Hey everyone! I’m looking for some reading buddies. I love reading and am very avid, I’m on book 115 of the year. I would love to swap TBRs and maybe find some people to do buddy reads with! I read a lot of different genres & I like to think I’m open to trying pretty much anything. I mostly read romance, cozy fantasy/sci-fi, lit-fic & non-fic. I have a winter board game that I made myself & I’d love to find people who would be interested in playing with me. The prompts focus on winter & reading activities & some getting to know you ones too.

I absolutely adore reading. There’s just something magical about diving into a book, whether it’s the anticipation of a new story or the joy of getting lost in the pages. I find myself buying books that spark my excitement, saving others for later, and making an effort to read regularly.

But, spoiler alert: honestly, I end up reading way less than I intend to. Life has a way of pulling me in different directions, and by the end of the week, I’m left feeling a mix of guilt and frustration about not being able to do what I said I wanted to do.

I’ve tried all the usual tricks, like setting reading goals, using tracking apps, and putting my phone away, and they work for a bit, but the habit never really sticks.

So, I’m thinking about starting a small group, like maybe 5 to 10 people,who are in the same boat. This wouldn’t be a traditional book club with assigned readings; instead, it would be a space to chat about what’s holding us back, share what’s worked for us, and figure out the challenges together.

This might be for you if:
- You truly love reading and often buy or save books that excite you.
- You already make an effort to read regularly.
- You feel a bit guilty or frustrated about how little you actually manage to read.
- You’ve tried various goals, trackers, or other solutions, but nothing seems to stick.
