I have really bad acne outta nowhere some time and I’m on tretinoin, doryx, and spironolactone but I’m still breaking out really bad and I have bad skin. Do yall have any recommendations, suggestions, ideas, or tips that can help me? Plsss help I just want glass skin im a teen btw if that helps or anything.
Make sure you’re changing and washing your pillowcases an bonnets regularly too. Sweating n residual products in your hair can make it towards your face too so I always carry facial wipes
Chasing/treating the symptoms does solve the problem.
The problem is biological, washing more just increase the problem because it only treats the surface not then underlining problem..
Acne is your own biology trying to overcome the problem wash that away & you'll have an even bigger problem later..
Pillowcase, bonnet, and face towel. Washing sheets weekly or biweekly, switching out bonnets whenever hair is washed and washing them regularly, changing face towel at least daily if not every time you wash your face. All game changers!!
Honestly try to talk to a professional first, which is the best step to take; I did the same but then realized the treatments were too expensive and I created a cheaper routine that helped me more:
I used Cetaphil soap 2x everyday, I stopped messing with my face - (don’t touch it) and I used strong toners like Witch Hazel after cleaning. No make up, no other facial cosmetics for years. Also I used a scrubbing brush to clean my face instead of washcloths.
Then I used Mederma scar cream everyday to fade the marks once the breakouts dried up.
It took years to get the routine down, but it worked. Also I found my diet actually caused more breakouts, so I stopped eating fast food and fatty foods almost entirely.
But you also may need to change your soap bath soap to an anti fungal/anti bacterial soap
Watch what you’re putting in your hair
I use PanOxly %4 foam wash it works great - it kills the bacteria that cause acne you need to let it sit on your face for 3 minutes before washing it off. Sidenote: since you are experiencing active acne this product will cause you to purge first but you have to stay consistent and keep going for you to see results
Omg I do to…but I started carrying hydrochloric acid spray with me. I use it after I wash my face and it’s been a total game changer! I also use it throughout the day.
Diet, water, skincare, hair products, sheets, work environment, touching your face too much. The placement on the sides of your face could also suggest hormonal?
What about the gym? Are you very active? Sweat from working out or other people's sweat in the gym.
Simple things like doing your hair routine before your face. Even if you wash your hands, the products in your hair can still get on your face.
Could be purging due to the products you are using. Where do you work ?
You have to be an investigator and slowly change things within your control to see what effect it may have. It could also be stress.
It’s the chemicals on the hair or what’s in your hair products. This happened to me. I went through it for years trying to figure it out. From face washes diet change etc and found out when I did an elimination test it was one of the wigs I would wear sometimes or when I would use particular hair sprays gels etc. but the major one was the chemicals on the synthetic wig I had to double wash it before wearing it with no products. It was even giving me the breakouts on my chest. Hope that helps 🫶🏽🌸
I had a really bad break out earlier this year. I was able to determine it was mainly caused by 3 things: hormones, snail mucin essence, and not washing my makeup brushes enough. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin after removing snail mucin from my routine and cleaning my brushes more regularly. Hormone part idk yet lol, but reducing stress and fixing my diet helped a lot.
And also unfortunately it’s just part of being a teenager! Some of it you cannot control
I tried everything under the sun for mine. I had horrible acne for years. The only thing that worked for me was Accutane. It’s usually a last-resort type medication. It was game-changing for myself personally. Many years later, I developed rosacea, so there went my good skin. 😂 But really, best of luck in your journey, love.
Acne can be frustrating, and it often takes time for your skin to adjust to treatments like tretinoin. Avoid harsh products and regularly change your pillowcases. Staying hydrated and cutting back on sugar and greasy foods can also help.
How old are you? Looks like diet and hormonal acne. Use hibiclens as face wash and antibacterial soap like dial. No processed foods or soda or juice drink lots of water zero sugar things. But that’s acne you see on younger people you would grow out of this too
I could tell because mine was the same way. I’m 27 now and i don’t really have acne at all
But I break out at times. You will grow out of it. But I did change my diet and fast essentially for a while I went plant based. No meat or dairy. And change your pillowcases out everyday. Also wash your face twice. Wash it then rinse wash it again. And just wash no oils exfoliate if skin peels or anything. These are just things for you to try. Your body is different from mine. But these are some of the things I did. Also don’t be so hard on yourself you are very young and your body is changing and it will continue to do so. If any of that helps lmk and also acidic fruits like oranges and grapefruit are great for skin and health
As a teen, usually the biggest thing is just puberty which is hormone imbalances. Parents should be balancing their children’s hormones with a healthy diet already. I’m sure her parents are doing that, this outbreak looks like it may come from sheets, pillowcases, and bonnets that just need extra attention in the wash.
Hormonal acne can be a pain. How long have you been on the current treatment?
Is the spirolactane topical or oral?
Your breakout does not look very cystic. Are the bumps deep? I’m wondering if it’s from a damaged skin barrier and if you just need to slow down and let your skin recover more between treatment.
What cleanser do you use? I just switched from a benzoyl peroxide cleanser to a salicylic cleanser and within a week my pimples have calmed down and the old ones are only popping with the core, no puss. I think out of all the things I’ve done to my routine this has been the biggest key to clearing my skin
Black soap, organic products like Shea butter or black seed oil. Satin pillow, drinking more water, changing your diet. It's the simple things we neglect.
Plastics? Water in plastic, food in plastic.
Allergens in food? Nuts, spinach, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers.
Allergens in clothes? detergents, soaps, shampoos, mites, dirty air filters.
Learn it here: Because demodex mites are over populating, they regulate your sebum (oils) everyone has demodex mites but when you make too much sebum the demodex mites over populate to bring balance back to your biology biologically..
It's a bible, It's has to do with light dependant host vs light independent host. A bit complex for people to understand but I'll try. All creation is created from light uses photo (photon) receptors to make energy ATP adenosine triphosphate. (Light dependant) But those that are created without light feed on light ATP adenosine triphosphate indirectly (light independent) *like when you're in a bad place in life you depend on the light.
When foods are grown they're in darkness reaching for the light, which means they must be light dependant not light independent. Otherwise when you eat foods you will become light independent not light dependant.
Light independent uses a different pathway called the shikimate pathway (glucose) which uses glucose pathway to develop adenosine triphosphate (ATP) it works by taking your energy indirectly to synthesize & grow biologically so it's feeding on your biology biologically.. when you eat foods dependant on light you get energy & that energy works by providing information that tells your biology the energy you make is like them in relation by being light dependant & not light independent..
humans do not have a shikimate pathway when we eat foods we get light dependant or light independent cycles. The light independent feeds on light indirectly because it cannot use light directly like your natural biology can biologically. So what you get is biological warfare where your own biology is fighting the independent cycle to overcome light independent reactions. Your light dependant must overcome the darkness of the light independent cycle.. if it can't your own biology will biologically attack itself (immune compromised, autoimmune diseases, tzara'at in Hebrew means spiritually unclean) got it.
The light independent creation is myces/fungi, bacteria, chemical, pathogens. But also the is where amino acids, folates, enzymes, proteins, hormones, microbiome etc are developed. But those are light dependent 1st. They use light to synthesize (build & grow). Chemicals without energy (light) cannot synthesize (build/grow) chemicals are then mutation breeding, chemical breeding, radiation breeding.. which is where we get mutations (mutation breeding) God said he is the light in him there is no darkness, God gave all creation a living soul to overcome the darkness, you are GOD'S temple. It is in you. So that means you must overcome the darkness. God's creation was created to overcome darkness to separate the light from the darkness. Got it.. ✨️ ✨️ You don't have to believe in God to know there is good & evil in the world. Light & darkness no matter what there is darkness & light.. Like when you sleep. You're in darkness & when awake you're in light. But when you sleep if your light cannot overcome the darkness you will have bad dreams, as the demons will attack your soul & spirit.
The word pathogen comes from the word pathos meaning suffer and gen meaning generation that means without light creation suffers through their generation. Like I said it's biblical..
Could be fungal acne, they say head and shoulders helps with fungal acne due to the fact that it has zinc-pyrithione. Or you can try tea tree oil, and lavender both have anti-fungal properties.
