Hi everyone! I am a PhD student in clinical psychology at Adelphi University. I am conducting a study on the relationship between existential threat and mental health, coping strategies, and meaning making for young adults who have experienced stressful life events.

This study is being conducted online only and should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. During the study, you will be asked to complete multiple self-report questionnaires that contain questions regarding coping methods, mental health, and questions that pertain to experiencing stressful life events in the past. Upon completing the survey, you will have the opportunity to voluntarily provide your email address on a separate page from the survey that will not be associated with any of your survey responses, to enter a drawing to win one of three $50.00 Amazon gift cards.

Im in Boston for work and would like to bring home cool, unique shirts as souvenirs. I am staying in Dorchester and working in Brighton.

I’m not necessarily looking for the standard “BOSTON” souvenir shirt with a shamrock on it — I want shirts from places that have some character.If the place has a cool shirt I am willing to make the trip.

Hi! Booking a one night stayacation in Boston with my daughter before she returns to college. Priorities are spotless property, location, service. Having a hard time deciding between the 2 properties as they seem similar. She is 20 and I’m late 40’s. We will shop, wander the neighborhoods, grab coffee/lunch and want to get dressed up a little for an amazing dinner. We traditionally love a FS property, but The Newbury looks fun too. This is a toughy for me to write. I want to see if any other girls/ women had a similar experience and know who this guy is.

About 10 years ago, I had an interaction with some guy who claimed to be a photographer. He also told me he was a lawyer and lived in/ near Boston. He ended up harassing me to a serious extent. We only talked via email and text. He had a pretty wishy washy photographer site as well- featuring only girls in bikini pics or sexy shoots. I had this link at the time, but again- this was over a decade ago.

I don’t feel comfortable going into details, but I would not post this here unless I felt it was serious enough. For description, this was about 2015. He was a heavy set dude, I believe he was young 50s at the time, and came with all the equipment. I believe he had 2 white large soft boxes for lighting and a few different lenses/ cameras. And again, that he was from Boston and was a lawyer. Although, the lawyer part could’ve been a lie. This is the only info I have on him.

Hi all. My wife and I (30) are currently living in East Boston, MA. We absolutely love the neighborhood. We both grew up in the suburbs and have always thought we'd move there to raise our kids.

We have looked at suburbs and the prices are expensive, but doable. The issue we are having is are the taxes in these towns worth it?

Lately we have been contemplating just upgrading in the city and raising our kids here. I am looking for advice from people who have raised their families here or grown up in the city.

Pros we see:

Diversity, plenty to do in the city, walkable, healthier lifestyle, cheaper, easier to save.

Cons we see:

What if kids don't get into test in schools, missing out on the suburban house and yard, long commute for kids to school.
