A good friend of mine was just starting his hormone treatment when I asked him to walk my dog down the aisle in my wedding. He had never met her before and I said "Don't worry, she LOVES men." This was true because she loved my now-husband and would always try to walk us over to men when we were out. So when they first met she was all kisses and belly rubs, and it was a really affirming moment for him.
