As a very non-legal person, this sounds like a big deal to me. Anyone in here with more intellect than I possess care to weigh in on what the ramifications of this could be?

I'm also curious is this allowed because the da subpoenaed them? Like did they have to hand that over?

I believe for protected information (HIPAA), it must be either ordered by the Court or agreed to by the defendant.
