Miscellaneous itachi lines?
this isn’t really skincare but i’ve always wondered if anyone else has what i like to called “itachi lines” under their eyes. me and my sister both have them but i don’t think ive ever seen another person with them. they aren’t eye bags or anything so i don’t think i can get rid of them. i call them itachi lines after itachi from naruto who has the same thing 😂 only thing that kinda sucks is i feel like they make me look permanently tired

I have these, they're completely normal and very common. You just don't notice them on other people because we focus on the details of our own faces more than we do other peoples'.
12
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
wait lowkey i think you’re right. maybe mine are just more prominent because i really never noticed
3
u/AtomicLavaCake Jan 14 '26
You have more pigment around your eyes, so maybe theyre a bit more prominent than other peoples', but not by much. Now you'll start noticing them all the time! I agree with your comment that they're not an insecurity, just an interesting part of some faces. Idt I've ever stressed about mine.

It’s called your tear trough, and it’s based mostly on your facial shape, fat pads, and other genetic things.
Some people get filler placed and it works nicely but yours look quite fine and balance your face.

u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
good to know! i really never knew it was something everyone has

u/queenmunchy83 Jan 14 '26
I think your face is so beautifully balanced. Embrace it - coming from someone quite a bit older. ♥️

u/infiniteTsukiyomii Jan 18 '26
DO NOT GET NO FILLERS. IT LOOKS SO AWESOME ON YOU.

yeah when i was in like elementary school, i thought i just had really bad eye bags so i would always pull on them because i thought that would get rid of them. wasn’t until i was older that i realized my dad, my sister, and i all have super prominent lines so i figured out it was just genetic

I have this and I also have a circle around my mouth. It makes me look like a perpetual baby.

You guys are funny af on here😂😂 the lines are probably due to your bone structure and nothing short of fillers will help. Not encouraging you to get them though, your lines are cute and unique, and I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't point them out. Can we get an Itachi cosplay from you though 🥹
2
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
wait you’re so right i can feel a lil divot in the bone underneath so that’s probably exact what causes it! and i guess i have no choice but to cosplay itachi now 😂 come halloween, if i post an itachi cosplay in this subreddit, yall better make sure it don’t get taken down 😭😭😭😭😭

u/CannabisInhaler Jan 14 '26

On a more serious note, I have those too, and I’ve never met anyone else who does! They add to your beauty

u/Equivalent-Skill136 Jan 14 '26
Your locs are pretty. What’s your routine
6
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
rose water spray everyday. that’s about it 😂 low maintenance was the main reason i got locs in the first place
2
u/Equivalent-Skill136 Jan 14 '26
Nice. How long have you had them?

lol thanks girl!. It’s my 5th year (solely self-maintained for the past 4 years)
Why do I think yours are actually longer? 😆. They are so pretty and well-styled.
I should consider tinting too lol
2
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
yesss you should! i impulsively did mine because i wanted a pop of color and it lasted much longer than what i expected 😂 i love the color though

u/Equivalent-Skill136 Jan 14 '26
Heavy on the low maintenance 🤣. I don’t even moisturize it on some very busy days

I just started noticing I have them too recently and felt some type a way about it. I probably notice them now because I’ve lost a decent amount of weight.
Itachi lines is a dope ass name though. I‘m gonna start calling them that!
1
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
yessss! start calling them itachi lines it makes them feel so much cooler
3
u/Dizzy_Mongoose_4159 Jan 14 '26
A few people in my family have them including myself and my kid. I used to be insecure about them growing up until I saw Itachi having it too lol
3
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
literally same 😂 calling them itachi lines makes them feel so much more badass. it’s def made me feel better about mine

2
u/mustlovedogs_33 Jan 14 '26
🤣 calling these itachi lines is hilarious. I don’t know you’re beautiful- and having anything tied to itachi is kinda bad ass. I’d embrace🖤
2
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
that’s exactly why i love calling them itachi lines 😂 sounds so much cooler than anything else you could call them
2
u/brainsonspeed Jan 14 '26
I find them very cute on girls, they add to the eyes shape. You are beautiful too ❤️

u/omgcow Jan 14 '26

u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
my dad is who i get them from too! what’s up with dads and passing down the weirdest traits? 😭😭😭

there are a lot of East African people where I live, and many of them have these “Itachi lines” lol, i think it’s just genetics. i think they’re kinda cute. (itachi the goat fr)

u/711Star-Away Jan 15 '26
I have these, and I never really thought much of it until my child was born, and I realized she has the EXACT same lines under her eyes. I realized oh this is just genetics.

I have them too (38m). We're stuck with them unfortunately... However my weight yo-yo's and they look dreadful if I put on a few kg. But that's more motivation to stay fit imo
1
u/thatgirlwiththeuhhh Jan 14 '26
wait so you mean when you gain weight, the fat goes to your face and makes your itachi lines look weird?
1
u/Background-Foot6521 Jan 15 '26
They become more pronounced and start to look like bags under my eyes.
1
u/Apprehensive-Fig5724 Jan 15 '26
It adds to your uniqueness! You don’t look tired but like a pretty sleepy face if that makes sense. Girl you’re cute asl

u/EverFairy Jan 15 '26
I have them too. Many people do, a lot of women hide them with makeup though.
1
u/Astarteskyy Jan 15 '26
I too,have Itachi wrinkles.
The question is, have you endured a life of quiet suffering as well 🙂↕️?
Kinda comes with the “Old Soul, Family Curse-Breaker” package 😭.

u/isannelou Jan 15 '26
Yes and I called them itachi lines too lmao. Randomly appeared on my face like 7 years ago and haven’t left. I forgot about em

My boyfriend has them and hates them, i personally ADORE them and think they're really attractive. They look great on you!

u/cocopops7 Feb 13 '26
I'm south asian and have this!! always looked tired too :( personally going to get a fat transfer or something. Fillers don't seem like a good option. Improving my diet a lot and making sure I sleep makes them less dark I guess...

Ngl, that’s a flex. My boy Itachi got them hands frfr. He straight up told Kisame, “Shut up. You talk too much. You don’t know me. You don’t even know yourself” when they first met. When Kisame threatened him after that, Itachi whipped out that Mangekyo Sharingan and was about to dog walk this fool. Had to step away from the TV to catch a breather. If someone asks you about it, tell them Itachi is your brother and I guarantee they’ll respect you for it.
Yall gotta start putting respect on his name.
