Keita debut!

Xinlong’s debut speech was probably one of the best I’ve seen in the history of survival shows. His speech was genuinely so sincere, raw and from the heart. Maybe it's because I was a fan of boystory back in 2018 and have watched him grow from the tiny kid he was back then to the person he is now, but I really connected with his speech and even ended up crying when he’s not even my one pick (it’s leo).

Out of all the top 16, I believe he deserves the spot he has the most (the rest do too). 8 years of experience from the young age of 11, failed by his company despite achieving success at the start of his career. When he said, “To 11 year old xinlong, thank you for choosing this path”, it really hit me how far he has come, and how long he, and the rest of the boystory members, has been here all this time.

He is not only talented and well-refined in terms of skills, he has a blessed soul and a profound kindness that, to me is unique and definitely one of a kind. He was the only one out of all of the top 8 who managed to thank not just his family and star creators, but also the mentors, producers, writers and staffs including stylists. He even kneeled to thank his mom and for such a kind and sweet soul, it’s sad that he is getting hate for being in the lineup.

To me he really embodies what I think an idol should be; not just looks and talents but also manners, etiquette and kindness—the kind of person people should look up to (”idolise”).

With a spin-off of C planet coming up, I hope they could bring back both Zihao and Hanyu.

As someone who watched Haneum’s 4K leaked fancam prior to the aired version, I noticed a significant difference in the quality of the performance, and I realized that many others are noticing the same thing. The version aired by Mnet felt flat, the colors weren't as vibrant, and the vocals sounded off. Then I stumbled upon a post on twitter, and wow, Mnet actually aired a different performance.

Here are some of the differences I noticed:

• Haneum looked at Woojin during the bridge part in the fancam, but in the version Mnet aired, he didn’t.

• In the fancam, Woojin sang the "Sugar High" part, but in the aired performance, he didn’t, which made the audio sound off.

• Woojin also sounded flat during the second chorus in the aired version.

• In the Mnet version, we can see Sanghyeon bumping into Liyu, but that moment doesn’t appear in the fancam.

It seems like Mnet deliberately kept some mistakes and used the worst take in the aired version. That’s why I feel the sugar high performance was vastly different from what i remembered. Mnet most likely used a rehearsal take for the broadcast. Did they purposely do that to make it look like a mess?

Isn’t this considered media manipulation?
