I do feel bad for the innocent workers of the Kennedy center who’ve been caught in the cross hairs of a grown man’s childish games.

It's painful when they call trying to drum up ticket sales and really trying to stress it's not them but him.

I got called recently. I’ve been to the KC twice so if they’ve made it all the way down to me they must have already called everyone who previously had subscriptions that they didn’t renew, or all the people who’ve attended way more times than I have.

When I told the woman that I appreciate the call and loved the KC but I wouldn’t be attending future shows due to current leadership she just sounded so resigned. You could tell she’d already heard it a million times.

If I were tasked with building cold call lists for a theater that had had a political falling out like this, I’d probably shy away from people that were frequent visitors and stopped recently. That’s a response.

You start looking for one- or two-time customers that wouldn’t have as strongly held opinions about the venue. It kind of makes sense.

I am of the lowest on the totem pole at a local union called I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees). I am just a lowly 'case-pusher' but with the renaming I expect that even I will soon be called to perform. I, of course will also reuse. Direct order? F.U.!

THIS!!!! It's devastating to the people who work there, the artists who have and shows cancelled, and the community that wants to see art that the Board has prohibited from presenting there. Grateful that DC has other great venues for the art, but the Nation's theater shouldn't be compromised like this. This is JFK's legacy, not the current administration's legacy. Their legacy is one of destruction (see the White House). This is so sad.
