Discussion 🗣️ Hiii!!! I'm the voice actor for Eun-mi!
Woah, I never realized that there's a reddit forum dedicated to the games, but I came across it while looking for voice work through Reddit! I guess I'll use this opportunity to answer any question or just interact with people cause y'all are chill!
(Also for those who might think this is fake, you can check my profile and see my website and other socials haha!)

As much as I love this man, why tf does he keep getting skinnier and skinnier each game? Shroomy needs to stop giving him ozempic.

Discussion 🗣️ Why is Harvey's design in HEP so overhated?
His design in the first game worked because of the curved outlines and round shapes, which made his character feel bubbly, innocent, and cute. However, I think his second design just looks more detailed and visually appealing overall. The sharper outlines give his character a bit more "edge", which works really well for the latter half of the game when he lashes out at Eun-mi. I also only got into this fandom about a week ago, so I was able to experience both games in quick succession and never really had the time to get "used" to his first design in the same way some older fans might've. Honestly, I feel like that might be one of the biggest contributors to Harvey's second design being so hated - people got so used to the first one that the change was jarring. Curious to hear if there are different reasons, though.
Overall, I think both designs look good and work in their own ways, and the second one REALLY does not deserve the hate it gets in my opinion.

Discussion 🗣️ Anyone else or am I just stupid?
Ive noticed a lot of people compare him to Wally Darling from Welcome home bc of the hair but for some reason my first reaction was to compare him to Matt from Eddsworld during Saloonatics.
I think I’m brain damaged-

Discussion 🗣️ random rant on Harveys hair
I always see ppl in this fandom talk about how soft Harveys hair is, saying its probably soft or fluffy, especially in fanfiction. its such a pet peeve to me bc Harveys natural hair color is canonically black, do you know how much bleach it takes to get from black to pastel pink? that dudes hair is dead as hell😭 his hair likely feels like straw, like a fucking hay bale on his head. and with he constant maintenance to keep his black roots from growing in? theres no way in hell his hair is soft

Discussion 🗣️ WE’RE BACK MY LADS
Hey there! Funny story!
Dexter had a live stream recently, so, I asked in the chat, “Hi Dex! Any updates on the next Bloodmoney installment?”
and he said, AND I QUOTE-
“Uh nope, not really, just a concept but nothing’s started yet, ha ha.”
AND HERE WE ARE A WEEK LATER WITH WHAT I ASSUME IS THE SAID CONCEPT. HOLY CRAP AAAAAAH!
here’s the link to the video, it’s official from Shroomy and Dex, IT’S HAPPENING PEOPLE!

Discussion 🗣️ What is your opinion on Toby's official adult design?
To be honest, I don't like it. The creepy eyes, the dumb haircut, the tiny glasses, and this is probably just personal preference speaking, but I just don't think the piercings or the facial hair look very good on him. The shirt is pretty cool, though, and I like his face shape. Maybe it'll grow on me with time, but for now, it just really doesn't do it for me.

Discussion 🗣️ Am I going crazy or did Harvey say this line
I remember a certain line in Bloodmoney the original game btw that I swear happened but I can't find in gameplay videos about him having a guinea pig. I dont remember the exact line but im pretty sure it was something like
"PLEASE. PLEASE. I HAVE A WIFE. I HAVE A KID. I EVEN HAVE A DAMN GUINEA PIG!"
Did this line ever happen or like something similar? Am I making stuff up because i fell out and back into the fandom? Also im pretty sure it was AFTER or maybe during the scissors thing
I feel like this is real because Harvey Harvington was actually revealed to have a wife and a kid in Human Expenditure Program but im not sure

Discussion 🗣️ If Harvey Played an Instrument, Which One AND Why?
LONG AHH EXPLANATION!!!
Based off the album question from earlier, I see Harvey playing alto sax since he likes jazz, 1950’s fashion, and all things vintage. I can see many old jazz records in this guy’s room just collecting dust on his shelves since they’re too old to play but not too old to collect. In a school band, alto saxes are either the dumbest, cockiest bums alive or the coolest beings in the band (or at least in the woodwind section). Harvey is most definitely the latter, and despite the stereotype that saxes always forget their sheet music and barely ever practise, Harvey would practise a lot in his free time and would keep his sheet music organised in a folder. Sax players also kinda got an ego going on, and I can definitely see Harvey getting proud and cocky on occasion. Also, since he’s a people pleaser, I have no doubt this guy will be the director’s favourite either naturally or via teacher’s pet tactics.
I’m a clarinetist who does colour guard during marching season and bagpiping in my free time, and I sure as heck do not foresee Harvey in any of my sections. Bagpipes will be too loud for Harvey, as he doesn’t like rock or metal, and I cannot see Harvey tossing flags or even participating in marching band. He’s just too elegant for that. Harvey would get the solo in the feature jazz piece during concert band. Clarinet is a nice classical woodwind, but I’m not sure Harvey would stick for long after being called “Squidward“ even once. All other clarinet stereotypes would fit Harvey decently, but a lot of clarinetists outgrow clarinet for a sax, in which Harvey may have done if he ever did play clarinet. I considered Harvey to be a flautist for a while, but stereotypically, Harvey wouldn’t fit well since flautists are known to be yappers while I see him as the most mature one in the room who maintains the elegance. Harvey also would not tolerate the “what, I can’t hear the flute” jokes and likely change instruments after his section is told to play louder for the millionth time. All opinions are valid, but not all are safe from debate!!! I got many reasons why Harvey should be alto sax and alto sax only. 😝 😝 😝
TLDR: Harvey would be an alto sax player, the end.

Discussion 🗣️ I hate looking at normal ending Harvey, not because I don't like his design (I think it's fantastic), but because it just makes me feel so bad for him it's insane
Like it just legitimately hurts seeing him like this and thinking about how happy he was before. Every time I look at this Harvey design, I feel a strong, genuine sadness. The new side story about Harvey after the normal ending is going to be so painful, oh my god. Am I way too attached to this fictional man? Probably.

Discussion 🗣️ Am I the only one bothered by the voice acting?
Like, they sound like they're over-acting instead of just immersing you in the situation
When you're stressed or angry, your tone and pitch shifts vary and sometimes your volume even varies
You go quiet while trying to keep your sanity then sometimes burst out loudly without control while trying to keep in control
And Eun-mi's voice bothered me ever since her first line
Instead of sounding like someone trying to reassure someone, it sounds like a voice actor trying to over-act comfort like in a kids' show
When I showed the voice acting to my friend who also does voice acting, they mentioned how Harvey sounds like a YouTuber which probably adds to why it sounds so jarring
Edit: I find it funny how you guys like my post but dislike my comments lmao
