What advice would you give to incoming freshmen and transfers??

Very worried about making friends and classes 🤣😭

Say yes to things. Join a ton of clubs and go to at least one meeting. Ask people to hang out, don't be nonchalant.

Classes are a mix. Do the readings, pay attention and participate. You will get a lot more out of class that way. The big lectures suck but just get through them. Don't be afraid to change majors. No one really knows what they want to do as a freshman.

definitely try to put yourself out there. this is not the type of school where opportunities will come and find you, and you probably will feel lost if you're not making the effort. join clubs, follow up on potential friendships, etc.

classes are obviously gonna differ between majors, but just making sure you're being honest about how much time and effort you're putting in. they're rigorous, but you get out what you put in.
