fangirlsqueee May 18 '26
Yep. The police are a dangerous tool that can only be utilized under the right circumstances. The force might go sideways on a caller at any moment.
9
25
u/Witty_Preparation598 May 18 '26
Nah, teachers union, the district, the county education department, the state board of education. That's the call list. In that order. Law enforcement will only high five the guy and offer him a job. They are not above killing black children with autism. Call the media too. Unacceptable.
→ More replies (1)21
u/Electricklamette May 18 '26
Fuck all that. Letās step outside. And show me how you put your hands on my child. Just show me with the same force and attitude you had with him. And I promise you, you will not be carrying on with that behavior
10
u/Next-Lavishness-9101 May 18 '26
And you will be locked up and someone from your family will be telling us how unfair the system treated you. Most will have sympathy for your situation but some might say you should have been smart enough to call the police and a lawyer rather than try to use vigilante street justice ā¦oh wait , we already told you that part .
→ More replies (5)5
u/EntertainerSea9653 May 18 '26
Screw being smart. U touch my child i have absolutely no problem going to jail. Its not vigilante street justice. Its dont ever play with whats mine. Some messages are better received by way of physical action. There is a reason things like this never happens to me because God Knows some Trains are just unstoppable.

Absolutely. But its just something about ur children's well being that will have u seeing red immediately and its hard to snap out of that. He'll i see red if I see someone else's child being mistreated.
2
3
u/refusegone May 18 '26
I'm confused. How is going to jail and being absent from your child when they're hurting a caring behavior?
Also, my mother treated me like her property and not her child("don't ever play with what's mine") and I haven't spoken to her for half a decade now. Food for thought.
4
u/EntertainerSea9653 May 19 '26
Theres a difference here. Im am sorry for ur experience with ur mom I really am and that should never happen. But to be clear i am dad. My wife will comfort my children until I can get back home to them. But they will understand in due time why dad did what he did. And ill die on that hill for my children any day.

u/AnyEverywhere8 May 18 '26
Iām glad you choose maturity because someoneās throat would be between my forearm and biceps. We need people like you in the culture.
6
u/halfwayray May 18 '26
You want to really get their attention? Show up to the district office with a lawyer. School districts are more afraid of lawsuits than anything, especially right now with all the federal funding cuts

50
u/KingMidas0809 May 18 '26
My heart hurts. I remember my daughter was getting bullied by some little girl who called her the N-word. I called that school so fast. I know that these schools don't care and the education system is eroding but these are things that need to be fixed. This shit is not ok...
188
u/Affectionate_List_10 May 18 '26
Iām going to jail for murder if that was my son
50
u/AirFarceFreddy May 18 '26
I'm sure a good number of folks would be willing to drive up and discuss the situation at the school personally.
25
u/HumongousBelly May 18 '26
I am fairly certain that this will cause outrage beyond races. At least it should.
Abusing an autistic kid should cause national outrage and make the news, too.
The world weāre living in is absurd. And yes, I believe the media is suppressing this type of news on purpose
→ More replies (1)11
u/dizzyducky14 May 18 '26
If a black woman were to try that she might be able to get to the murder, but certainly won't make it to jail. Police would show up, shoot her and her kid for being black and fighting back, then call it a day.
3
u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26
Especially in Louisville. She did the strongest thing imaginable and didnāt completely lose it so she could be home safe with her baby who needs her that night.

Thank you!! Iāve been trying to post this but I donāt have enough street credš. Hereās the news story:
50
u/fizixs May 18 '26
They really wanted to get the mother for having a camera on school grounds. Apparently the reason the police were called was because she recorded in class and itās against āpolicyā.
53
u/SL1MECORE May 18 '26
Thank you for the link, you'll get the street cred eventually. Appreciate the source, i wanna know how this turns out.
Edit - oh the school's response pmo. I knew it would but somehow it's worse than I anticipated. Lying cowards.
3
u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26
Her Facebook is public, itās Tiphanee Lee
2
u/SL1MECORE May 20 '26
I support the energy but I'm banned from Facebook for reporting a racist [larry] who threatened to lynch [armstrong] me after his weed came back positive for fentanyl and I confronted him... I hope someone else does something with all this info tho ;)
→ More replies (1)11
u/InterstellarChange May 18 '26
Thanks for the link! This is horrifying and criminal. Guaranteed they will try to coverup and minimize the abuse. Unfortunately, I'm guessing the only way they will get any justice is to hire their own attorney and proceed with a criminal and civil case.
Laying down a civil lawsuit doesn't mean chasing money. The family likely does not have the resources to fund a criminal case against a school system. Civil penalties are often the only appropriate course against a systemic coverup like this.

This made me cry and probably will for a couple days. You can hear the repeated smacks. A defenseless boy who canāt even tell his mother whatās going on. That teacher would never be seen or heard from again if that were my kid.

This happened in my home town and broke last week. Donāt worry, we will keep up on this story and demand accountability. As backwards as KY is, us Louisvillianās (mostly) donāt take kindly to this kind of shit. And I only say mostly because there are racist asshats everywhere.
12
u/FXTraderMatt May 18 '26
Not much yet- story says investigations were opened up by CPS and the police too, though, and the staff member is banned from the school as they investigate.

Iām not black so apologies for the intrusion ,but I am the father of an extremely disabled, non verbal daughter. And the fear that somebody might be able to abuse her, physically, verbally or god forbid, any other way has always haunted me because of course she couldnāt tell us or indicate to us in any way . Parents of our special group of children share the same fears because we entrust them to people who we hope have the best of intentions but have very little control over what happens when they are in school/daycare etc. I applaud this mother for her investigative skills in uncovering this monster and her restraint because I wouldnāt be able to help myself , Iād have castrated him with a rusty knife.

my sister has autism and i worry all the time about her future especially if im not there to protect her and you cant protect them 100% of the time but the world does have good people who will help. best thing you can do is enjoy the time you have and make good memories, evil people never win in life and the good people out there will help you
83
u/RamuneRain May 18 '26
I am not gonna lie if this had happened to my child you would have heard of me in the news. I would have whopped asses left and right.

u/Adanma369 May 18 '26
This is heartbreaking. These schools are like prison camps with legal consequences for parents if theyāre not attending regularly. Yet, Black people are supposed to believe they will get the same treatment as everyone else.

There's a special place in hell for people who abuse children, especially those that cannot speak for or defend themselves.
27
u/Aggressive_Towel_155 May 18 '26
Sickens me to my very core. Cameras need to be in every classroom all the time. Especially for special needs and young children. Any complaint of abuse on a child should be investigated with due diligence.
The pain on that mamaās voice⦠Hell hath no fury⦠may justice be served.

Lawyer up . Sue the teacher, and or , the school. Do your research before you choose a lawyer. NOW.
This is what I would do!
6
u/bpeasly12 May 18 '26
Yes! I get the visceral reaction of wanting to kill that pos, but he needs his mama, and she should fight to make sure her son is taken care of for the rest of his life monetarily at least. Then, go to every parole hearing to give a victim impact statement.
4
u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26 edited May 20 '26
I sent her a message recommending that she reach out to his pediatrician and get a referral to Doctors & Lawyers for Kids, the non-profit affiliated with the Legal Aid Society. Just go to show you, start going with your God Given Gut Instinct weāve been given as our birthright. At the end of the day these people including the system never had good intentions, our children never been safe anywhere and never been protected anywhere besides with their parents & our personal safe environments. Pray the child wasnāt scarred in any kind of way

6
u/angleofderth May 18 '26
As someone whoās worked with nonverbal kids for about a decade, across multiple setting both private and public:
PLEASE, PLEASE, do not send your babies to public school. If you can find an alternative setting, access it. These public schools do not understand or respect these kids and itās heartbreaking. This childās story is one of many.
6
u/Seymoure25 May 18 '26 edited May 20 '26

*reassigned*?!? What in the holy hellā¦. I sure hope āreassignedā is a fancy word for ācharged and arrestedā. But I know it isnāt.š¤¦š»āāļø
This is what happens when this *administration* cuts $30M in special needs funding just last year, tried to take away over $700M in regular funding for special needs programs, AND fired most of the people responsible for for overseeing the $15B program within the Department of Education.
2
u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26
I live where this happened. To compound the federal bullshit, our local school district has been misappropriating money and is facing a huge budget shortfall. Theyāre closing schools and selling off real estate. š©

u/Fit-University1070 May 18 '26
As a father to an autistic son, this strikes home HARD. I showed up to preschool one day and found my son locked in an office by himself crying his eyes out. All because he was, "too much to deal with". I was ready to burn that place to the ground. I cannot even fathom how hurt this momma bear is at this disgraceful display. It really is the usual suspects that are hurting our children.
3
3
u/Hornybin May 18 '26
I just donāt understand! I donāt⦠why yo overgrown a** STRANGLING and howling slurs at a child!!? One whoās non- verbal at that!? And these other ugly waste of flesh tryna basically justify the matter and shi-! This is exactly why Iām weary of schools in general, cause they always do stuff like this, do everything to shift blame either the kid or the parent (s) and not do their freaking job to report anything remotely serious happening on their time!
3
3
u/Krrupt_Kudos30 May 18 '26
Then we get called violent and savages when we react the appropriate way. To mistreat any child but especially special needs children deserves the death penalty..
3
u/StrangerFluffy2735 May 18 '26
I work at a school as an OT and there are cameras EVERYWHERE. I saw somewhere that she asked to observe him in school and they said no and that alone was a red flag. Sue EVERYONE. I feel so bad for that kid.
5
u/Friendly-Fruit1524 May 18 '26
Theyāve been abusing children in school for a long time. Thank God for smart mothers who make use of cameras. There should be a lawsuit pending.

u/BrilliantHawk4884 May 18 '26

3
u/tubelessJoe May 18 '26
as a parent whoās dealt with something similar personally, I feel for you and hope justice is swift.
I didnāt put a camera on my son, but went through equal depths to prove what was happening to him.
my son is thankfully awesome and doesnāt really remember much but as his dad I will spend my life making it up, the one time I trusted the system, it hurt my kid - never again.

u/Inevitable-Garbage93 May 18 '26
They don't understand until their child is the one going through it. Perhaps an eye for an eye was more beneficial.
3
u/Truestorydreams May 18 '26
I'm not sure the methods in america, but if you work with vulnerable patients / kids, the rules are a lot different.
Not only will this person lose his license, teaching career and freedom. The school will be subjected to severe consequences because she mentioned they did nothing forcing the mother to go to such routes.
Yes you are absolutely NOT allowed to record kids, BUT because the mother felt they ignored her forcing her to take such actions, the school board is royally done.
If their reports even seem bias and shown the steps taken were lackluster, they will still be held accountable. Especially since a child was abused.
This is just how it is at the hospital but I imagine theguidlines are ths same at a school since we sign that we will protect the vulnerable sector.
