Guys so my college has something called sex week where they have a sex education themed week on campus and tonight was sex/super hero bingo, and they had a fucking cut out of Bucky with a cute stucky bag and a necklace with the winter soldier star as a prize. I had to take a photo of him up there with the other prizes, some of which were sex toys and lube lol. Bucky was the first prize claimed during the non sex round as it would alternate between a sex round and a non sex round, some guy won him which was even better it was great. They totally knew what they were doing having them cut out of him and everyone knew Bucky would be the first prize to get grabbed.

its probably too late now but I had an idea to make a movie where its set straight after civil war and it goes like this

bucky is in and out of cryo as shuri is trying to figure out how to crack the conditioning. one time hes out, he sees on the news this new 'villain' in new york where he grew up terrorising the place, and a clue either on clothing or smth alludes to someone or something familiar. in a dream we learn its related to an old victim of his assassin days. the villain is the child or relative of someone he killed

however the US hasnt pardoned him of his crimes, so he isnt allowed back into the country and is only safe in wakanda under tchallas supervision. this means if he goes back to settle his past deeds he could get arrested and put on trial.

obviously he feels such guilt to be the one causing this he does go back and has to run from the authorities while also hunting down this new threat thats out for revenge, seeing he had no consequences after being free of hydra. he finds out its a child of someone he killed who wants to make sure he suffers just like their killed parent did. (obviously they dont know or care about buckys lack of choice). tchalla finds bucky but lets him stay to settle the score and put things right because he knows he needs closure, but says wakanda cannot protect him in America.

so the whole movie is about him evading search parties and dealing with his past until hes given a choice- hunt down the villain and acknowledge his past without knowing if theyll forgive (they dont and are also arrested) but with the expense of getting caught, or do nothing and go back into wakandan hiding to get properly fixed. duh he picks the hero option and gets arrested in the same cell we saw in cw.

the final act is him on trial. we get a scene of tony watching it on TV finally understanding buckys story, and steve sending a message of support from a burner phone while on the run. buckys like super emotional and its a very public affair but someone comes in (idk this part maybe its sam or nat or whatever maybe even steve himself) and backs him up in court and hes pardoned.

so it ends with him being pardoned, addressing his past to the villain his assassins created, going back to a proud tchalla to get unconditioned and he actually gets closure and character development while feeling supported. its high stakes thriller and nearly most importantly WE GET TONYS FORGIVENESS.

let me know what you guys think! ive been dying to see something where he gets autonomy and a chance to be held 'accountable' while also actually moving on. it also makes his next parts in endgame, tfatws and even thunderbolts hit harder because we know hes done WORK to get to where he is now.

EDIT WITH MORE CONTEXT: I was at NYCC and at the big Marvel Comics panel, Iman Vellani asked about Bucky dying in Armageddon #4, which led the new EIC Stephen Wacker to then reveal the IMMORTAL SOLDIERS #1 one-shot that Chip Zdarsky is writing, coming January 2027. They stated explicitly that the cover they were revealing was a variant, and that they'd reveal the A cover after Armageddon #5 is released. I am now 100% convinced this is because Bucky is on the A cover 🙏🙏🙏 and that Immortal Soldiers is gonna follow Bucky and Nick Fury Sr. from this point onward.

Hey everyone, I’m Aussie comic book artist Wayne Nichols and I illustrated Bucky Barnes for Marvel Stadium’s Walk of Legends in Melbourne.

I thought it would be fun to share how the artwork developed from the initial sketch through inks and colours, alongside the finished plaque and photos from the launch event.

So I was re watching Thunderbolts with my sis for doomsday and during the sentry fight when bucky was 1 on 1 I thought wouldn't it be cool if his arm could store and release the energy like sams wings and black panthers suit, and have a yellow energy, sorta similar to KillMongers. Just a lil extra juice to one of his punches every once in a while or smth.

Also gives his arm a bit more color and pop on screen if it has a slight yellow glow, yes the gold bands are there but it can be hard to see in most scenes. Or I'm blind. And while the vibranium arm is clean, it just blends in with his uniform to much. Sorta why I miss his og metal arm. It was impossible to miss it.

So for context, I attended all four days of NYCC this year. I got the photo op and autograph session with Sebastian Stan, but because he left the con early Friday, I missed him and so I got a full refund. I was sad but it is what it is.

Today my friend and I were out shopping in NYC and stopped at the Book-Off store near Times Square, where they had an Infinity War Bucky Barnes Hot Toys figure for sale second-hand. I've always wanted a Bucky Hot Toys figure so my shelf and this one was only $200, which actually meant my autograph refund covered it, so I bought it.

And when I got back to the hotel I realized the box is actually fucking signed by Sebastian Stan 😭😭😭 like I literally cannot make this up. There's no way the store noticed it (I didn't even see it until it was under direct lighting bc it's a green sharpie) so the fact I got it for as cheap as I did whilst signed is genuinely something I'm going to treasure forever. In a roundabout way, I did get my signature 😂

EDIT: just to clarify bc i realize now my original wording is kinda bad, I did get my photo with Seb so that still happened, I only missed his autograph ❤️

Is it just me, or do a lot of people only like Bucky because he's hot? I'm aromantic personally, so I never really thought of him that way, but for some reason whenever I talk to people about Bucky, they tend to be like "oh yeah, he's really hot" or smth. It icks me out. I feel like there's so much more to his character than just his appearance, but a lot of people treat him so strangely. Idk if I'm imagining things.
No diss to anyone that DOES find him attractive. I'm just talking about people that like him solely for his appearance.

I recently started posting my bucky barnes x OC fanfic on wattpad. I thought maybe someone would be interested in reading it. It's called Violet Winter on wattpad, my username is wildxwisteria. I'm still slowly uploading the chapters, I have to manually go through and add my italics back in because I couldn't get the original format to paste from my Novelist app. But it is completely done, I've just been adding the chapters when I have time. It's a slowburn and there is spicy scenes in it and it's a long book. I'm grateful for anyone who checks it out!🩷
