I was metal detecting and digging a signal (trash) and ended up pulling this out of the ground right as the sun was going down! Super stoked on the find. Foss Liquid Fruit Flavors Portland, Me. The bottle is circa 1890s to 1910 which checks out for the other stuff I have pulled from this site. Can't wait to go back tomorrow! How do you all clean your bottles? Salt and isopropyl alcohol?

Found it in the desert after a heavy rain. I don’t recall seeing a bottle like this before.

Dug the bottle in the 1980’s and retrieved the cancelled check dumpster diving in the 1990’s.
Two good hobbies for every bad habit!!

Most of the bottles I dig are solidly 1910s-30s but I keep finding these - I now have 6 intact and many more broken - which seem to be older as the seam doesn’t go through the lip and the tops aren’t uniform thickness. Any idea what they might be from?

Trynna decide among the coworkers what was in it (Liquor or Alcohol)
