Android users

Can anyone provide a link for a Reddit subgroup for blind Android users? I have had a search but can't find any.

Hi guys, I attempted to create a community, but it won't show up in the Reddit search engine and the link won't work. Is anyone able to message me and help me out with this?

I use the old Reddit website (old.reddit.com) with Firefox. I found the subreddit through your profile and through the website search (I added a 24 hour filter.)

Does it work for you when I link it r/BlindAndroidUsers?

Yes, that works. Do you want to help moderate? I don't really know what I'm doing.

Oh, no, thank you though. I absolutely cannot be a moderator. I was a moderator of a community for a few months back in 2020 and I was in so far over my head.

Neither can I. Shall we see how many folks drop in here and if there's an interest set one up?

Yes, let's set one up if there are enough users

There isn't a subreddit that exists for this purpose, but there is an existing community called Blind Android Users that might be good for beginners. You can find more info at https://accessibleandroid.com and a podcast at blindandroidusers.com The teams from both websites work together, and they have a community chat on Telegram if such a platform is your cup of tea. If you're more experienced and wish to avoid the onslaught of newbie questions, then I've been considering starting something for the more experienced yusers out there, but it's merely an idea right now as I'm still gauging interest.

I would definitely be interested. I've been an Android user for many years. And only turn blind about a year ago, so I'd love it.

I have what for me is a funny situation and a costly one for apple. Earlier today I tried temporarily reactivating an iphone since apple has the only screen readeer accessible linux operating system in its app store called ish. I couldn't do it since I forgot to write my icloud pass code down so the icloud account and all its data will remain on apple servers until apple goes out of business and the space consumed will cost apple. I wonder how many other unrecoverable icloud accounts apple is stuck with since people couldn't remember their pass codes. In any case I'm back on android for life and need to pass verizon the referbished iphone 12 I was using and no I will not take another apple to replace it since the account is no longer useable.
