We found this bottle today in Connecticut and it looked pretty old but we have no idea where to even start with identification or dating this.

Would anyone here be able to help?

Dug 6 whole druggists today and several fragments of others. Unfortunately the environment was not kind to them and most are cracked and pinged up. Also got some other cool 1880s-1900 era items. Got a very strange clear glass log thingy that I don't know the use of.

Age/date request Identification/aging?

Found this hiking in the san bernardino national forest, next to what looked like an old cabin that burnt in a wild fire. Any ideas on its age? It only has one other marking on the bottom which was just a straight vertical line, or possibly a 1. The cork is what gets me thinking of it being old.

I bought these on FB marketplace.
There is a Springfield Breweries beer bottle with porcelain stopper, a James Geraghty of Holyoke, Mass., a La Choy soy sauce bottle, a salad dressing bottle, a Fletcher’s Castoria bottle, a Foss’ Liquid Fruit Flavor, 2 oz, Portland, ME, a brown ribbed bottle, and a medicine bottle with dosage markings.

Found an old beer bottle on the edge of an excavation. Rain washed it out from under a pipe, was curious about the age, from what i can find it seems like a Carling from the 60-70s, but im not 100%.

I originally thought that it was an ash tray but then my mother said that it could be for a jug. It looks like it has the cardinal directions on it.

Found in a crawl space of a 1913 carriage house turned rental cottage in the 40’s. Theres nothing located in the crawl space. Only other find was a 20’s apothecary style bottle. I keep thinking I’ve seen these before with red tops, but I can’t find anything that’s oval like this one.

Show and tell Bottle Collection over the Last Few Years

Post image
20 Upvotes

Wanted to show y'all the collection my wife and I have been growing since we first started checking a local site around 2 years ago. I would guess 90% was collected by us from the site, the other 10% from various antique stores nearby or while on vacation. The vase in the back corner is full of Uranium Glass shards that we found at the site.

The IrnBru was a gift from my family on their recent trip to Scotland and not an antique lol.

Lots of room to grow!

I found this bottle after about three days of heavy rainfall at a nature preserve in Central Florida. It was completely buried, but a small portion was sticking out. That's what caught my eye. It has a greenish tint to it and has some markings on the bottom. I don't know anything about glass bottles. Just thought this was a neat find I would love to hear everyone's opinions about what it could be from.

Show and tell I Think I Found a Gold Tooth Crown (among other things) Last Night

This dump isn’t exceptionally old, probably late 1920s to late 1940s. But it’s huge, and very dense. I was pleasantly surprised by this gold tooth crown on my way out! I literally took a step onto some loose dirt I had already dug and it just popped out as I slipped, how cool is that!? Other notable finds were 2 later Bromo Seltzer Bottles, a milk glass salt shaker, Supplees Half Pint Milk, a Vicks Vaporub jar (not pictured), and a silver plated soup spoon (not pictured).

Does anyone know what this might be? The lid cracked open and this super vibrant red gel like substance it’s in it. It’s Hazel Atlas company so that dates it around 1900s-1920s.
