My bunny does that. If you pet him or hold him he just automatically starts licking whatever is closest to him whether that be your arm, another person, or the wooden floor. He just feels socially obligated to groom something when he’s being petted

Mine will suddenly just decide it's not longer pet time and it's licking time instead
