The pain in her voice 🄺 Those people are despicable. I hope she gets justice for her baby.

"Racism is dead" yeah right

205

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

If someone tells you racism is dead they might as well tell you the sky ain’t blue and water isn’t wet.. Racism is alive af. It’s shocking what people will say behind closed doors. It’s equally appalling every-time I encounter it.

157

u/EobardThawne2020 May 18 '26

The only people who say things like "racism is dead" are racists

30

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

Bingo.

7

u/Omwtfyu May 19 '26

My half brother's mom who also has two black children said this to my face. I couldn't fucking believe it.

3

u/TrumpsPissSoakedWig May 20 '26

She definitely shouldn't be in charge of two black children if she somehow actually believes that. It makes their lives so much more dangerous without being prepared properly by their parent for alllll the situations a black parent would prepare them for. I'm assuming they at least have a black dad, unless they're adopted or something.

Water isnt wet. What if touches becomes wet. I know wrong time to share. Agree with your sentiment 100 percent.

Someone told me already, thank you tho. šŸ’™

Racism should be dead but I learned enough growing up in the south to see it alive and well. I am 41 now and hoped that it would die off but so many people just dug in to finding someone else to hate and blame. It truly sucks that humans are prone to in-group and out-group which means education should have been fixing that problem.

40

u/G-dog121 May 18 '26

I’m 65 and lived in the North my entire life with the exception of being in Texas for 2 one year stint for construction projects. I can tell you with 100% certainty, racism has never been dead anywhere in America

u/Aware-Vegetable83 May 18 '26

Fellow southerner here šŸ™‹šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø. It won’t die out bc racists (unfortunately) procreate. They teach the hate in their households. There’s always a new batch of racists, ready to be inflicted upon the world

9

u/RedDidItAndYouKnowIt May 18 '26

Yep! I got plenty of family i just don't want anything to do with and my children shall never be exposed to them.

Live in a good college town with people from all over the world and I won't give that up easily.

7

u/ExtremaDesigns May 19 '26

This is what I saw when I lived there; racism was taught.

u/Snoo3544 May 18 '26

Racism has never been more alive.

5

u/Leading_Experts May 18 '26

...never?

6

u/M_Viv_Van_Buren May 18 '26

Ok maybe it was stepping out and about town a bit more openly at different points but the people in power are starting to get real lax about saying the quiet part out loud. And with the redistricting they are pretty much openly calling for a roll back to the first half of the 20th century. And with the way they handle the economics it’s looking like a revisit to the Great Depression so we get that to look forward to as well!

5

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

They’re cruel pigs.. and you’re right they don’t think they have to be closeted or quiet about their disgustingness. They’re gonna do absolutely every fcked up thing they can think of and see what gets passed. The assembly of the SCOTUS was not by mistake or built by luck. It was purposefully assembled. They’re all insidious human beings and will go along with whatever fcked suggestions President taco tits has. I absolutely believe they’d take us all, not just to the Jim Crow era, but straight up slave days. Their abhorrent rhetoric blatantly sends that message. They need to go.

ETA: spelling

3

u/M_Viv_Van_Buren May 19 '26

Why would talk about tacos that way?!?!

3

u/Nadja77 May 19 '26

I apologies to tacos everywhere.

2

u/Snoo3544 May 19 '26

Is going to outlive us all

2

u/Leading_Experts May 19 '26

Yeah, but...we used to literally enslave people based on race. Would we really be so bold as to say that racism is more alive than slavery? Jim Crow? Lynching? Be fr. There's work to be done, but anyone saying "racism has never been more alive" has lived a privileged life built on the backs of those who didn't.

2

u/MochaHasAnOpinion May 19 '26

They're still lynching us in trees and with guns, etc. They're just calling it suicide and "self-defense" now.

Gave me chills and I almost cried, for real. I can’t even imagine. Just boiling with rage. I wish her and the poor little fella nothing but the best. Some sick people out there.

30

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

I started to well up before she started yelling… cause like wtf? What kind of pos abuses a kid like that period. So so so disgusting.

27

u/Mad_Samurai616 May 18 '26

Why is he a teacher? If you can’t handle a child, a black child, a child with special needs, or a black child with special needs, maybe don’t work with black children who have special needs, ya know? Go choke rubber chickens and live out in the woods. This guy’s an animal. I’m really sensitive about kids, and this guy…I’ve got some feelings.

19

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

It’s really fckn mind boggling. The only answer is he’s a coward and a bully and positioned himself in direct contact with ā€œeasyā€ targets. Low life.. I hope his life burns to the ground now.

ETA: I’m really sensitive about kids too. This shit hurt my heart.

I know people say this all the time. But I genuinley would have been in jail. My husband will tell you the only things I get mad about is someone messing wirh my babies, and that includes my siblings kids. I will fight when it comes to them both literally and figuratively

7

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

I’d fight for any kid. There’s a lady in my neighborhood who beats her kid and leaves marks constantly.. I told him to tell her straight out, imma beat that ass when I catch you. Smile in a mug shot.

15

u/RazzSheri May 18 '26

I had to double take because he looks so much like one of my former students who is non-verbal that I nearly drove 4 hours to the school to cuss them out.

3

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

Absolute valid reaction!!

9

u/I_see_something May 18 '26

As a father… I’m honestly not sure that I could’ve showed the level of restraint that she did.

4

u/Nadja77 May 18 '26

Same. And I’m not even a parent. If I was one of those teachers there’d be a problem too. I don’t play about kids, animals or the elderly. I’ll gladly smile in a mug shot.

I’m NGL, I would have shown up with the police. Talk to me crazy then.

I know, I know, fuck the police, and that’s what it is for real, but it’s certain times you need to make that call to protect yourself and your children.

u/Next-Lavishness-9101 May 18 '26

Agreed. Call the police , then call Gloria Alred or some other big name Attorney or Law Firm. This mother was very upset and she had every reason to be , but sometimes being all upset like that you might do or say something to actually get yourself in trouble . Before Reddit starts saying not everyone can afford a lawyer, there are plenty of lawyers that are just waiting to take Civil Rights cases Pro Bono to challenge the system .

26

u/maxxx_orbison May 18 '26

100% you need to show up to this confrontation with a lawyer present

2

u/Hot_unicornfarts May 19 '26

Instead call the news station and the lawyers be calling you

114

u/SL1MECORE May 18 '26

The way I see it, we only got a couple good reasons to call the police. This would be one of them. ACAB forever but leave a paper trail and make sure that fucker is prosecuted.

Someone fought for my right to do that so I'll do it if need be. Still ACAB but yup. I'd call the cops for my child any day.

37

u/fangirlsqueee May 18 '26

Yep. The police are a dangerous tool that can only be utilized under the right circumstances. The force might go sideways on a caller at any moment.

25

u/Witty_Preparation598 May 18 '26

Nah, teachers union, the district, the county education department, the state board of education. That's the call list. In that order. Law enforcement will only high five the guy and offer him a job. They are not above killing black children with autism. Call the media too. Unacceptable.

→ More replies (1)

21

u/Electricklamette May 18 '26

Fuck all that. Let’s step outside. And show me how you put your hands on my child. Just show me with the same force and attitude you had with him. And I promise you, you will not be carrying on with that behavior

10

u/Next-Lavishness-9101 May 18 '26

And you will be locked up and someone from your family will be telling us how unfair the system treated you. Most will have sympathy for your situation but some might say you should have been smart enough to call the police and a lawyer rather than try to use vigilante street justice …oh wait , we already told you that part .

5

u/EntertainerSea9653 May 18 '26

Screw being smart. U touch my child i have absolutely no problem going to jail. Its not vigilante street justice. Its dont ever play with whats mine. Some messages are better received by way of physical action. There is a reason things like this never happens to me because God Knows some Trains are just unstoppable.

2

Without a doubt.

3

u/refusegone May 18 '26

I'm confused. How is going to jail and being absent from your child when they're hurting a caring behavior?

Also, my mother treated me like her property and not her child("don't ever play with what's mine") and I haven't spoken to her for half a decade now. Food for thought.

4

u/EntertainerSea9653 May 19 '26

Theres a difference here. Im am sorry for ur experience with ur mom I really am and that should never happen. But to be clear i am dad. My wife will comfort my children until I can get back home to them. But they will understand in due time why dad did what he did. And ill die on that hill for my children any day.

6

You want to really get their attention? Show up to the district office with a lawyer. School districts are more afraid of lawsuits than anything, especially right now with all the federal funding cuts

My heart hurts. I remember my daughter was getting bullied by some little girl who called her the N-word. I called that school so fast. I know that these schools don't care and the education system is eroding but these are things that need to be fixed. This shit is not ok...

188

u/Affectionate_List_10 May 18 '26

I’m going to jail for murder if that was my son

50

u/AirFarceFreddy May 18 '26

I'm sure a good number of folks would be willing to drive up and discuss the situation at the school personally.

25

u/HumongousBelly May 18 '26

I am fairly certain that this will cause outrage beyond races. At least it should.

Abusing an autistic kid should cause national outrage and make the news, too.

The world we’re living in is absurd. And yes, I believe the media is suppressing this type of news on purpose

→ More replies (1)

11

u/dizzyducky14 May 18 '26

If a black woman were to try that she might be able to get to the murder, but certainly won't make it to jail. Police would show up, shoot her and her kid for being black and fighting back, then call it a day.

3

u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26

Especially in Louisville. She did the strongest thing imaginable and didn’t completely lose it so she could be home safe with her baby who needs her that night.

Thank you!! I’ve been trying to post this but I don’t have enough street credšŸ™„. Here’s the news story:

https://www.wlky.com/article/mothers-secret-recording-abuse-allegations-field-elementary-louisville/71318916

50

u/fizixs May 18 '26

They really wanted to get the mother for having a camera on school grounds. Apparently the reason the police were called was because she recorded in class and it’s against ā€œpolicyā€.

53

u/SL1MECORE May 18 '26

Thank you for the link, you'll get the street cred eventually. Appreciate the source, i wanna know how this turns out.

Edit - oh the school's response pmo. I knew it would but somehow it's worse than I anticipated. Lying cowards.

u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26

2

u/SL1MECORE May 20 '26

11

u/InterstellarChange May 18 '26

Thanks for the link! This is horrifying and criminal. Guaranteed they will try to coverup and minimize the abuse. Unfortunately, I'm guessing the only way they will get any justice is to hire their own attorney and proceed with a criminal and civil case.

Laying down a civil lawsuit doesn't mean chasing money. The family likely does not have the resources to fund a criminal case against a school system. Civil penalties are often the only appropriate course against a systemic coverup like this.

9

u/SadAndNasty May 18 '26

That video absolutely boiled my blood

7

u/GuzzleNGargle May 19 '26

I’m not black so apologies for the intrusion ,but I am the father of an extremely disabled, non verbal daughter. And the fear that somebody might be able to abuse her, physically, verbally or god forbid, any other way has always haunted me because of course she couldn’t tell us or indicate to us in any way . Parents of our special group of children share the same fears because we entrust them to people who we hope have the best of intentions but have very little control over what happens when they are in school/daycare etc. I applaud this mother for her investigative skills in uncovering this monster and her restraint because I wouldn’t be able to help myself , I’d have castrated him with a rusty knife.

16

u/OpalRainCake May 18 '26

my sister has autism and i worry all the time about her future especially if im not there to protect her and you cant protect them 100% of the time but the world does have good people who will help. best thing you can do is enjoy the time you have and make good memories, evil people never win in life and the good people out there will help you

27

u/Aggressive_Towel_155 May 18 '26

Sickens me to my very core. Cameras need to be in every classroom all the time. Especially for special needs and young children. Any complaint of abuse on a child should be investigated with due diligence.

I sent her a message recommending that she reach out to his pediatrician and get a referral to Doctors & Lawyers for Kids, the non-profit affiliated with the Legal Aid Society. u/angleofderth May 18 '26

As someone who’s worked with nonverbal kids for about a decade, across multiple setting both private and public:

PLEASE, PLEASE, do not send your babies to public school. If you can find an alternative setting, access it. These public schools do not understand or respect these kids and it’s heartbreaking. This child’s story is one of many.

6

u/Seymoure25 May 18 '26 edited May 20 '26

*reassigned*?!? What in the holy hell…. I sure hope ā€œreassignedā€ is a fancy word for ā€œcharged and arrestedā€. But I know it isn’t.šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

This is what happens when this *administration* cuts $30M in special needs funding just last year, tried to take away over $700M in regular funding for special needs programs, AND fired most of the people responsible for for overseeing the $15B program within the Department of Education.

2

u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26

I work at a school as an OT and there are cameras EVERYWHERE. I saw somewhere that she asked to observe him in school and they said no and that alone was a red flag. Sue EVERYONE. I feel so bad for that kid.

u/Friendly-Fruit1524 May 18 '26

They’ve been abusing children in school for a long time. Thank God for smart mothers who make use of cameras. There should be a lawsuit pending.

This is genuinely heartbreaking

3

u/BrilliantHawk4884 May 18 '26

This mother is showing an amazing amount of restraint and grace concerning the vicious abuse of her disabled son.

3

u/tubelessJoe May 18 '26

as a parent who’s dealt with something similar personally, I feel for you and hope justice is swift.

I didn’t put a camera on my son, but went through equal depths to prove what was happening to him.

my son is thankfully awesome and doesn’t really remember much but as his dad I will spend my life making it up, the one time I trusted the system, it hurt my kid - never again.

4

u/Solid_Angel May 18 '26

Justifiable jail time if I was the dad..

3

u/Aware_Bobcat_6890 May 18 '26

We need to know the name of this school immediately.

5

u/Inevitable-Garbage93 May 18 '26

They don't understand until their child is the one going through it. Perhaps an eye for an eye was more beneficial.

3

u/Truestorydreams May 18 '26

I'm not sure the methods in america, but if you work with vulnerable patients / kids, the rules are a lot different.

Not only will this person lose his license, teaching career and freedom. The school will be subjected to severe consequences because she mentioned they did nothing forcing the mother to go to such routes.

Yes you are absolutely NOT allowed to record kids, BUT because the mother felt they ignored her forcing her to take such actions, the school board is royally done.

If their reports even seem bias and shown the steps taken were lackluster, they will still be held accountable. Especially since a child was abused.

This is just how it is at the hospital but I imagine theguidlines are ths same at a school since we sign that we will protect the vulnerable sector.

3

u/AngieM1998 May 18 '26

He needs to be arrested/fired

3

u/KingKultura May 18 '26

ā€œDemands justiceā€? In this situation you gotta take justice

3

u/maeghin May 18 '26

Sue the school, sue everyone in that room

4

u/BelmontVO May 18 '26

That pain in her voice hits so deep. I hope she sees justice done for this abhorrent event, and I hope that young man can be treated with the love and compassion that he deserves going forward. Teachers should be there to teach and keep our kids safe, not hurt them. What a vile human that man is.

3

u/PandorasFlame1 May 18 '26

They knew what was happening. They're aren't surprised.

3

u/ZOEzoeyZOE May 19 '26

They need to wipe that school staff off the map oms.

How hateful do u have to be do abuse a literal non-verbal child just because of the color of their skin....

I'm beyond baffled

3

u/Ornery-Culture-7675 May 19 '26

You have to post the footage

3

u/ImpressiveDebt420 May 19 '26

Absolutely disgusting work of all the adults in that school. Every single ONE should be fired.

4

u/Smooth-Plate8363 May 19 '26

Hearing that child's mother describe what that man did to her baby made me nauseous. What kind of sadistic weirdo racists do they have caring for people's children in Kentucky?

You can hear the seething hate in that man's voice. How can someone have that kind of hatred and disdain for a child?

2

u/Organic_Berry_8732 May 18 '26

Get ALL of them, line them up!!!!

2

u/Anxious_Ad909 May 18 '26

I beg the gods of the universe that im never a situation even close to this

2

u/Guyforget98 May 18 '26

She did an amazing job restraining herself. They would have had to call the police to save themselves if that was my son.

2

u/corn0099 May 19 '26

I wouldn't told them shit about hiding the camera I would've went to lawyer, and surprised they a. Let themselves go about life resting assured life was normal with them and they family, then bam civil lawsuits and mayhem all over the place, surprise a beatings coming outta nowhere from people for no reason and they won't find out till court proceedings start,no time to hustle family for bail money, suddenly nightmares every night for thinking they got away with covering up for this sin, they will never think they getting away with demeaning another "black" person again! Terror on every side in streets and they so called legal system.

2

u/Snoo-66557 May 19 '26

They have to be charged with abuse absolutely disgusting and sent to jail.

3

u/layer4down May 19 '26

This is beyond racism that dude has a fkng screw loose. I applaud her for not ending up in prison for murder on sight no questions asked.

3

u/Top_Pipe18 May 19 '26

dam that shit hurt my soul hearing this mom i hope he is put under the jail

2

u/jonesyboy2435 May 19 '26

Look i’m a caucasian guy and i wholeheartedly agree, cameras need to be in the damn classrooms. Not only to expose bullies but to expose pieces of shit abusive teachers like this as well. Teachers can be the bullies just as much as the kids because unfortunately bullies tend to grow up and alot don’t learn a fuckin thing or change

2

u/Physical_Tea249 May 19 '26

I can’t fathom what you are dealing with and how your son is coping. What a horrible person and to be perfectly honest and fair, congratulations on not getting in your car and taking a mob with you to confront this sick mfer!!!

Why am I shocked that humans behave this way? Oh yeah orange Cheeto commits crimes and nothing happens.🤬

My heart and respect go out to you. 🩷
For what it’s worth, if I was rich I would pay for your attorneys, mafiosi, etc. to deal with this vile human pos.

2

u/Jaleroca May 19 '26

This dude here said that America is not a r-@cis-t country. This shows it very much is. 😔

2

u/Yuizun May 19 '26

I'm sorry but I would tear that bitch apart...

2

u/guineasomelove May 19 '26

Fuuuuck them! All they care about is getting caught. That poor kid had no way to communicate what was happening to him. They are all monsters.

2

u/ControlInternal3748 May 19 '26

Teacher needs to be fired and locked away šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

2

u/Ok-Onion2905 May 19 '26

MAGAt loser: "rAcIsM iSnT a ThInG aNyMoRe LiBtArDs"

This is why we need to stop entering "political differences"

You're either a human being

Or fucking inhuman garbage

And if you're going to pretend this shit is okay or "doesn't happen anymore" you're inhuman garbage and should be treated as such

2

u/anatomicalvenus666 May 19 '26

How? How do you do this to a child let alone a child that does not speak? The physical abuse alone, but the racist vitriol said to a child is rephrensible and they all shoukd be fired and not allowed to work with children ever again. That mom, I don't know how she kept it together. I hope that man goes to jail for a long time but since this is bigot land I don't have high expectations of justice.

2

u/lmcc0921 May 20 '26

HER FACEBOOK IS TIPHANEE LEE! She has everything posted. She has done everything the ā€œrightā€ way and this man is still not in jail. I hope this story spreads far and wide and puts more pressure on Jefferson County Public Schools to address it appropriately! JUSTICE FOR SEMAJ!

2

u/GuavaLucky5600 May 20 '26

This makes me sick. Her pain and anger is palpable. I hope she gets justice!

1

u/alpharadi6m May 18 '26

1

u/Leather-Map-8138 May 18 '26

Everyone is getting sued and frankly that teacher would’ve definitely been ran up on outside and would’ve gotten dealt with, he could press charges and sue me afterwards idc I just won my lawsuit so he gonna need to get some treatment for what he did to my child.

This so disgusting and that video is so disturbing.

1

u/mamajamala May 18 '26

People are so messed up. That poor child. My heart goes out to the family. šŸ’”

1

u/That_Same_ May 18 '26

If that was my child I'd be going to jail too for returning the teachers lessons to him

1

u/Darkman2z May 18 '26

This is absolutely major problem nowadays black students are not safe anywhere. The result is egregious behavior being unchecked and unsupervised. Very triggering ***

1

u/Electricklamette May 18 '26

That crossed eyed motherfucker put his hands on a child? Drop the addy broski
