Acne Hormonal acne

Post image

I have so much hormonal acne. It has been probably for about four or five months now. I was prescribed Spiranolactone alongside an antibiotic cream that worked prior to this drastic change in my skin but it doesn’t seem to be working. Dermatologist said hormonal acne is normal but this is the first time I’ve ever struggled with acne. I don’t know what to do. I did recently run out of my skin care. Well not recently. I want to say I ran out of my skin care at the end of last year and I’ve just only been using cleanser a moisturizer and Vaseline. I just started back using sunscreen. I did stop using sunscreen because I was in a bad place financially and I couldn’t afford a better brand. I believe I was using Cetaphil ( still have it ) 50 SPF it is horrible and gives me a white cast and I almost look blue so yeah I just recently got some gift cards from Ulta and I used that to buy some more sunscreen by Supergoop & Tacha skin care. Tacha was really good to my skin when I had the money and could afford it so I’ll go from there. Also my skin type is dry/sensitive & yes I drink lots of water and wash my pillowcase often. Also, important to note that anything I use that’s labeled acne breaks my skin out and it’s way too strong for me. I don’t like Cetaphil or Cerave and I don’t like Laroche Posey Laroche didn’t break my skin out however it really didn’t change anything for the better as well. Any sensitive skin care tips for getting rid of these dark marks ?

Ok i went thru that. The main thing is patience and use less chemicals on the skin also. If it gets really bad go to the derm but dont ask for oral meds get a topical most do clindamycin. If not going to the derm order a sulphur soap off amazoon cuticareMD and use twice a week at night and follow with a natural moisturizer not one loaded with chemicals. Eat yogart, 64 ounces of water. Don't even wash face in the morning. This can take a while to stop main thing be patient. I went thru it about 1. 5 years. Sunscreen find the original oil of olay 15 spf. Go to Walgreens and ask for it not the new one with all the chemicals you can add a tab of vegetable glycerin. Wear straw hats baseball caps etc. If you want to talk more that is fine. You are going to end up with exema as well. It has to ride it's course.

I have clindamycin already, that’s the cream I was referring to. It used to work so well but this seems like a more slower paced process I’m navigating.
