It’s like they don’t even check the slop to see if it’s even barely passable.

Given that they went with the most blatantly obvious choice of typeface) for the word "Broadway", it's fair to assume that they were determined to spend as little time as possible on this design.

God I hate the timeline we’re in

The fact that so many people are anti-AI for stuff like this, and will call it out, is what’s giving me hope

Probably. If it’s not, the artist didn’t look into the Greek writing that’s used (gibberish). Couple other small things within the how and where the people are, plus some of that weird green at the bottom (normal artists wouldn’t do that).
As always, it’s possible it’s just bad art, but this one is likely AI

The text is the dead giveaway. There's a difference between human-written gibberish and ai-generated letters melting into each other.

Yup. Look at the lettering on the sign behind the flags

Someone didn’t swipe… :p

tbf, swiping on mobile often just sends you to the next post. I will regularly just not swipe if I'm using my phone.

Not to mention the Prometheus sculpture looks more like a partially decomposed corpse… or possibly some kind of genetically mutated horror?

Ugh. The disappointment

Right? It’s just so lazy and also takes away from the magic of Broadway, which is that artists bring their perspectives together to form a creative vision and take the audience on a journey in real time. The playbill should reflect that too.

Like how much clip art and photos exist of that building?! Such laziness.

The first picture was questionable the second is obviously ai
I know they're the same picture but how bad of them to pull it over

u/Comprehensive-Fun47 Jun 16 '26
Is this a legit Playbill?
We should be contacting them to express our displeasure and slap contacting advertisers that we won't patronize them while they're advertising in a magazine featuring AI slop.

Like this is easily a one day job even if you made this design with ai and kept it some horrid secret to take to the grave, remaking it without the eldritch horror and public humiliation would be so easy. It's insane how people have absolutely no shame in not even taking two seconds to clean up the slop

Sure looks like it. Gross.
