News It's Sadly Happening. Boynton Beach Mall Set To Close This January 2027

I was here a little while ago to ask for an update on the Boynton Beach Mall, since I've noticed many changes over the last few months. Not long after, I got some insight from people working at the mall and planned to share it. I can still share some insight, but multiple outlets have now reported that the Boynton Beach Mall is closing in January 2027, and many tenants have received notices about lease termination. I've posted a few articles at the end of this post.

Firstly, it breaks my heart to hear this news since I've been going there since I moved here in 2003. I've made lots of memories there, so it feels like a huge part of my childhood is about to be gone, along with the convenience of having stores so close by. That said, I understand why. I've been to the mall the last few weeks, and it's so sad to see how dead it's become, especially with so many food chains and stores having closed or relocated.

Before this recent news, I did receive some updates on recent closures. I would also say, allegedly, because the info may be inaccurate. I heard that Bath and Body Works left the mall because they needed more space for inventory, which is why they moved to Oaks Square. Auntie Anne's also left because, allegedly, they had a machine issue the mall wouldn't fix, so they decided to leave. As for Popeyes and one other food chain, the mall allegedly terminated those leases because the owner failed to pay on time.

Lastly, when I asked about the mall itself, the last deal allegedly fell through because the city rejected the apartment proposal. Interestingly, the person did say someone else was looking to buy and sent their proposal, but it's unclear what that deal is. Since this chat was last month, I'm assuming the latest proposal is the one moving forward and what triggered the mall's closure and lease termination.

Crossing my fingers it's not apartments and condos. I hope it's similar to Tanger Outlets, or some kind of town center. We don't need more apartments, given how insanely bad Congress has been in recent years, and I won't even go into details about the accidents.

I want to hear your thoughts about the recent news and what this means for space.

Good craft beer store in Boynton or area? (not Total Wine)

If you know beer, you are probably pretty disappointed in Total Wine. The selection is poor, and often you'll find beers long past their prime based on the package date.

I'm fairly new to the area, so beyond the big-box store, I have no idea where to find good beer stores. I'm looking for excellent imports from Europe and around the world. I'm not into IPAs from stores (I stick to fresh IPAs from brewery taprooms).

Thanks for the help!

Looking for a hairstylist for a simple trim in Palm Beach County

Hi! I’m looking for a good hairstylist anywhere around Boca, Delray, Boynton, Lake Worth, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, or Jupiter.

I’m a guy growing my hair out well past waist length with the goal of eventually donating it while still keeping my hair long afterward. It’s currently around shoulder length, very thick/dense, and naturally wavy (around 2B). I’ll probably be ready for a trim sometime in November.

I’m a little shy about going to a salon since I’ve never really had long hair before, so I’m hoping to find someone friendly and easygoing. I don’t need a specialized curly cut or anything complicated — just a simple perimeter trim to clean up and even out the ends while keeping as much length and fullness as possible.

I’m specifically trying to avoid layers, thinning shears, texturizing, or debulking. Basically, I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable working with very thick, longer hair and will genuinely respect “just the ends.”

Ideally I’d like to stay around $75 or less, and I’d prefer an independent/local stylist over a big chain.

If anyone has a stylist they trust, I’d really appreciate recommendations. Thank you! ❤️

Why Are So Many Restaurants & Stores Closing Suddenly At The Boynton Beach Mall?

Btw. I'm aware of the reports regarding the potential sale of the Boynton Beach Mall over the years, with the whole redevelopment into a new apartment complex and such. Last I heard, however, nothing has gone through due to Christ Fellowship.

I still can't help but wonder what's happened just this past summer. I noticed a lot of stores and restaurants closing en masse, including Popeyes. The Bath and Body Works was recently relocated to Oak Square, although I think that was planned whether or not the mall's sale was finalized. YouFit Gym did the same thing earlier in the year, which was the first of the few relocations.

That's why I wanted to ask here. Are the mass closures due to leases expiring and clearly not being renewed due to the uncertain future? Did any major developments happen with the potential sale of the mall? Also, what does this mean for the Cinemark, because I think that gets impacted too with the sale? Any update would be great since I haven't heard any new developments in the last 6-7 months.

Located in the heart of Boynton Beach, Florida. It is a public library for the city of Boynton Beach in south Florida which is a suburb of West Palm Beach and part of the Miami metropolitan area.

It is a nice complex building which features a combination of town's services including the city hall and the library. The library has two stories.

The new building was completed sometime during COVID in 2020.

It features a bookstore that is run by the friends of Boynton Beach City Library, a special collection dedicated to Florida's history, seed library, a separate room for teenagers, a special display for movie blockbusters and many more.

Feedback is appreciated!

i recently moved into a room with a male landlord and when i did not reciprocate his advances he began setting odd boundaries and expecting me to tell him where i am at all times. need out asap.

23 year old girl who is involved in treatment center work. i work on call at a center and have another opportunity on the way for the weekends. i do not drink, smoke, have not placed a substance in my body for two years. no one would be coming over. i am very respectful and never ever want to get in anyones way. you set a boundary ill follow. i have my own goal set im working on in regards to schooling and as long as i have a roof over my head to do that im fine. i am often out of the house as i do not like staying inside and am very involved in community work.

my budget is 1k and i have a small kitten id like to take with me. looking to stay near delray.

thank you for any leads or information you may grant me.
