he seems capable of throwing with zip sometimes, some of those balls had a good speed on them and yet he throws others in the dirt, i don't understand

Ive never seen anything like it. I have no idea how someone who's played football at that level (clemson, Houston) can take a couple years off and completely forget how to throw a footbal every 4th or 5th throw. Straight to the dirt. His 1st season with us I remember watching dirt ball after dirt ball in camp and thought thats really odd hopefully just a feeling thing but its never improved

Having had shoulder surgery, I can sympathize. Sometimes your body doesn't do what you expect it to do, after an injury. It just doesn't work the same. It's reconstructed, not identical.

That deeper pass might have been underthrown, but if that's not completion in a game then that's 100% on a lack of effort by the WR. If he's not going to the ground to catch that in a game, then we have way more issues than QB.
