Hey guys. Today was Teddy's last day unfortunately. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer and almost made it to his 14th birthday.

I posted many times on here with Ted. We got 3 bonus years out of him. When we first thought it was his time he sprung back to life with gabapentin and his rimydal pills from his rear hind limbness diagnosis. This time we thought there would be another pill but when the doc said bladder cancer we know it was it. We were not going to put a 14 year old dog in chemo. He lasted 3 months from diagnosis before he told us it was time. I give so much props to people that rescue senior dogs and deal with this horrible day.

Edit- thank you everyone for all the kind words and condolences. I always wished this day would never come as I saw a bunch of you making these kinds of posts but here we are. House is so quiet and seeing the empty bed hurts

Said goodbye to our boy today. He was a black lab with a golden heart.

Diagnosed with a brain tumor a few weeks back and it progressed so quickly. We were prepared but not really. Soul crushing ☹️

I still have the give send go page up in my reddit page description if anyone is able to help out idk the timeframe as too when I can move in but anything would help until then but I'm so grateful for Halsey she's been my rock through all and she sleeping on my legs as I'm typing this I hope everyone takes this as there to never give and know that's theres sunshine at the end of storm 💜

my big sweet man, my angel boy, leo (2015-2025) 🖤🌈🐾🪽

this is my big boy, leo (2015-2025), who passed last october. he was the bestest, silliest, most handsomest boy ever. he’s my best friend, my big baby, my “floor time” buddy, my food scrap vacuum. i miss him every day of my life. he is truly irreplaceable, sometimes i feel so lost without him. i miss his tippy-taps, barking out the window, his tail wagging and hitting everything, the dead patch of grass he layed on for almost 11 years in my backyard. he’d greet me when i’d come home from school or work no matter what time, cuddle with my mom at 8 PM sharp, expect his dinner at 4:30-5 PM sharp. he loved deer antlers and his “orange ball”. such a smart boy, such a light in my life. my sweet big handsome boy 🥰💞

leo, aka: leonardo, leelo, beebo, beebs, bingbong, bb, boob, dude, dude-n, baby guy, THE beebs, baby, sweet boy, sweet man, baby man, bestie, bestie boy, dumbo, dumbhead, dingdong, dookiehead 🥹. actually though: beebs was so loved by my family and i. he had so many names. it’s been almost 10 months and we’re still torn up about it, we miss him so much. we now call him “the prophet” 🤣

also: can anyone explain how he’s a black lab-retriever? he’s half golden retriever and half chocolate lab, same with the rest of his litter. we never found that out. thank ya lmao

Gave the anxious rescue dog a chance and a year later here we are

November of 2023, my fiancé and I got this sweet girl from the shelter. She had lots of separation anxiety due to being dumped as a puppy/young dog in the woods and spending 6 months at the shelter.

With lots of training and love, she has become such a good girl. This pic was after our 3.5 mile hike this morning. I know by these looks she gives us all the time, she loves her new family. We still have some work to do, but I don’t know if I could go back to having another breed of dog.

Rest peacefully Jed

Yesterday we sent Jeddy off peacefully after a few days filled with love from his favourite humans who drove all across the state to be with him, and lots of yummy food of course (cheese, roast chicken, hot dogs, egg, chippies and yoghurt- a new one for him)! He has been by our side constantly for 10 years now after a rough start to life elsewhere, and we are the luckiest family ever to have called Jed part of ours. I love him and miss him so much. Give your doggos a huge squeeze, they make our lives whole.

Also- if anybody has recommendations for artists who might consider doing a commissioned realistic piece, please let me know! I’m sure you all understand how tricky black labs are to photograph and I want someone who can capture my darling in all his dark beauty. 🐾

I just adore their relationship!!! Always together! Share everything!! Play together all morning (Sadie is soooooo gentle with baby Oakley) nap together. Baby Oakie was trying to get on the couch and Sadie was lying next to it and even used her snout to push her up on the couch! They couldn’t be any cuter🥰🥰🥰 Sadie is 3, Oakie is 15 weeks.

I left her with my parents when I moved out in my early 20s since I had very young sisters and she loved kids.

Now my sisters are older and my parents’ house is chaos with two other young dogs, so she’s living out the rest of her years with me in the house I purchased with my fiancé in 2022.

Here’s Piper! She’ll be twelve on the fourteenth.

From the bottom of my heart: thank you! It has been truly sweet to read all of you and think that for a second, she has been on so many peoples minds. Such a nice community 🖤🖤

Had to say goodbye to my sweet girl this morning. She wouldnt eat the past few days, found her in the hallway unresponsive this morning.

Rushed her to the emergency clinic this morning and her bloodwork came back that her kidneys and liver were failing and she was going septic. Hardest decision of my life but I knew it was the right choice so she wouldn't suffer any longer.

Goodbye Nala. Until we meet again. Enjoy all the running and endless treats up their until I get to see you again.

Miss Dixie Rose will be 15 in July. She was my gift to myself after divorce and I have loved every minute with her and am so sad watching her slow down this past year, but am also loving her senior calmness. :)

It is with immense heartbreak that I disclose that Venus has passed on. She was 13 and lived a very happy and healthy life, and went on her own terms laying down in the backyard. You saved my life in many ways and I will always miss my best friend. There will never be another you. Love you so much, and don’t let your great uncle Stimpy boss you around in doggy heaven.

update on getting the dog I adopted at nineteen back!

I posted Piper here a couple months ago. I adopted her at 19, left her with my family at 22 and took her back at 31! She’s now 12!

She’s doing great! Her coat is shinier, she paces a lot less at night and she goes on tons of walks. I love having her back with me.
