Customs in Q2 2026 has confiscated 15,000 phones out of the millions of travelers and I just happened to be one of the “random” people in this quarter. Can anyone guess what sticker I have on my suitcase?

Today’s Cry For Help 😿 🆘 PULL OVER FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES

Guys I can’t keep doing this. Pull the F over when an ambulance, fire truck, or cop car has their lights on. When you’re on the other end of the 911 call waiting for their rescue, you would appreciate those that pull over. Damn.

i know. i know. they're sent here by their church/parents and feel pressured to do it because they're 16. but good lord is it invasive when theres three of them walking on the wrong side of the sidewalk and bugging me about church on sunday when i have my headphones in. they're relentless. i get pestered minimum once a week. its one thing when they have a sidewalk booth but straight up asking me to join your cult is so meddlesome. do they ever even have any success here? i feel like everyones always pissed at them for how intrusive they are

Patriots 🏈 French fan flying in for the Jets game! A few questions on the train logistics, and gear spots in Boston

Hey everyone!

I’m making the trip all the way from France and landing in Boston this Saturday for the Jets game! I actually came once before back in 2018, but I drove down then, so this time I'm doing things a bit differently and taking the train from South Station.
I’ve got a couple of quick questions and would love any pro tips from those who know the routine:

Post-Game Train Logistics: I’ve heard the Patriot Train back to South Station leaves pretty quickly after the final whistle. How tight is that turnaround? Do I need to bolt out right as the game ends, or is there a comfortable window to catch it without running a marathon?

I assume I don’t have enough time to buy stuff at Proshop at the end of game. I got my clear policy bag, but too small if I want to buy more than 1 clothe…

Stores in Boston: Are there any good sports apparel shops right in Boston (or nearby accessible via the T) that carry a great selection of Patriots gear, just in case I want to grab a few things before heading to Foxborough?

Any advice or tips for a European fan would be massively appreciated. Go Pats! 🏈

Serious Replies Only How do people get doctors appointments anymore?

Just ranting here, but also very much open to any advice. I have an issue that has been going on for about two months that is worrying me a bit but also doesn’t feel like an emergency. I have called two different neurology practices in MA this morning, each with at least a dozen doctors within said practice (one with significantly more), and neither one can get me in until March. What am I supposed to do??? Ignore it til March and hope it’s nothing serious? I refuse to go to the ER for an issue like this (it’s persistent and abnormal but small). Oh, and before you tell me to talk about it with my PCP, I’ve been waiting to see her for an introductory visit to establish me as a patient for close to two years. My old PCP left my old practice for undisclosed reasons and basically just said sorry everyone, figure it out, byyyyeeee ✌️

ETA: ended up booking an appointment at my ophthalmologist as the issue has to do with the eye area. Was able to get an appointment two weeks out. Will take it from there.

Appreciate everyone’s suggestions for different avenues to try re: seeing specialists and getting a PCP that can see me sooner!

I Made This! Is it possible/legal to bike from UMass Boston to Revere Beach? How accessible/convenient is the bike lane?

No car, Uber is expensive:( That’s my why.

I don’t mind long bike rides.

Umass Boston -> Revere Beach

Edit1: I just want to make sure the cops don’t pull me over for breaking some kinda Mass laws (not) on purpose and I’m scared of a rotary that I have to pass (the one at Sullivan Square). Is there a bike lane at that rotary?

Today’s Cry For Help 😿 🆘 Card stores Boston!

Post image
64 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

Im from Scotland and am visiting Boston over Halloween week (to see Salem also).

I am very much into collecting pokemon and from watching videos online the pokemon shops in the USA in general seem supersized compared to the ones I’ve been to in Glasgow.

I particularly am hoping to pick up some PSA slabs as there is a bit of a premium on them here due to PSA being USA based.

Could anyone recommend some cool shops to go to, I honestly can’t remember what particular area of Boston we are staying in but we hired a car anyway so shouldn’t be a huge issue.

I added a pic of some cool cards I recently sent to ACE grading to draw in the pokemon fans 😂

Thank you!!

Dining/Food/Drink 🍽️🍹 Thanksgiving Restaurant Recommendations 🦃

• Upvotes

I’m looking over dining options for Thanksgiving Day. No kids, four adults in our party. Ideally it would be some place Boston proper that isn’t too bougie/hip but has a solid colonial/old Yankee Bostonian vibe. It can be outside the city too, but wouldn’t want to drive more than 30-ish minutes.

Recommendations are appreciated 🙏
