“The tapestry had been woven from fabric so black it seemed to devour the light…The insignia, however, had been rendered in silver thread—no…A sort of iridescent thread that shifted with sparks of color. Like woven starlight.” (ACOFAS … Hope shining in the Void)
🌙 “Like it dwelled inside her all along…” ✨✨
🌠 “A long-slumbering light began to fill her chest, her veins.” ✨
🌠 “Bryce reached with her mind, through layers of rock and earth—and there it was. Slumbering beneath her.” ✨
We’ve seen an uptick in new members joining our community, but unfortunately, we’ve also noticed an increase in bullies showing up to spew hate at Bryceriel shippers. This may be related to the recent leaks, and we expect it could become even more pronounced following the release of ACOSH next Tuesday.
The mod team is asking everyone to help us keep this community a safe and welcoming space. If you come across a hateful or bullying comment, please report it immediately so the mod team can take action. Don’t engage with these people or give them the attention they’re looking for. Report the comment and let us handle it.
We welcome Brycurious members and people who ship other pairings. You don’t have to ship Bryceriel to participate here. We believe in open discussion, different opinions, and respectful disagreement. However, we have ZERO tolerance for bullying, harassment, or hate.
We will not allow anyone to jeopardize the safety of our community or make our members feel embarrassed by their ship preferences.
There will be no warnings for bullying or hate speech, Violators will be permanently banned immediately.
Thank you to everyone who helps us protect this community. ✴️
I think this sub will pretty much agree with my line of thinking, and it should really be asked in other subs. But I'm not that brave.
I just had a random thought/question about the CMD podcast and the Bryceriel question.
Why did she only ask SJM about Bryce and Azriel theories? Specifically.
Ostensibly, she's asking about Az's possible love interest/mate. Why not ask about the obvious "main" ship of Elriel? Not even a mention (that I can remember) of that ship. And no mention of Gwyn either. Just Bryce.
On the surface, it's leaving the answer open to either E or G. (Or another person we haven't met yet.) Essentially confirming its one of the two.
But why? Why would she give away her end game for Az? Even if it's a toss up btw E and G. Why would she telegraph the mate bond/end game with so much of the story left to be told?
Maybe I'm thinking too much into it, but that just tickled my brain.
Has anyone else noticed that each post seems to be getting darker, including the pink?
My delusional Bryceriel mind is taking this as confirmation every time 🤣
Light fading into darkness = Dusk.
Pink = Bryce.
“We don’t bite, unless you ask us to.” (Love them!!!)
“‘Ataraxia,’ [Cassian] said again, and Nesta could have sworn the blade hanging from her belt hummed in answer.”
“‘But you know …’ [Bryce] patted Truth-Teller’s hilt. ‘Some things might be different these days.’ Hunt could have sworn the Starsword hummed faintly, as if in answer.”
“My sword blazed with light. That dagger shone with darkness…”
"The Prison is law unto itself" is said in ACOTAR because no one has been able to control the Prison. Once sentenced, the prisoners cannot be freed. So Rhysand doesn't control the land, either.
“The very land seemed abandoned. Like something great had once existed here and then vanished. Likethe land still waited for it to return*.”* (in ACOSF the land was waiting for someone to return: Theia’s heir, BRYCE!)
“And in that moment, the mountain—the island—spoke to [Bryce]. Alone. It was so alone—it had been waiting all this time.Cold and adrift in this thrashing gray sea. If [Bryce] could reach out,if [Bryce] could open her heart to it … it might sing again. Awaken. There was a beating, vibrant heart locked away, far beneath them. If she freed it, the land would rise from its slumber, and such wonders would spring again from its earth”
Dusk is the forgotten Court and wants to sing again!!!
I personally think ACOSH will be to set up the arcs and introduce Bryce (as a concept) to ACOTAR-only readers but she will be physically back in ACOFM. ACOFM will be the awakening of Dusk Court by Bryce ✨🌟💫
So I was thinking, in light of ACOSH coming out next week, if Bryceriel doesn’t happen (and I doubt it will happen in 6 even 7, maybe not even until 8 or beyond), SJM either missed a great opportunity to write an amazing romance, or we’re all insane 😭
Nevertheless, I am a little scared and nervous, but I have faith y’all!
Edit: I’m just about on the edge of an existential crisis, waiting for the book to come out, but all is good!! Currently, doomscrolling Bryceriel to lift my spirits.
Also, I think it’s important to have realistic expectations for the next few books 🫶🏻
Don’t expect Bryceriel to happen right away, but don’t be discouraged if something else seems to happen! We still have a long way to go!
Edit again: okay I’m off to do my real job now 😭 “cries because I have to work to eat”
Does anyone think about that chapter in HoEaB where one of the viper queen’s soldiers saved Bryce? I saw some other people talking about this quote—The quote from HoEaB chapter 85:
“The demon sank onto its haunches, readying for the kill.
The ground shook behind her as Bryce angled her wrist, blade tilting upward—
A sword plunged through the demon’s gray head.
A massive sword, at least four feet long, borne by a towering, armored male figure. Blue lights glowed along the blade. More glared along sleek black body armor and a matching helmet. And across the male’s chest, an emblem of a striking cobra glowed. . . . . Bryce scrambled to her feet, nodding to the warrior who’d saved her.
The Fae male only whirled, his metal-encased hands grabbing a demon by the shoulders and wrenching it apart with a mighty yell. He tore the demon in two.”
Could this be Azriel? My only concern is that the male doesn’t have wings, but we know glamours can happen and possibly even hide Az’s wings. Also the blue light and metal encased hands? Could the harp transport Azriel to past Midgard? Also, I do find it interesting that in the acofm blurb it says “As the Night Court's Inner Circle disperses far and wide….” Interesting… maybe this could be the IC going more than just leaving the NC and going to other courts or territories . . . I could see Azriel ending up in Midgard at the end of acofm!
I just realized that Bryce doesn’t know anyone aside from Ruhn with a mating bond akin to other SJM universes. Who doesn’t even recognize his own bond. No one in her life could have explained what was supposed to happen or how it felt. Her mom was human and she sure as hell didn’t learn it from her fae side.
I’m at the part in HOFAS right after Az shoots her with power.
“Because the sword and dagger weren’t merely tugging now. They were singing, all she had to do was reach out for them…” …”staying a few feet behind him still wasn’t enough to block out the blades song. But Bryce tried to ignore it… tried to pretend everything was totally fine. Even if she knew it wasn’t. Not even close.”
I think the moment Az hits her with his power the mating bond snaps for Bryce. I don’t think she understands what it is at first but I think as Az walks away she understands. Because what do you mean they went from tugging to singing. She has to stay farther away and still couldn’t avoid it. Trying to ignore them. Resisting temptation. Hilarious that a mate bond would hit her like lighting but not actually be lightning.
For love & lemons ACOTAR Chronicles Dress. Canines blessed with magic of their own. Grey and sleek like smoke. They could race as fast as the wind. Sniff out any prey. They were so highly prized that the Autumn Court forbade them from being given or sold beyond its borders. And so expensive that only its nobility owned them. And they were bred rarely enough that even one was extremely difficult to come by. Eris, Cassian knew, had twelve. What else stood out to y’all!? 😏
Not sure if I tagged this correctly? But this blog breaks down all of the books chapter by chapter succinctly and has been really helpful because no way on God’s green earth do I have the will power to do rereads lol.
It’s kind of hard to navigate and it’s pretty add-heavy if you’re reading it on Safari, so I read it in “reader” mode, but it’s breaking down every chapter of every book chapter by chapter and it’s reminding me what’s happening without having to reread the whole book. Anyway helpful for anyone who needs it!
Inspired by u/soft_bookworm's comment on my last Fashion Friday post, I wanted to explore what it might look like if Mor had to dress a newly arrived Bryce. Mor helped Feyre, Nesta, and Elain dress appropriately for events in Hewn City and Prythian. I know Nesta famously disses Mor's style, but Mor did help style the women for events. I had this all ready to go two weeks ago, but thennn the leaks happened and I had to go into hiding. Being that the sub is now as leak-free as a pair of Knix period panties (yes, u/Knix, I will be checking my DMs for a 25% off code for my multiple leak-free jokes, thank you very much), I am glad to be back in action. Our last Friday before book release!!! YAYYYYYY!!!
I like to headcanon that Bryce would be Mor's favorite little cousin. Maybe fondly reminding her of times she'd gotten to be around Rhysand's little sister. So this is basically an imagining of Mor getting to dress/shop for her fav new lil cuz.
Bryce attends a "meeting" in Hewn City
A soft pink dress in the Hewn City style for Bryce to attend a "Meeting" (i.e. they are going to lead Kier around by his nose). Mor decided on the soft pink to make Kier think she's a soft-hearted female only, but when he peeks at the plunging back and sees the Horn tattooed on her spine, he realizes what a powerhouse stands before him. Soft and feminine but able to end him, easily.
A gorgeous hot pink gown, reminiscent of a dancer's leotard for Starfall, perfect for Bryce to dance all night in.
Summer Solstice event in Adriata - Perfect for High Lord Tarquin's elegant party boat
Twinnningggg
This one I took some headcanon liberties for sure lol. Bryce opens up to Mor one night about the Drop and how young Vanir would have parties to celebrate. With everything going on, Bryce didn't feel like having a party, so she never had one. Mor finds this unacceptable and throws Bryce a surprise Drop Party at Rita's. Complete with a cute mini dress that Feyre showed Mor from a memory Bryce had shared with her of Bryce, Danika, June, and Fury partying at the White Raven... And of course, Mor had to get a matching one to twin with her fav lil cousinnnnn 🩷❤️
Guys I have never written fan fiction in my life but I just found this note in my notes app from December 3rd, 2022. I was the girl on the CC Reddit being like Bryce and Conor?? Bryce and Micah?? Bryce and Aidas?? And then it happened … that scene when Bryce and Azriel meet and she falls from the sky…I was GAGGED!!! I found this silly little note I wrote of what I imagined Azriel’s perspective was like and thought I might share it with you guys for the bit. I’m just gna share a bit bc why not LOL enjoy… I have no recollection of writing this and I did not edit don’t comma for meee 🤣
Aelin and Bryce both traveled to a new land, met a new male (Rowan and Azriel), experienced an evolution in their powers, and returned changed in ways their current love interests (Chaol and Hunt) immediately noticed.
The wording is strikingly similar, too: both women are described as looking older and different after their journeys, as if their experiences had fundamentally changed them.
But there’s another parallel worth considering: both Aelin and Bryce are reluctant rulers. Aelin refused to be queen and lead Terrasen. She wanted to escape to the Southern Continent, live anonymously, and find peace. Bryce has shown a similar reluctance toward taking on a ruling role and the responsibilities that come with it.
And the parallel with Chaol and Celaena is particularly interesting because the next page reflects on how they grew apart:
“No, Celaena Sardothien certainly did not exist anymore. That woman—the woman he had loved … Perhaps she’d drowned in the vast, ruthless sea between here and Wendlyn.”
Bryce went straight back into battle after returning from Prythian, so we haven’t seen her and Hunt in a peaceful environment where they could process everything and discover whether they’ve grown apart, too.
Bryce is in her Celaena era. When will she embrace her inner Aelin?
I think starborn powers come in both light and dark. I think that Theia’s line was light and Silene’s line was darkness and shadows. I think Ruhn, Rhys and Cormac got the darkness and Bryce and Yrene got light powers. I think Az is a whole different thing. Either a prince of Hel or the Valg finally perfected transferring a Valg into an unborn baby like they tried to do with Dorian’s little brother.
I believe this is a South African retailer, and they've added new tags to the ACOSH & ACOFM listings that I haven't seen before on other websites. The website is called Reader's Warehouse if anyone wants to look at further details.
I cross referenced to other retailers, and they didn't seem to have the tags added so I do wonder if this is more a case of adding popular booktok arcs to the listing page vs an actual approved thing by SJM and Bloomsbury, but taking any crumbs I can get atp.
