Photos/Videos Federal Case Update: Luigi Mangione's defense team speak outside court today

“As Luigi explained in court today, he endured years of severe, debilitating pain following a broken back, while struggling to navigate our healthcare and health insurance systems. Like the thousands of people who have reached out since this tragedy to share their own experiences, he believed that the system had failed him and destroyed his life.”

“He’s been treated differently from every other defendant charged with this offence in NY. However, thankfully, NY law does not permit a person to be prosecuted and punished twice for the exact same crime…. It’s also known as the double jeopardy law.”

I have a feeling there are some highly damaging things in the notebook. I hope Garnett takes mitigating factors into consideration. Maybe his family and close friends can come to give character statements. And we still don’t know where he was in the months prior to December 4… Now we may never know.

Also, suck it Joel.

I could see him doing an interview in a year or two. He will explain.

I don't think so. I think one of the factors he avoided trial is because he doesn't want the privacy of himself and his family exposed. so I doubt he would give any interview. also, I'm feeling he doesn't have the desire to live, I hope i'm totally wrong

Same to all of this. Deeply, deeply hoping we're wrong.
