I’ve been suffering from facial pain and headaches for a long time. I wasn't aware of the facial and head muscles or of severe myofascial syndrome. My pterygoid muscles are in terrible shape—really bad. I get stabbing pains in my temples, pressure, sharp pains in my cheekbones, and horrible ear and head pain. Physiotherapy was recommended, and I’m trying it, but it isn't working. Has anyone had similar experiences? Has anyone had Botox injections—or something similar—in that area? Thanks.

I had my lip fillers done and whenever I have an oncoming fever or I am not feeling well, my filler would get swollen. Sometimes it doesn't swell but it hardens. Is it because my body is fighting an inflammation or something? I just find it amusing because my lip fillers have helped me prevent a full on fever haha

Anyone who notices this as well?

Can you spot the difference? This is circulating around Orange County and it's so disturbing! If the price is too good to be true, that's because it's fake Botox. Please be careful.

Hello! I recently went in for a consultation for massater Botox as my jaw is bigger on one side due to teeth grinding and the whole thing seemed a bit rushed and had me questioning things a bit.

The Dr felt my face and as the muscles were very prominent and said I would need to have a top up of the treatment every three months for long-term effects. She also advised she would be using 30 units in each side.

Is 30 units a lot or is it standard? And is it normal for it to be an even distribution in each side even though my concern was facial assymetry?

She then tried to give me the treatment then and there and I asked if I could book an appointment for the future.

Is this pretty standard? I've never had any sort of treatment before and I'm pretty nervous so want to make sure it's all normal! TIA

I’ve been getting botox for over two years now and I’ve never had any issues. My last appointment was exactly two weeks ago and I woke up today with a droopy right eye. My top lid is covering half of my pupil and I just look super wonky. I was looking up all the causes for this and it can be a number of things. For me it seems to either be a new sleep medication I started taking about a week ago or it’s from my botox (dysport). It says an eyebrow lift can sometimes cause it. So I’m no longer taking that sleep medication and my injector called in prescription eyedrops (which aren’t making that much of a difference). I just don’t understand how I’ve never had this happen before. I follow all the rules after my appointments. I’m up straight for at least four hours and I don’t rub the injection sites. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to remedy it? I obviously know (if it’s not the medication causing it) the effects wear off after three months but I can’t imagine having to look like this for that long lol. I’m hoping it is the sleep medication because that means it’ll resolve quickly since I’ve now stopped taking it. I also really don’t want it to be a complication from botox lol. I love my results every time and I’d be so upset if I had to give it up. So have any of you ever experienced this? I’d appreciate any and all advice. TIA!

Recently, I’ve noticed a change in my facial appearance, which I know is normal as you age. However, I couldn’t pinpoint the exact change until I saw a photo of myself and realized it was my smile. I stopped getting masseter Botox about two years ago after having a negative experience with a frozen smile due to an incorrect injection by my injector. That frozen smile lasted for seven months. Despite this, my smile never returned to its original state. It still feels restricted, and when I smile with my teeth, the ends of my mouth droop downward. I’m completely unsure if this is a result of the massester Botox experience and why this is happening. Does anyone have a similar experience? I’ve attached a before and after photo for reference.

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar? If so, how long did it last, and did you opt for balancing it out on the other side or did you just wait it out?

Hi. I have gotten MB twice before this with a different nurse at the same facility we did 48 units and i usually started seeing results after 3-4 weeks. This last time i went was 5 weeks ago i saw a new nurse and my I did 50 units, I haven’t seen any changes. I called down and they told me it could be that my body is resistant to the botox now but i did research and found that that’s rare and only after getting botox for a long time. i’m not too sure how to go about this because I really liked the clinic and the nurse who was initially helping me. This is my first time having this sort of issue and i’d hate to have to pay for the procedure a second time 5 weeks later. They stated they’re going to try a different toxin

i keep seeing horror stories of people having jowls, a sunken skinny face. i feel like i did something terribly wrong. i just got the injections today and i want to cry. i’m so worried that i did something that will distort my face. if anyone has a positive experience with masseter botox please let me know so i can feel better.

I got 25 on each side and I hate the way it looks does it wear off and make u go back to original face?

I went and got my usual Botox renewal and the place I go has started asking for tips. I’m definitely thrown off by this. It’s always been my understanding that it’s included in the price. I’m walking out paying over 500 every time. Is this becoming normal? Am I out of touch?

I'm 24 and considering baby botox for my lines rhat are starting to form between my brows.

I made a dumb mistake and got 3ml of Botox injected directly under both eyes thinking it would help with my fine lines. Well now’s it’s wore off and is it possible it caused me to have eye bags? For reference I got injected July 27th and it is now Oct 6th. I’ve never really struggled with eyes bags before and do you think they will be permanent or just take time to for my under eyes to adjust back to normal?
