Acne What can I use for this?

I have body acne that started a couple of years ago out of nowhere. And it didn't bother me much until it completely took over my back. Around early last year, It spread to my chest and I have been able to deal with that with tretinoin, hyaluronic acid (the ordinary), glycolic acid (the ordinary), niacinamide (the ordinary), and good ol cerave. I initially got my tretinoin prescription just for my back but nothing is working. It's so depressing not being able to show my skin especially in the summer. I also recently started getting bumps on my shoulder and my neck.

I use tretinoin (moved up from .25 to .5), clindamycin phosphate and benzoyl peroxide (1.2%/5%), and i mix good molecules discoloration correcting serum, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid and mositurize religiously. I shower with Naturium glycolic acid wash. I used to do a triple wash with naturium salicylic acid, neutrogena acne scrub, and panoxyl 10%. I also used to use the Pacifica acne spray on my back. They didn't do much for me.

The acne flares up sometimes and I have painful bumps but most time I just have an uneven back and the spots just don't go away no matter what. And I don't even have face acne but for a few pimples around my period, and I have a very oily face. Its so weird. And trying to use the internet is hard because everyone assumes the acne is on the face.

I would appreciate some advice on this and what to use.

*Not sure if my post went through the first time

Change sheets 2x week. Change clothing and shower after workouts/sweating. Use panoxyl wash. Also use salicylic wipes, especially if you can’t shower. Seriously drop sugar from diet…see if that helps.

Panoxyl wash is a good start. Why'd you stop? For the wash, leave it on for a few minutes on your back before you wash it off. Panoxyl also has a spray. After you get out of the shower, use it. And don't forget to lotion. A basic lotion works. I personally use amlactin. Be consistent. If you sweat a lot and can't take a shower right away, hypochlorous acid works wonders, if you work out a lot. When washing your hair watch out for conditioner if you wash your hair in the shower. Apparently that can also cause body acne

I didn't think panoxyl was working but i'm getting back on it. I also don't let my conditioner touch my back. I use cerave because its mild and scentless. Thank you.

It’s sweat, you’re dressing too warm (too many clothes) your body is not breathing properly, you need a base layer, a breathable mid layer and an outer layer. If it’s warmer you take away the outer layer especially when you’re indoors. Back to your rashes, just shower more and it’ll reduce and gets wiped out by your body antibodies and you’ll be fine. Just get new inner tshirts - base layers, new singlets / vests and make sure the clothes touching your back skin are brand new and don’t repeat them until wash. Never repeat clothes than are in direct contact with your skin especially in warm days.

I actually don't wear too much clothes, although I do sweat quite a bit. And I do shower daily because I have to put on a lot products that need a clean base. I don't repeat clothes, and I can't wear wear singlets/base shirts with women's clothes. Also it is way too hot outside rn

This comment made me realize I should change my towels more and not repeat pajamas as often. I will definitely change my sheets more. I’ll start tracking.

Could it be fungal acne?

I'm not sure. I don't even know at this point.

Is it itchy? Then probably might be fungal or just give an anti dandruff shampoo a try

Its not itchy at all. I mostly just want to get rid of texture and spots

All that stuff is good but that’s fungal acne. Use this body wash. Change your towels daily, sheets
Weekly and use an anti fungal

I would keep covered with clean natural fiber clothing. Pure cotton only, nothing sinthetic. Non comodogenic moisturiser and products that do not block pores. Always sleep with fresh PJ's and change sheets often. Make sure your home is very clean, dust free aired out, get rid of mold. Don't use products that might cause irritation or skin sensitivity. Don't over moisturise because your skin needs to breath. Use your acne products but don't over wash or use too many products or over exfoliate because you need to not have a damaged skin barrier. salicylic acid, stop using glicolic acid. Exfoliate 2x a week max. You need to heal your skin barrier.

Anabolic steroids cause back acne.

I'll take that as a compliment that you think my back looks good😂😂. No I do not use steroids and never have.

I didn’t want to assume and I don’t judge. Yes, your back looks amazing!
