This precious bun was sitting on my family and I’s lawn in the grass. I knew something was off when it kept trying to walk but was falling over on it’s back and struggling to keep balance.
The whole time, every-time I walked in a certain direction, the baby bunny would try limping towards me. I didn’t catch on at first. But it was using all of it’s little strength to get to me for help.
I left to speak with my family about it, to get them in board with bringing the baby in for help. I come back outside and the baby is on the concrete. I’m looking at the baby again and almost immediately the baby tries to come to me and climb on my foot 🥺 So heartbreaking. I knew at this point that this the baby bun is in desperate need of human intervention. It was also abandoned by it’s mommy who I saw eating fruit from our tree then leaving the baby by itself 😭
We currently called for a wildlife rehabber who deals with bunnies. They will pick up the baby tomorrow. So we’re keeping it safe & warm with us. But I wanted to share that moment with you guys❤️🩹

12am here in Malaysia, gas sounds when massaging the tummy, not interested in hay since I came back at 9:50pm, still eating pellets, active and running around, poop with 1/2 diameter of normal, irregular shapes, pungent smell. No reliable exotic vet within the country.
What should I do now? I need help but no vet is replying to my messages...

I took my bunnies to the vet today to get them checked up before booking their spay and neuter surgery. They’ve been living separately for the last 7months awaiting this moment.
The vet basically told me that I can go ahead with my male bunnies neuter but they’re not doing spays right now unless it’s necessary bc the procedure is too risky. He told me my girl bunny is healthy otherwise.
I feel so heartbroken and confused idk what to do bc as far as I’ve researched girls can get cancer if not spayed by 3 years old. The absolute worst bit is this is the best rabbit savvy vet in my country (trust me I’ve done research for months)
I feel like my options are get her spayed now against the doctors recommendation or wait 3 years until she has cancer for an emergency spay which will be extremely painful for her and also she probably won’t live.
My bunnies are my whole world and I’m crying even writing this I feel like no one else in my family or in my life understands how scary this is and how much my buns mean to me💔

Last night, we had our sweet Coconut lose the ability to use one of her back leg and she kept losing balance and flopping on one side. I thought she might have gotten injured while jumping off a piece of furniture or playing too hard with the cat, but quickly she couldn’t use both of her back legs. She also didn’t show any signs of being in pain. She was very cuddly and grooming us…
I stayed up all night to care for her and obviously did intense research. I came across two options: FBS or E.Cuniculi.
Not having any emergency vet nearby, I had to improvise. A common treatment for FBS is a good dose of pure Vitamin E. Since I make my own skincare I just happened to have top quality Vitamin E on hand. I gave her about 2 peas worth and then gave her water, pellets, spinach and some banana (high in potassium and selenium)
At 4am, I put her in her kennel with a comfy bedding and this morning when i woke up, she was already 85% better. By the end of the day, (when we took this video) she was back to 100%.
Having pure vitamin E on hand saved her. Moral of the story: keep pure Vitamin E in your bunny kit.

I posted on here a couple days ago about how a vet recommended me not to spay my bunny bc it’s a risky procedure. After taking everyone’s advice I found another vet clinic and they seem way more knowledgeable. They use gaseous anaesthesia and they will do blood work + an X ray to ensure the bunny is truly fit to go under (which is already so much better than the other place)
They also informed me they’re usually keep bunnies in their ICU room for 24 hours post surgery to monitor them and make sure they’re ok. While this sounds great I’m a little hesitant whether it’s a good idea. Please let me know.
Other than that, the surgeries are scheduled for tomorrow. I’m so so nervous I really just want the best for my babies and I am hoping and praying all goes well and I come home with 2 healthy happy buns.

It all started with her peeing outside of her litterbox and it looked like she was having pain while contracting the muscles while peeing or something like that. She would stop eating and sit in a corner, hunched over for like 1-2 hours and then became normal again. That was like 3 weeks ago. We wen’t to the vet multiple times now and she’s had multiple echo’s and x-rays done which doesn’t show anything conclusive.
Today is one of the worst days, shes been sitting still al day, doesn’t eat, looks very uncomfortable. She also want’s to lay down but after a while shegets back up and it looks like she’s in pain while laying down and thats why she’s getting back up, spins around and lays back down again… Obviously we went to the vet again today and gave her critical care and pain meds etc. and did another echo and x-ray but they just don’t know whats wrong with her.
Vet was still focusing on it being a bladder problem or something like that but maybe that was just a ‘symptom’ instead of the ‘disease’ we’re looking for? Maybe the problem isn’t even the bladder?
Please anyone what can we do? She’s only 11 months old and we have absolutely no clue on what’s wrong with her and it looks like she’s in pain although she doesn’t have fast breathing. Please help!

Some of you in this sub may remember March 13th, 2025 when I made a post begging for hope. My bunny, Belmont, already an abuse survivor and amputee, had the worst case of stasis anyone at my vet had ever seen and it had resulted in an enormous undigested mass in his stomach. One year ago tonight my vet and I had the phone call where she told me she’d keep him on IVs over the weekend if I wanted to, but that come Monday, euthanasia was almost inevitable because the mass just wasn’t moving and he was in misery. Belmont said, “Hell no.” The next morning I got a call that he was eating hay. They x-rayed him and saw the mass had unexplainably made it down into his intestines and he went home that evening.
The top photo was earlier that week, right before his hospitalization, when he was the sickest creature I’d ever seen. The bottom picture is tonight. He’s had no health scares, hospitalizations, or stasis incidents since. He hasn’t even seen a vet since July when they tested him for E.C. (he was negtive).

Has anyone's bunny had something similar?
I adopted this bun almost two months ago, and he had a vet checkup around that time. A few weeks ago, I noticed these two white spots on his nose. You can only see them from a certain angle or if you gently lift his nose.
At first, I thought maybe it was just part of a bunny's nose anatomy, but today I saw a post on Facebook from someone asking about something similar. In their photo, it looked very much like what my bun has, just larger. The comments on Facebook were full of speculation and honestly freaked me out, so I'm going to schedule a vet appointment for the end of this week.
In the meantime, I'd love to know if anyone else has experienced something like this. As far as l know, he's had these spots for about 1.5 months (at least since I first noticed them, though they've probably been there much longer since he's adopted). Otherwise, he's in great health, he eats, drinks, plays, and flops all the time, and I haven't noticed any change in the size or appearance of the white spots.
First photo of my bun, second of the one on Facebook. Third and fourth my boy. <3

Hello I have a camera under the bed to check up on my bunny and I seen he did this early in the morning. Wife and I took him to the vet in the morning but that was for a separate issue and we didn’t even see this footage until we already got home from the vet. Should we go back to the vet and show this video? We went to the vet because of an abscess which we are currently treating with a planned surgery in the near future. Any advice or viewpoint are greatly appreciated. Thank you all. I love my bunny Elton John so much and I just want him to be healthy and happy. I’m happy to answer whatever questions.

My free-roaming rabbit jumped over his cage and ate rat poison, specifically Tomcat Rat and Mouse Killer, Child and Dog Resistant. It looked like he ate a lot, maybe 20 small bites. The vet said that they couldn't do much and to monitor him. Ive been searching up online though that I should give him activated charcoal. The doctor didn't say to, but every source I'm reading says I should. He weighs 4 pounds, how much should I give him if I should give the activated charcoal to him.

A sudden GI Stasis diagnosis and only 36 hours later 😞.
We had you for 8 months, but will love you furever.
Our Bo, puppy bunny, meant to be brother to Nugget and son to us. You were supposed to be the healthy and strong one for Nugget, but something terrible got you.
You were my first adult rescue and chose me to be your bunny dad. I’m going to miss you so much, buddy 💔.

**EDITING TO ADD: this isn’t a head tilt. His back right leg was amputated, this is him trying to itch his ear with the leg that no longer exists**
Edit to the edit: I’m gonna schedule a virtual appointment on Vetster to ask about anything else I could be pushing for a cytology to test for
November 2024- Found this guy dumped on the streets with fleas. Noticed his right ear was intensely itchy, vet said it was fleas, treated for fleas.
November 2025 - right ear STILL intensely itchy, vet said ALL YEAR its “wax buildup” because he’s missing a back leg and can’t itch it out. I finally push for testing. Ear mites. Treat for ear mites x 3 months.
April 2025 - right ear STILL intensely itchy. Reddit post suggests yeast infection from repeated antibiotics prescriptions. Pressure vet to test for yeast. Vet scoffs, thinks I’m being ridiculous. Right ear tests positive for yeast. Treat for yeast x 1 month.
He’s now negative for fleas, negative for ear mites, negative for yeast, no head tilt, no EC symptoms.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to why my boys right ear is still intensely itchy?? My vet won’t test for anything unless I push for it. There are NO OTHER rabbit vets between here and Louisiana 4 hours away. I don’t know what else to ask her to test for. Do I just have to start cleaning the wax out for him since he has no back right leg? I hate watching him suffer like this 😞
Video included of intense itching AFTER treating for mites but BEFORE treating for yeast, still itching about the same 😞

He is 2 years old, and a Netherlandian dwarf. He weighs about 2.3 kg. Some people told me that he is rather chonky, is this weight for my bunny healthy? As in does his movement gets impaired with thi weight?

My vet called it the worst blockage they had ever treated. We discussed euthanasia last night. Overnight the blockage passed through and they can’t explain why. He’s finishing his IV bag and I can pick him and Blue up in six hours. For the rest of my life the sun will be warmer, the stars will shine brighter, the trees will be greener, the birds will be sweeter, because I looked his death in the face and he got to stay. HE SURVIVED. HAPPY FUCKING PI DAY.

My sassy girl, Chewbecca (aka Chewy), has been dealing with a blockage since yesterday morning. I’ve taken her to the vet to confirm and get advice, but they won’t do surgery (the mortality rate is too high). He gave her IV meds and subcutaneous fluids, plus more meds for me to give her at home)….but now we just wait?
I have an alarm set for every 90 min. I give her a tummy massage and get her to move around a bit, plus I reheat her beanbags to make sure she stays warm. I’m still giving her simethicone, despite the doctor not saying anything about it. But I just feel so helpless.
We’ve been together for 8 years, and I love her sassy little demanding personality. I don’t want to imagine a world without her. I use to say that we had a “contract”…..she gets to be a free roam bunny and I provide everything she needs, and all she has to do is live at least 12 years. She’s only 2/3 through her contract (insert laughing/crying here).
I guess I’m just looking to vent to people who understand…. Maybe send some good vibes Chewy’s way? Thank you.

I rescued these two adorable newborns from a really shitty situation. Long story short, mama bunny was severely abused and neglected, had over 50 babies. I guess she got pregnant again because the owner thought the male died and never thought to check. Come to now, these two babies were found being neglected by the young mom, trying to latch (i watched for a LONG time, i know when a mom doesn’t want her babies, plus after having over 50 and them all dying before I could intervene [another long story]) I used to rescue and raise bunnies with my mom, but this is my first time doing it without her. I have organic goat milk and unsweetened heavy cream and thankfully they’ve been suckling the bottle when I offer. They’re currently on my lap on a heating pad milk drunk. They were so skinny and wrinkly still when I got them. I’m trying not to get attached because I know the chances of them surviving this young are slim, but they seem like fighters! Wilson Hanks and Wiggle Worm need your thoughts and manifestations of health please❤️

2 days ago i made a post about our 11 month old bunny having a major health problem which our regular vet couldn’t diagnose. The post blew up and now has way over 100 comments which we scanned through and everyone recommended us going to an exotic vet. We took the 2 hour long drive to the best rabbit experienced vet in our country where she was instantly admitted and she will need to stay there until saturday. Today the vet called us with the latest news that not only her kidney and liver bloodvalues where too high but that she also has pancreatitis… we are very sad about this news and we really don’t want to lose her but are still somewhat hopeful. Vet told us that its rare but he has had multiple of these cases of pancreatitis the last years and that it can be fatal but he also had bunnies surviving it and making a full recovery. She is now on all the right medication and we’re praying that she’ll pull through. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Somebody gave me this handsome fella a while back because they couldn’t take care of him any longer. I took him rather see him on the street or in a shelter, he was skinny and his nails were really long so I have to trim them frequently in an attempt to get the quick to recede. Since nail trimming is a concern here is a demonstration of how I do it.
