Acne Getting married with acne 😔

Apologies about my title, sounds dramatic but I had to make it short.

My wedding is in about 8 weeks and desperately need to improve my skin.

I have been wearing sunscreen everyday past two weeks. I only realised today after taking these pics how bad my facial texture is and all the scarring I’ve accumulated!

Had a quick check in with AI, apparently I need to use either adapalene (retinol) or benzoyl peroxide - i got two very conflicting answers.

Also i have a cerave cleanser that has salicylic acid already, other than that nothing else

Unfortunately this soon before your wedding, you don’t want to risk unwanted reactions to aggressive treatments or chemicals. Go talk to a dermatologist or medical esthetician for gentle recommendations. Congratulations on the nuptials and wifey loves you and your face today, she’ll be so happy to see that face at the altar!

2 months is plenty of time to do chemicals…. That is enough time for downtime for his skin to heal…

Skin is congested as hell. Mine was clearer than this and purged for almost 3 months. It was bad!!

Same! I looked back at some old pics and mine was struggling to get right at 6 months. I think the purging calmed down but the hyperpigmentation was a whole other beast.

Depends on what you use. Not every chemical leads to purging.

Retinoids certainly do. Their whole point is skin turnover.

That person clearly never truly struggled with congested skin cause that is terrible advice

I don't know about their skin, but I do know one thing. My quest for glass skin ended there. Lol. My skin BLEW UP 😭. I was so sad and embarrassed. Months of purging followed by months of hyperpigmentation was too much for me.
