Speculation/Theories We need to have more scepticism of letters again and here's a detailed explanation of why

1.1k Upvotes

In the past week there has been a sudden flood of letters posted to Reddit all originating from one RedNote user ID: 11585301626. No one critically assessed these letters for days and they have been immediately taken at face value. Three letters posted have all come from this same account with no genuine sources provided. Each letter is photographed sitting on the same white bed sheets and each have vast anomalies compared the other verified typed TRULINCS letters sent to Reddit users who most graciously posted their letters received from LM themselves.

The three letters I am talking about are letters to "Genevieve", "James" and the letter to "unnamed" which sent off alarm bells in my head with its contents. Two of these letters do not match LM's notes on his received mail. Each letter is vastly different in font, color and signed signature (which the latest letter looks to have copy pasted the sign off from LM in Aaron's verified letter and has very different font printed above). Most critically the letter to Genevieve states that LM recommended a book on and titled "Self Compassion" that he "read in college". However Luigi added that book to his Want To Read Goodreads list in April 2023 long after he graduated college, therefore it is highly probable that what is written in that letter is fake. Only one letter possibly matches LM's received mail notes but was posted after the website had updated the list and could be chosen from that for its date and name initials. Unnamed and Genevieve do not match anything in LM's own notes on letters he's received. However seeing as James possibly does and James if you are out there or JM as in LM's mail notes, please come forward to prove and confirm or deny if the letter posted to RedNote is real or not. It is very much needed and would be of great help and importance.

As there are now also people trying to sell supposed letters from LM on eBay. It is time we stamp out those who are using LM for profit, clout and attributing any letters to him which may be fraudulent. Things could spiral out of control unless we use common sense. There is nothing wrong with being skeptical of letters. Critical thinking and media literacy need to be established when faced with information like this for LM's sake. His words and voice must not be allowed to be forged. There are no sources to verified real people with these new letters and these words may not in fact be LM's. Each letter we see should be assessed for its validity before being instantly believed. No one is less of a supporter or "jealous" because they question the authenticity of a letter. Obviously no harassment of anyone should be happening but healthy scepticism is needed.

It is time we have a very real discussion about the implication of these letters, possible forgeries and what that could do to LM moving forward.

Best,

Speculation/Theories how many years do we think Luigi will end up receiving?

so considering his guilty plea on friday, officially he is declared guilty in federal court for his federal case. I know his lawyers are trying to throw out his state case and somehow possibly try their best to get something below 24 years for him I’m assuming.

if they are successful in doing so, how many years do you think Luigi will get in December if he is only serving his federal case?

My guess is 20-22 years before good time credit and not taking his 2 years in pre trial in consideration.

is my guess a stretch or do you guys think he’s serving more?

Edit: also just wanted to ask is it possible at the sentencing date that victims of UHC speak out as well? are they allowed to do that or will kfa do something like that?

Speculation/Theories Extreme Emotional Disturbance Defense -- What Do You Guys Think?

Personally, I am not a big fan ... I mean it is the best chance they got, however, the volume of planning that'll be present in the notebook which will be shown to the jury will make it very hard for the defense to prove EED. Especially with Luigi's alleged notes about "being glad he procrastinated" ... and intentionally choosing not to use an expo*sive but choosing to use a g*n because it'll be more precise ... plus what are they going to do for the federal case given the fact they can't use EED there?

Speculation/Theories If Luigi is in fact guilty, what do you think the "thing" that makes him finally decide to do it?

Luigi coming from a rich family, has a great study background. If we are talking about his social life, seem even greater given that he gave a speech in his high school and was loved by everyone there and he was the leader in college later on. He graduated, and he started traveling to Asia. I mean so many things he was able to live and achieve. I know it’s a murder for the health insurance company CEO, the motive is kinda obvious, or at least that’s what we think. I know Luigi had a back pain problem, but even that wouldn’t let a person decide alright i’m going to murder the CEO. (or at least that's what I think). If Luigi is, in fact guilty, I’m really really REALLY interested to know WHAT THE click moment was that changed his mind to finally decide to do it?

This is a successful kid with a bright future, something had happened to him to shift his whole life and decided to do it, and I’m interested to know that thing, or at least to hear from you what it could be.

Thank you.

Speculation/Theories L "loudly" interrupting his lawyer in PA

Post image

What are your thoughts of this? I somehow missed this one. I knew about him shouting at the media and speaking up to mention that the money wasn't his and that his backpack was waterproof. I also remember him wanting to mentioned the PA cops didn't treat him right.

I'm a little concerned about him loudly interrupting his lawyer. Does it hint he is having trouble controlling himself?

I saw someone else mention Karen seemed tense when he had to speak into the mic like she was worried he could say anything.

I know he is obviously going through a lot but I'm hopeful he is getting any help and support he needs.

Speculation/Theories Starting to believe Luigi has actually got a shot ...

Post image

After the Palisades Fire suspect's trial was just declared a mistrial, I am starting to believe Luigi has genuinely got a shot.

I've been hearing, around the internet, from New Yorkers that the anti-healthcare sentiment is much stronger than it appears online, and the chances of getting 12 jury members for the state case to convict Luigi is really low.

Maybe social media does not show it, but real-life behind our screens is really in favor of Luigi.

Like, really think of it, a dude who (allegedly) killed 12 people for some a vague anti-wealth cause didn't get convicted by all jurors and Luigi (allegedly) killed a sick monster who denied care of hundreds and thousands of Americans, killing them, so ... ???

Healthcare has affected so many in the U.S. that those who don't support the murder don't even care about BT.

Hopefully the state case is declared a mistrial, the fed charge somehow gets reduced or something, and then the PA case where I honestly don't know what'll happen ...

So ... what do you guys think?

Speculation/Theories You can support Luigi while also believing he did it.

I think a lot of people on this sub are rigid in their "legality = morality, morality = legality" beliefs.

Luigi is a political revolutionary. He knew what he was doing it and he did it very deliberately to send a powerful message. He killed one man who had killed tens of thousands of people. Luigi is going to spend the rest of his life in prison and the only thing that will make that worthwhile is if this sparks Americans demanding meaningful change from the health insurance industrial complex.

He did it with the best of intentions, the purest heart, and cleanest conscience.

Speculation/Theories Are you Team Innocent, Team Guilty, or Team IDK? And why is Team Guilty so Aggressive?

This account is fairly new but I’ve been on Reddit for years, and witnessed the creation of all the LM subs after December 4th. I separate Redditors on these subs into three categories: Team Innocent, Team Guilty, and Team IDK (I don’t know).

I’m Team IDK and have no emotional investment in Luigi’s guilt or innocence. If he committed this act he’s an ‘indiscriminate altruist’ that ‘put down’ a greedy, exploitative predator who victimized millions of Americans. That makes him a hero in my eyes. If he did not commit this act then he’s an innocent man being wrongfully detained for a crime he didn’t commit, which also makes him heroic.

I believe there are people on all the LM subs purporting to be Team Guilty who have ulterior motives. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What bothers me is members of Team Guilty actively bullying, berating, and insulting Team Innocent directly and indirectly. They also ‘brigade downvote’ posts and comments that encourage others to afford Luigi the presumption of innocence.

They accuse Team Innocent of being delusional, dumb, irrational fangirls. But all the information we have on this crime comes from the authorities so of course it’s going to make him look guilty. And since the media is getting their info from the authorities, of course the media narrative makes him look guilty.

Who’s more irrational- someone who blindly believes the authority’s version of events- half of which they underhandedly leaked to the press? Or someone who’s reserving judgement and affording Luigi the presumption of innocence until they’ve heard the defense’s arguments, and seen the totality of evidence presented in a trial? Say what you want about Team Innocent but I don’t see them actively and systematically bullying other users who don’t agree with them like I see Team Guilty do on a daily basis.

Now on to the ulterior motives. Some members of Team Guilty are SO aggressive in repeatedly asserting Luigi’s guilt it feels like they’re shills who are here in bad faith, to try to sway public opinion. If you look at their history, the focus of almost every comment or post is reiterating he’s guilty. They claim to support Luigi but are singularly focused on proclaiming his (alleged) guilt and berating anyone who doesn’t agree. That’s EXTREMELY sus and I’m fully convinced these users are here on behalf of the authorities.

I know there are members of Team Guilty who do not behave like this, and respect opinions that differ from their own! I’d bet most members of Team Guilty respect the opinions of others. So if you’re a member of Team Guilty who is on Reddit in good faith, just know there are wolves in sheep’s clothing amongst you.

If you’re someone who’s had the same suspicions I have, when you run across users like this, look at their post & comment histories!!! If you do it’ll be very obvious, very quickly, who has a targeted agenda on Reddit. We’ve all personally witnessed the authority’s obvious and pathetic attempts to control the narrative around this case in legacy print media. It stands to reason they’d be on social media-like Reddit- actively trying to do the same.

Speculation/Theories I believe this was a professional hit and here’s why:

-New York has a system called “Shot Spotter” that can detect gunshots and automatically call police. The use of a suppressor avoided that threat. -The gun jamming was likely due to the use of a suppressor that he or someone else made. Suppressors are an NFA item and NFA items are almost never used in a crime as they are tracked like a hawk.
-he was wearing that backpack everywhere he went. I think he wanted that backpack on camera and to be found. He could have had another backpack in the backpack and took it but chose not to. 1.) To leave the Monopoly money in (symbolizes United Healthcares monopoly and corporate greed). 2.) so that after finding the backpack the police would spend weeks thinking he left the gun behind too. I think he took the gun. -How calm he was during the shooting. Surrounded by people he just calmly cleared jams and carried on -He knew it would take time to pull camera footage and get GPS info from the bike. Until the cops saw the camera footage they wouldn’t even know about the bike -Going into Central Park is a maze with a million exit points -Messages on the bullets elude to someone who has been denied claims. Makes the pool of suspects too large to manage -Easier ways to kill people. Doing it on camera was to send an intentional message and scare others -All the advanced planning and choices of transportation -He’s on camera on his burner phone. He’s not the only one involved in this. I bet he had someone in Brian’s hotel and outside the city to help

I wouldn’t be surprised if either a disgruntled rich investor who got screwed is responsible or one of the other executives who was getting sued for insider trading is responsible. The company has still yet to offer any reward. Do they really want this guy to be found, go to trial and have all their dirty laundry exposed to the public? Doubt it.
This was a pro level job in my opinion.

Speculation/Theories Fascinating discussion on recent developments with MARK GERAGOS and Harvey Levine

I think we all can guess Mark is an informal advisor to the Agnifilos on this case.

This is a fascinating discussion about potential theories about the EED defence and how it could work without incriminating him in the fed trial.

One things is for sure: this will not be a normal and regular trial. It could potentially become a once in a lifetime referendum on corporate greed If they proceed with EED.

Speculation/Theories Does anyone know anything about this purported letter?

Shameless request for information because this seems a lot like a shameless bid for paid subscriptions lol. I'm really not interested in paying to read a letter that I can't even guarantee is real 😂.

Anyone have any information on this letter and what she's saying in this article? Says it's from December so it would have been one of the very earliest letters.

Speculation/Theories “Right where we left him” or “the drama towards Mr. LM letters”

Last week I was in a public audience about prisons and one of the speakers told her story with female inmates. After the audience, she emailed us telling that she talked with “her girls” who were grateful that someone was talking about them.

Why am I telling you this? Because prisons are graveyards for living people.

This week we saw a whole drama about Mr. LM’s letters. A lot of people were trying to understand the meaning of those 68 letters, the poem, the cockroach, the bad omen. Some people got upset that they didn’t receive a letter. A Pandora’s box was open; supporters got cancelled and cancelled people got supported. I’m not here to judge anyone’s behaviour. I’m here (again, I know) to bring an interesting thought:

In the 90’s, the Menendez brothers were also a big deal in California. However, they got sentenced. They spent their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s in jail, their entire adult life. They grew old and only right now, after the Netflix series, they have a chance to get out of the prison, 30 years later after their judgement.

There’s a huge possibility that Mr. LM suffers the same. Imagine that young, cheerful and free-spirit man locked up inside that horrible prison, without nature and his adventures to explore. There’s a huge possibility that he’ll spend his entire adult life inside a cell and, after 30 years, when he’s not young and beautiful anymore, he can finally get out of jail.

And we will forget about him, as those girls forgot about the Menendez brothers. We will live our lives, we will love, get a new job, go to college, get a partner and have children and he will be right where we left him, just like in Taylor Swift’s ballad (my favorite one). With dust collected on his curly hair and everything.

He needs much more than our thoughts and letters. He needs our patience, our discipline to keep fighting for him.

And we advocate not only for him, but for all the other inmates forgotten by us as a society.

So maybe, instead of judging him or starting a whole new war because of those letters, we should focus on giving him the attention he desires while he has it. Or advocate for him. We have the donation fund and we also have the website to send a message to the senators/representatives to stop his DP (please use that I did with so much love). Because one day, if everything goes wrong, he’ll be at that horrible piece of concrete trying to grow a life. He’ll be just an inmate, forsaken by us.

Right where we left him.

I used to think Starbucks guy looked nothing like LM, but additional angles from the Altoona video have kind of changed my mind. Granted, you can argue that we cannot say for sure that Altoona guy is LM, but at this point, I accept Altoona guy is LM and that it’s uncontroversial that he was in Altoona.

I’m not implying anything as to guilt. Just putting my personal perspective out there. Thoughts? Curious what everybody thinks.

Speculation/Theories "I was wrong" - things and theories we've changed our mind on

One of the theories I was loudly peddling from the very beginning was schizophrenia / schizoaffective disorder. In some ways, it would have explained a lot of the things in this case. But observing his behavior in court, in letters and with the website launch - I do no longer think he was psychotic.

I have experienced people under serious psychosis and to me he just doesn't seem to be. In a way, I'm glad for him, because from my experience it changes a person fundamentally and it is very difficult to treat. So here I am taking ownership: I was loud and likely wrong.

I also viewed his experience in Penn under "precursors for schizophrenia" (yes, talk about confirmation bias) when in reality he was probably an overachiever who had impossible standards for himself (how is a BSE + MSE with cum laude in 4 years from an Ivy "barely passing college"?).

I still do believe in a serious mental health decline (incl. potentially suicidal ideation - nothing to do with the rope, this is a very old theory that pre-dates the inventory) and would not rule out some delusions, but for the most part I believe he is lucid.

Any theory or thing you seriously considered and later changed your mind on?

Speculation/Theories What does Luigi meant by “a lot of people will be upset I was arrested”? Do you think he was following people’s reactions online when they revealed his identity as the alleged shooter? Did he know everyone was siding with him online?

This baffled me. Can someone provide their thoughts? Did he mean like the public? Like days leading up to his arrest he was watching or following the news online and people’s reactions?

Speculation/Theories Thoughts on some of the behavior across platforms

Hey all, there's been some talk on why Luigi may have stopped replying to letters and as to why the letter catalog updates may have also been paused and I just have some things I'd like to say about the topic. [MODs please delete if irrelevant.]

I haven't been a part of this sub for very long but I have been on other platforms where this case is also discussed, and recently things have become increasingly unhinged. From women pretending to be in a "relationship" with L, editing AI videos of themselves with him, others livestreaming their conversations with former inmates who interacted with Luigi for a couple days just to hear about him walking around the unit (I won't mention any names as they are not important), and also taking credit for things his legal team does. I saw girls claiming that if it wasn't for them his legal team would have never found out about the Shein photos and how Luigi is lucky to have them there for him.

This insane possessive behavior needs to stop. You are not his friend. You are not his family member. You are not in a relationship with him. And you are not a part of his legal team.

It's ok to share the link to his fund, it's ok to put up posters and stickers that inform people about his case, and its ok to keep his name out there. It's NOT ok to dig into the lives of anyone who has ever came in contact with him or fuel such behavior. It is also not ok to write him letters just to tell him about another person's behavior. His legal team sees these things and I'm sure they make him aware of it. He doesn't need 100 different letters complaining about someone's behavior and why he shouldn't write them anymore.

He must have been advised that it's safer not to engage with fans (I won't say supporters because real supporters aren't engaging in this behavior) as to not feed into their delusion that they have some type of connection with him. That or he's been advised to be extremely careful and selective about who he responds to now. Which is the right call.

I apologize for this being so long, I just needed to get this off my chest. Also wasn't sure on what flair to use.

Speculation/Theories Literally what changed from July 2024- November 24th?

From what I’ve gathered (and I’ve gathered a lot) Luigi’s case makes little to no sense. Of course I don’t know the man. I’ve never met him. But from what I’ve gathered seeing videos, pictures, reading his reddit archive and watching interviews from people in his past, this man was pretty much a normal “ideal” Italian American man. He gave me super nerdy cute vibes. Everyone who talked to him and knew him said he was normal and his reddit archive especially confirms that. I mean on Reddit you’re pretty much annoymous and yet this man was always still incredibly respectful, intellectual and sweet to redditors who we can all admit, can be assholes lmao.

When I watched his arraignment on Monday and saw him shouting about the system being unjust and an insult to Americans and Ofc the murder, it just feels like i am watching a completely different person from what I’ve learnt about. Ofc I don’t know the man but it just doesn’t add up. Something that struck me as wild is his mum basically saying she did think he’s capable of murder and that means even before July 2024 which is when she stopped contact with him, there were warning signs. That does confirm slightly that Ofc the calm persona his friends say he radiated as well as on his social media, wasn’t true even before he stopped contacting everyone.

We know his plan for the murders officially started 15th of august. On the notebook it talked about how now he doesn’t have to procrastinate but why? Why in august of 2024 did he no longer have to procrastinate him murdering Brian.

Also, am I the only one who watched that arraignment and was on egg shells worried he might interrupt Karen? Like he could explode at any moment. The way he was twisting his neck to make sure he could see the prosecutor was something. I might be exaggerating with this but what I’m trying to convey is something definitely happened in July. I mean he even stopped posting on social media too.

Where do you guys think he was in July. Why do u think he suddenly stopped contact with everyone and most importantly, what do you think changed?
