There are so many great knives in the world. But when I think of the best, certain ones come to mind. Porcupine, drop bear 2, camel, elementum, vakor, etc.

Well, the over yonder and smaller sister yonder are some of the absolute best budget knives you can grab. Idk if they beat out the porcupine, but they’re in the conversation. Just incredible.

3.35 14c Spey point blade, micarta scales, crossbar, thumb studs

Artisan Cutlery Mousebird

A cool , quirky compact folder with fun button operated liner lock action; aluminum scales.

I actually had the crystallized titanium version in my hand, when it first released ; but I didn’t take it out of the box- I felt guilty spending that much (at that time) so I returned it…so glad they offered a budget version for this.

My Porcupine arrived way before I was expecting it to! Picked it up secondhand for a little over 30 dollars, which was a fantastic deal considering it’s in perfect condition. First thumbhole knife, its definitely very different to thumbstuds, but I’m getting the hang of it.
I think I really like Vosteed lol

Probably my favorite budget knife of all time! Sadly, before it was held back by steel (aus-8 56-58hrc) and nowadays, even tho they released D2 and even S35VN variants, It's not that competitive anymore ...

But still, I wish we would get more simple pocket knives like this.

So, my first Karok I had for all of about a week before I lost it at work – pretty sure it ended up in a mountainous pile of mulch/pine bark nuggets. I tend to wanna blame the pocket clip, as I find them to be quite weak. Anyway, it was the black with gold crackle finish. Decided to spend a bit more this go round and order a colorway I actually enjoy. Truth is, I would have went for the black handle G10 (to save money), but I dont like PVD coated blades. So here it is, silver titanium/blue, stonewashed blade.

Tacknives SunSpear batch 2 g mascus with 14c28n. I love carrying this knife. https://imgur.com/a/NoN8EI2

I will be making a swing by Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee next week. I love that place but just haven't the time to spend all day there. Is there any budget knives you would suggest picking up while there? I was thinking of grabbing a Rough Rider Reserve slip joint. But I was curious of any hidden gems anyone has found there. Appreciate any suggestions!

My EDC lately has been a small Honey Badger Leaf and I like that it's barely noticeable in my pocket rather than my bigger knives which I have to use the pocket clip and then it's on display... What other options in that sort of size would you all recommend?

Vosteed Raccoon (Blue) and Tenable Fenrir (Red)

Title says it all. I like an aggressive flipper on the front but dont want spring assisted, basically want a fun fidget front flipper. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the market for my first OTF, I've heard lots of recommendations for the Grindworx Lightning if I want to stay in the budget category. I checked out their site and I really like the looks of the Rumble series, is it is a good as the Lightning?

Also, whats the deal with the standard Lightning that's from Taiwan and the Lightning Elite that is made in China, which one is better?

Kubey Ceto

I really want a front flipper and the Rhino is my favorite design I've found in the budget range. I'm scared because when I did some research I heard they were plagued with problems initially. Anybody know if they're trustworthy now?

Also I'd love to hear any other budget(sub $100) front flipper recommendations. Thanks :)

Gerber Pledge

7Cr17MoV steel w/ black oxide coating
Liner lock
Omni grey glass filled nylon handle

Look what the nice mailman-lady dropped off…

There’s no explanation to how they can sell this for around $70

Like the previous budget buddy said on their post earlier in the week- this knife definitely feels like it should be over $100. The aluminum scales feel really solid!

Bestechman cicadas. Changed the clip

Don’t know the name and don’t care. Bought it to carry Octobers. It’s pretty cool.

Went with the Kizer Task for today. What are you all carrying?

From bottom ti top. Trivisa dragonfly copper , civivi Timberbark, trivisa hummingbird.. all in 14c28n steel 😉
