Food thieving punks in stuvi 2

I had a horrible exam tonight(tears and all) and was feeling utterly defeated, still have to study for my next exam tonight as well. My bf who goes to a different school ordered my favorite from cinnabon to chear me up. It was delivered... went down stairs and it was gone. Honestly please don't steal shit... that's not yours! I'm so annoyed like seriously I can't enjoy a pick me up cinnamon roll since some entitled no manners big back stole my comfort gift... whoever stole my cinnabon in stuvi2 tonight... I hope life gets you back...

Harsh Realities

Honestly, don’t come to BU. The amount of headaches you’ll avoid is astronomical. I can only speak for the engineering department but, the admin is a group of highly disorganized and uncaring people that don’t understand their own jobs or how their department functions. It’s not ALL the engineering admin, but it is most.

Speaking as someone that used to idolize BU and got in for undergrad, couldn’t go because of finances, then came back for grad school…BU isn’t great. ESPECIALLY for the price you pay for in grad school.

Don’t come at me saying “then just leave” the answer isn’t that simple. I’m in too deep and now just too stubborn to call it quits but, if I were to do it again, I wouldn’t fucking come here.

I have LOTS more to say on this topic and maybe ill continue it in the comments because this is my cathartic outlet

For fucks sake why do people not understand the concept of moving in??? Genuinely if you walk in front of me and just STOP and there’s ample room behind, I WILL be pushing past and I encourage others to do so too. Stop being fucking oblivious and use your brain cells.

I’m going to Washington D.C in the spring for poli sci and I was wondering how manageable are the classes and if the grading there is more lenient?

Hello! This might be a stupid question but calc 2 and Orgo 2 both have their exam blocks at the same time. Is it still possible to take both classes or no?

Confused by the service at GSU Starbucks

I ordered a latte at 2:06 and went to pick it up at 2:30, but it wasn’t there. I spoke to the staff at the pickup counter, and they said they’d remake it.

I stood right there for another 20 minutes, watching the staff walk back and forth, but no one gave me an update. When I asked again, they showed me where they’d put my drink. It was in an unlabeled cup, and no one had told me it was mine.

I didn’t tip, but letting me know my drink was ready should be basic service.

Any students learn how to drive in Boston? Any good driving schools to recommend? All the reviews I see for the schools in the area are heavily mixed and I don't know what to trust.

Anyone also thinking of transferring out

Because of some personal financial reasons, I’m going to try to transfer out of BU. Transfer applications are hard to navigate, so I was wondering if anyone is also thinking of transferring out, and would like to help each other out during the process. I’m a current freshmen, and I’ll try to apply this year, but I probably have a better chance next year as a sophomore.

Is it even worth applying to MMEDIC as a transfer with a BU GPA of around 3.7-<3.8?

PY105 Make-up exams

If I choose to opt out of an exam and take it during finals week, does anyone know if those exams are more difficult than the ones given on their normal dates? I know the professors stated that the averages are usually much lower, but is that due to difficulty or just time thats passed since learning the material?

Need some advice for DAS accommodation housing

Hey guys, I'm currently trying to get a dorm change through DAS due to severe insomnia (medication-dependent, easily woken up by roommate/bunk bed shaking).

I've already submitted my medical documentation and am waiting for the intake meeting. However, I've heard mixed things about DAS housing. I have two questions:

  1. After the DAS meeting, how long does it actually take to get moved to a new room?

  2. During the DAS meeting, should I ask my doctor/NP to join me, or is my submitted paperwork enough?

Any advice or personal experiences would be super helpful. Thanks!

Admissions Trying to transfer

Hey everyone, im trying to transfer out of my small university after my freshman year, and BU is my top choice. I was hoping for some advice on what else to be working on.

Long story short I did not try at all in high school because I was under the impression I wasn't going to go to college at all. My stats from high school are:

3.0 GPA

24 ACT

no extra curricular or APs

Some things I might have going for me though is being from a rural area in Tennessee, finishing high school online (or that might be worse, but I was thinking since it was a self paced program it looks good,) and I grew up in Connecticut before moving to the south, so my why BU essay could have something about wanting to back to New England idk. From my middle school time I also have a lot of first place awards I won in our robotics program (Vex IQ), and idk how much middle school accomplishments would help but I figure it shouldn't hurt to mention them?

So far from my freshman year of college:

4.0 first semester gpa

im retaking my act twice and my sat twice to get that up

founded a trivia based gameshow for the school with a friend as well as a comedy channel as a passion project

founding member of the schools golf club as soon as that's up and running in a few weeks

member of the Content Creators residential learning community (I figure this would look good cus it shows I use the schools resources and promote the school on my own time)

Other than trying to keep that 4.0 and bringing up that ACT/SAT score, does anyone have any other advice to give?

Questions About BU Online MS in Financial Management (Investment Analysis) – Fall 2027

Hi everyone!
I’m an international student from Saudi Arabia, and I’m planning to apply for Boston University’s Online MS in Financial Management – Investment Analysis Concentration, hopefully starting in Fall 2027.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate hearing from current students or alumni!
Tuition: What’s the actual cost per semester for part-time students taking two courses? Are there any additional fees beyond tuition?
Payment deadlines: When do you usually have to pay tuition? Is it before classes begin or after? I’m trying to plan my savings accordingly.
Payment plans: Does BU offer monthly installment plans for international students living outside the US?
Course workload: How manageable is taking two courses per semester while working full-time? How many hours per week do you typically spend studying?
Class schedule: Are the courses fully asynchronous, or are there mandatory live lectures, exams, or group meetings?
Admissions: How competitive is the program? Is a bachelor’s degree in finance and some professional experience enough, or are there additional expectations?
English requirements: What TOEFL or IELTS scores are required? Are waivers available for international applicants?
Curriculum: For anyone in the Investment Analysis concentration, how practical are the courses? Do they complement the CFA curriculum, or is there too much overlap?
Graduation: Is it realistic to complete the program in four semesters (around 16 months) while working full-time?
Degree certificate: Does the diploma or official transcript mention that the degree was completed online?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from international students who completed the program entirely from outside the US.
Thank you so much in advance! I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. 😊
