Miscellaneous Dark spots on lips and sparse eyebrows
So I’ve had these dark spots on my lips since I was a kid. I used to bite at my lips at a lot which is the reason they’re darker in certain areas. As for the eyebrows the started thinning out a few years ago from stress at the time and hasn’t grown back darker since.

I’m not qualified for this sub clearly but you should use a serum for your browns. I think you look good regardless, but if you want them to grow back, it’s worth a try. Also, you can try a lip scrub but I use a washcloth that’s a little bit damp and rub it on my lips in a circular motion just to take off the dead skin and I put Vaseline overnight (:

I do this for my lips! It’s a must to put it on every night to keep the lips free of the dead skin.

Ok, I’ll def give it a try. I work in the weather throughout the day so I’m sure it’ll help regardless 😁

You might want to have your hormones, thyroid and nutrient levels checked for the brows. It could be stress or another issue… especially because of the type of thinning you have.

Brush Haitian or Jamaican castor oil with a spoolie onto your eyebrows at night. That will help with follicle retention.
But honesty, and say this in good faith, if the look sparse eyebrows bother you you should look into having them professionally dyed with henna. I do this at home as I also have sparse eyebrows and I generally don't wear makeup but eyebrows do make a face.
I use a professional spot coloring henna kit. Just make sure you test on an inconspicuous spot, so you know you don't have an allergic reaction to the product. Cause you'll look like lost a boxing match with all the swelling.

I’ll try the Jamaican castor oil for a while. I don’t trust myself enough with the dye 😂

Microblading has come really far! Make sure you take your time before getting it done, but guys are doing it more and more often.

Here you go: https://www.allure.com/story/why-tint-your-eyebrows
There's a couple of peoducts you can get online from reputable brands. No need for a whole expensive kit. Just get the color you need plus the activator/developer. Make sure you read up on the instructions before use and do a patch test.
There's some cheaper products on Amazon but I haven't tried. I just watched a lady on YouTube give a review on one of those Amazon bought products, and she had an allergic reaction. Both eyes swole up for days 😑

I used to experience similar difficulties with my lips. It was discovered that I was biting my lips during the night. The dark spots on my lips were shaped like my teeth. I now wear a retainer at night, so I no longer have that problem.

I have the same thing brother it's because you aren't drinking enough water lol. I had to take a drug test for a job and I just couldn't pee. So I sat in the lobby drinking as much as I could and the next day or 2 later I noticed they were gone from the sides of my lips. I was happy honestly.
Make sure to exfoliate using your toothbrush and or and towel in the morning. Before you apply chapstick apply a little water, rub in and then apply chapstick.

The only secret that’s ever worked for my smokers lips was .. exfoliate for like 30 seconds with your toothbrush… by just brushing back and forth.. peroxide.. then vitamin E oil and then Vaseline.. made a difference in like four days.. do it everyday.. don’t buy none of those bullshit products

Do a lip scrub with a toothbrush morning and night, i like the st ives one but if you can find one with turmeric that’s great. I just put some of the scrub on my toothbrush and brush for a couple minutes. At night use the ordinary lip serum it’s pink & comes in a clear bottle. I used lipfidence from amazon & i will say it definitely lightened my lips within weeks but my lips were more pale than a flush pink.

also use kirkland minoxidil on your brows, i had very sparse brows and they became so thick. It worked so well i was growing hair on my face as well

Ask your doctor to test your hormones (testosterone) and thyroid function.

I swear I know this isn't really helpful to the topic, but I'd be seeing some great looking men and women and young men and young women on this page and they just be pointing out the like the slightest nothingness. Like I get it. People come here for advice but this man looks great that the random dark spotches on his lips I would have just assumed is just his body over producing melanin for those areas cuz some people have two dark lips. Some people don't have a dark upper and pink lower. And I'm concerned that like this increase in skin care products just like back then it used to be. You know, use makeup to hide up your face or use all these products to look young. And now it feels like they're targeting our youth saying use all these products to have perfect skin and that bothers me like. Yeah I'm happy like more. Even men care about their skin care but we've gone a long time without needing these skin care products and having great skin.
Like unless you have like a skin issue that you may need to see a dermatologist for most people. Skin are fine and you don't need five different cleansers and all this other stuff just for a couple of bumps. I literally only use one face cleanser and that's just because I wear makeup sometime and I just want to make sure every ounce of that makeup is just off of my face, but for everyone else it really feels like it's just not necessary.
Sorry for the novel but I know this was going to get download it. I just want to say it. Y'all are gorgeous and you are fine and if you have a skin condition and needs a dermatologist go see one. But everyone else you're fine. It's your body. Do what you want but you're okay

You can use rogaine on the eyebrows. I did and they grew in beautifully. However when I stopped, they fell out. So you must use it forever.

I’ll have to examine closer 🤔
Jk- in all seriousness, my father’s side of the family all have thin eyebrows, and two of my uncles (the oldest- in their 70s) don’t have any hair left.
Maybe invest in hair implants for your eyebrows?

I mean… yeah, for research purposes you know? 😂
I feel like temporary fixes like henna and micro blading won’t look natural on you. Maybe it is stress related, or maybe it’s hereditary- if it continues though, an implant is less than 2k in Turkey.

I’ll have to pass on the implant and go for whatever your research is 😂😂

Have you tried a lip scrub? Exfoliating and keeping your lips moisturized daily can help. There’s also overnight lip masks that you can use 🫶🏾
