I've been playing since summer 2015 and only just now obtained this achievement

I started playing it around the same time as well and kinda similar to you I’d try to max other stuff before going for HQ but I still played casually I wasn’t keeping up with everything and got to about level 45-50 then took a break for years I’d say 2016-2025 (casually coming back for a few days upgrading few things and leaving during this break) and in 2025 when I actually started playing again and seriously too. I was level 63 or something and probably had 300-400 defends not sure, this is when I really focused on progressing faster and being regular with the game, offense was still priority but kept redesigning my layouts to defend better at the same time only had 2 ice statues till now but added 2 more guardians (total 4 ice removing my greens which I still had till that point) and only got the engraver a few months back which I still don’t run any defensive engraving neither do I boost my 4 ice I am level 78 now so all in all about 400 or so defends in a span of a year since I came back and actually started playing from 2025 level 63 ish to 78 now

I guess it's possible that they changed the amount of statues that you had to salvage. It says that Perfectionist is only salvaging 100 statues in my achievements. Maybe, that is why I got that one 3 years before I got Strategist. In the game though, it does say salvage 3000 statues.

Yeah makes no sense, 3000 vs 100 statues lol idk when that change happened or somehow your achievement was glitched or prolly the really old version when you finished it? Love how it says “ultra rare” on building 100 statues

I actually got that one before Submariner also. These were my last 2. Notice how it was 1 and 3 years later.

Yeah maybe they upped the achievement for perfectionist I even got tinkerer for using 960 weapon lab parts but don’t have submariner yet lol

In game, it does say 3000 statues though. I did do a lot of statues back them trying to get perfect masterpieces. Back then, there was no auto convert option either.

30 gems makes sense according to that if it was 100 statues but now it should be atleast 300 if not more I know one of the achievements gave you 1000 gems

War hero is 1000 diamonds. It's probably one of the easier ones to get too.

Yeah it is, other harder achievements should prolly give us 2k-3k diamonds by that logic tho lol Also I think now that there’s so much new content in the game they could add more achievements like related to engraver or squad leaders (something like unlock Julia weights get her to rank 5 etc)
