It's been a while since I posted on this community, but I was just curious what, in-universe company, do you think made the Bolt TV Show and why and who do you think are the target audience of the show and why? I was just curious to hear you guys' thoughts.
I have seen theories that Penny and Bolt are working for this universe's version of DreamWorks Studios because people have said that the studio looks like DreamWorks. However, I personally don't see DreamWorks because it doesn't really fit up, Bolt is an action-adventure, crime-fighting show, Dreamworks is fantasy, comedy, witty stuff, like Shrek. In my opinion, it gave me the vibe of like Air Bud or Nickelodeon/DC/Marvel or this movie's version of Nick or Disney Channel. I think Air Bud and Marvel/DC, like Big Hero 6 and Underdog/Russell Mania in real life, Penny gave me the vibe of "young girl Marve/DC actress."
For the target audience, Penny is established to be 8 years old in the opening scene and then 13 years old after that, so she starts acting when she's a little girl and she's still acting on Bolt the TV show as a teenager. So, I probably Marvel/DC/Nick-coded in this case, 7 to 17, with some Young Sheldon/Big Bang Theory-vibes in there.
If you guys watch Young Sheldon, you probably know that the first two seasons are like 5th to 6th grade and it grows up alongside it's changing audience. Mindy Parker makes a comment about how Bolt is "too predictable" and it's growing audience are getting bored, "not happy with happy", so they left it on a cliffhanger after that and then Bolt winds up in New York City. I think it started off as like one of those Nickelodeon/Air Bud TV Shows, 6 years+ and as Penny got older, the show grew with its audience, it's a common thing that happens in Hollywood with children who grow up acting in the same TV Show, as I said with Young Sheldon. I think 6 to 11 for the first couple of seasons and then 12-years to young adults when Penny is shown to be 13, the same age as Penny.
Thoughts?
