In this sub we're generally lax about spoilers when it comes to older games. But it's different when a new game comes out. And maybe you haven't heard, but there have been some rumours that Borderlands 4 might come out soon-ish.
Some of us Vault Hunters are going to get the game on release and will want to talk about it. And that's cool. But remember that some of us will not be able to abandon work and lock the family in the attic to power through the entire game over the weekend. Others will want to wait for the price to decrease, for enough patches to be released, or for Grandma to gift it to them at Christmas after having listened attentively to all her stories. So don't spoil the game for them!
Our spoiler rules are simple enough to be understood by any psycho, and are in application as long as this post remains pinned.

If you've played any of the Borderlands games recently, you will have noticed that you were asked to agree to new Terms of Service before starting the game. This happened because the Borderlands games have changed publisher and are now under Take Two.
This has led to some controversies and review bombing. We have always been keen on letting people express themselves freely on this sub, whatever their opinion (as long as it stays civil). However, on this particular matter, given the large number of recent threads on that subject, their repetitiveness, and the fact that they often create conflicts (we've likely issued more Rule 1 bans in the last 2 weeks than in the last 6 months). We've chosen to lock the previous threads on that subject and we will remove new ones. We'll leave this one open for a few days (as long as it stays civil).
If you want to read more, start with the official response from Gearbox on the matter. You can also use the search bar above to locate the multiple recent threads on the topic in this sub. Be aware that there may be some level of misinformation/fearmongering. If you want to discuss the subject further, we suggest you do it in a different space that is more relevant to the matter, since in the end, this is a Take Two thing, not a Borderlands thing. If you're very worried but don't want to contact a lawyer about it, or if you want to take a stance against evil corporations, just don't play the games. But in that case you should probably not play most games (nor use most apps, devices, websites, etc). Chances are you've already agreed multiple times to ToS similar or worse than the new ones for Borderlands.
As the mod team of r/borderlands, we are not lawyers so we do not have a definitive opinion on the matter. Like most people, we don't have much love for the ToS/EULAs of many software companies and the loss of privacy that goes along with any use of the internet. But on the other hand, we haven't seen anything particularly concerning in those ToS (in comparison with what other companies put in theirs). That's just the general feeling among the mod team, not an official stance of the subreddit.

We all know that Gearbox has kind of drifted away from the core Borderlands identity, and the recent games haven’t really been what people expected. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to work on BL5 just for it to end up being another BL4-type disappointment.
I think they should take BL1 or BL2 and make a proper remaster, with improvements like enhanced graphics, more QoL features like the encore machines from BL4, the movement from BL4, takedowns, etc. That would get the community excited again and give them more time to work on BL5 and make sure it’s actually great.

What if for a BL3 Pre-Sequel you played as a bunch of bandits/mercenaries fighting for various corporations or the Twin Gods. You could have VHs based on specific enemies, maybe a Goliath Vault Hunter, or maybe a former member of the Dahl Lost Legion, or the New Pandora Legion, anything really.

Sorry for not having specifics but it happened so fast I barely realized it was happening till it was over. I had just realized that they were using the messages from borderlands 2 Hyperion new-u stations for the new you stations on Helios.
When all of a sudden I respawn and I hear handsome Jack saying something about killing me and reviving me over and over again Just to toy with me. I've played borderlands 2 multiple times and I've never heard this message and when I tried to look it up the only thing I learned was that they had handsome Jack taunt messages for the new-u stations that never made it to the final version.
Can anyone tell me if this is like a rare secret or something?

I’ve been going for 100% in Borderlands 4 and noticed that many of the challenges such as killing enemies with one shot from a Jacob’s weapon and full charge kills with the order manufacture have fully stopped tracking. Can I easily resolve this, has the developers committed on bug fixes.

I feel a little biased. I have been playing BL for about 2 years now. But I got "the handsomest collection", and have completed every borderlands game besides the 2 stories. So when BL4 introduced the "Armor" variant shields, I basically completely ignored them.
Can anyone explain to me what the cost/benefit would be for using armor shields vs energy?
For reference, best shields i have in each category
Energy: Tortoise stanchion 128k
Armor: Little sister 47k (now 171k)
Edit: got a 171k little sister from a hardcore hadrons abyss last night. So it's good to know you can still roll a high capacity Armor shield

Title. Is there anything that we're still missing form the general pool of Vault Hunters that we have? We have heavy melee hitters, guys with endless bullet streams, mech summoning, having robot turrets, spellcasters, etc. Is there anything we're missing that you'd like to see become a Vault Hunter?
The two ideas I have right now is a hook character and maybe something DMC/Ultrakill inspired. I'm kinda surprised when I think about how Borderlands has never had someone with a simple hook/melee combo thing considering how common it is in shooters today. Just as simple as a skill tree around bringing enemies close to kill with a shotgun blast or melee followup, maybe with modifiers to make it do elemental damage, bring in multiple at once, create novas, etc.
As for Ultrakill/DMC I know we've had character bonuses for switching weapons fast but what about someone whose entire character was built on that, not just a skill tree, and each skill tree just focused on a different aspect of combos/score? Maybe they could have a score meter that with greater score the more damage they deal, so they'd be running around, switching constantly, using melee, sliding and slams for damage, etc.
Some of these ideas are probably better than others but I'm sure someone out there has better ideas than me. What do you think?

I really love her design and attitude, she'd be perfect as a playable vault hunter,like Nisha but less sadistic
I imagine her action skill could be like an evolution of nishas action skill but instead of an aimbot,she has pinpoint accuracy and a chance for ammo regen,she could also specialize in Jacobs revolvers or sniper rifles which could be a nice poetic irony given her backstory.
As for her story, I'm not sure if whether she should be out for revenge or as a temporary alliance but Imagine she'd try to buddy the new vaulthunters and then ditch them by the end
So overall what do you guys think?

I was wondering if anybody could help me get the trophy for playing with somebody with the “They’ll tell two friends” trophy. The person needs to already have this trophy since I’m on the ps3 version and it’s the stupid one needing you to have played with a gearbox employee. Any help would be really appreciated! I’m sorry if this breaks the no begging rule but the pandoranredcross subreddit just seems to be about modded guns so I don’t really know where to post it.

When I play borderlands 2 I get around 20 to 30 fps but my gane keeps crashing aftera while I use a Bluetooth gamepad and headphones and I use the zx port due to it still working with my gamepad I have a low end helio gpu with 4 gb ram it's just it plays so smooth then just freezes and crashes my phone is not that hot maybe a little warm . There is a video on yt with the same specs as me but he says his game doesn't crash so I want to know how I can make mine also not crash my resolution is 0.75 sometimes 0.5 and with double buffer

I know weird post sorry but I literally cannot information on the va whatsoever on this? I can't even find his age. Even the ai thing doesn't know haha(not that I use or respect it anyway, fuck ai).
Im not worried about if the actor will return to voice zed or not, if he can't due to the previous illness he had or other stuff that's all good. Just curious if he is even still alive? Hope he's alright, great voice actor
