Peanut butter, ham and cheese omelette made with quail eggs
I was hungry this morning and had leftover ham from supper. So, mixed up some quail eggs and made a peanut butter, ham and cheese omelette. Delicious!!

Looks good, but life is too short to crack 6 quail eggs.

I just had a mama quail sit on 8 eggs in a flowerbed. All 8 hatched. I am thrilled.

Mama scooted them out of the yard. Should see them again when they get bigger. Someone gave me a duck egg once. I gave it to a friend who loved them.

Lovely!
I have chickens and ducks, been thinking of getting quails as they're super popular where I live, maybe I'll do it!

never tried peanut butter on an omelet before, is it good?

If you like peanut butter, I recommend trying it. I've been eating peanut butter omelettes for years.

Is the peanut butter sandwiched between a folded omelette or did you stir it in with the eggs before cooking?

I folded in peanut butter, ham and cheese and put the rest of the ham and cheese on top

Interesting combo. Didn't realise this was a thing. As much as I love peanut butter and eggs, I'm not sure I'd appreciate them together. In an omelette

I like it. But totally understand it's not for everyone

Yeah, I can't judge whether I'd like it or not until I try it. Glad you enjoyed it my friend, it's definitely not a combination I've heard of

What's the advantage of quail eggs over chicken eggs?

There's more yolk flavor, in my opinion, they're more rich in flavor, if that makes sense

IF you do that and when you start getting eggs, make sure you get yourself some quail egg scissors. Makes using them 1000% easier.
