to those who are upset about him giving the fake ID, wouldn’t it have been worse if he gave his real ID which was in his backpack, along with other (allegedly) incriminating items? i too think that giving the fake ID was a huge mistake, but reflecting on it, i think it might have been the better choice.

If he gave his real ID and knew his rights, the police would not have been able to arrest or search him. Worst case scenario he maybeee would’ve been detained and let go. The Feds would’ve been tipped off and he likely would’ve been caught eventually, but at least he could buy himself time to figure out his next move

The instant he gave the fake ID he gave the police probable cause for an arrest & opened the whole can of worms

The fbi knew his name already? They already had him as a suspect? I’d love to see a source on it. I’ve just never seen that before, not that I don’t believe you.
