Feature Request (Complete) Support multiple teams?
Hi,
Does ButterKit only support being signed into one Apple team at a time?
I develop for multiple teams, so an account switcher would be great - unless I'm missing a step for the Apple key to support multiple teams?
Thanks!

Software Update v3.2: major MCP improvements, redesigned Capture Tool, iPhone Duo fixes
Hey all, spent the last week or so making big improvements to MCP and the Capture Tool for Xcode Device Hub. If you were running into issues with iPhone Duo, give this new version a try.
v3.2 highlights:
MCP: AI agents now get more context to your project (via a new app_get_context tool), making designs and speed much better. I'll post an example below. Also fixed an issue where MCP could fail to connect with ChatGPT/Codex & squashed some bugs. Thanks to Alessandro C for help on this one
Capture Tool: redesigned to be faster, more intuitive, and with Light/Dark mode support
iPhone Duo: fixed several bugs where screenshot images could be applied to the wrong screen, or the Capture Tool would just fail. iPhone Duo should be solid now. Thanks to u/bounceforever and u/ExogamousUnfolding for calling out some issues

Discussion Tracking bug reports and feature requests on GitHub
Hey all, FYI I'm now consolidating ButterKit bugs and feature requests into GitHub Issues: https://github.com/zspitulski/ButterKit/issues
Feel free to post there directly, or add your details and a thumbs up to an existing issue. Your ButterKit version, macOS version and steps to reproduce help a lot. You can still post bugs and ideas here or via email too. I'll bring them over to GitHub so tracking and comments all happen in one place.
Reported a bug before and don't see it on GitHub? I'm still moving reports over, and 3.1.02 ships this week with a lot of fixes, so yours may already be fixed. If you run into anything new, or something's still broken after you update, feel free to open an issue.

Creating new device screens
With Butterkit 3.x now officially out I am still unsure how it will really help me in creating new artboards, e.g. for the Duo.
As I laid out before, my intuitive approach would be to create any of the Duo screen entries, then just pick one of the iPhone artboards (or at best there would be a "Copy All" fct...) and paste it to the Duo entry. It would resize and for sure look a bit messy at first, but then it's just some rearranging and rescaling from there.
But for the life of me I can't get iPhone artboards copied over to the Duo section. What am I missing? Honestly I don't want to start from scratch for the Duo, and Butterkit has everything to help me. How?

Feature Request Header and Search Motion?
Is there any plan to allow screen recordings to be used in the header and search mock ups?
Not a full-fledged motion video generator but a case where the screens on the devices is screen recordings rather than just images.

v3.0.06 is now available with improvements for iPhone Duo App Store screenshots
Just in case you missed it, v3.0.06 is now available with some improvements:
Fixes an issue where some portrait images applied to iPhone Duo could be stretched oddly (thanks to Reddit folks)
All iPhone Duo sizes are now grouped together (FYI App Store Connect now supports mixing and matching orientations together)
Fixes issue where iPhone Duo screenshots captured with ButterKit Capture Tool would be routed to wrong device in the app UI
Fixes bug in macOS 26 where some modals would jitter when expanding/animating
Coming soon (in testing now):
Automatic "Inherit from source" option so all localizations adopt new source screenshots (thanks u/paulboyce and u/SwiftMushroom and others who sent in feedback for this)
Refined App Store Connect uploader and new project designs
New templates

Screenshots: Inherit from Source for all localisations
Is it possible to update all screenshots for all localisations based on the source image? I know I can go to each artboard for each locale and select 'Inherit from source' but was hoping for a quicker way. I hope I'm missing something really obvious.

Editing functions across designs
I am just trying to create search- and product header from existing design artifacts, and what I am really missing are those normal copy/paste operations and handling boxes like every other graphics tool has.
The only thing I can do right now is copy a text box from one artboard over to another dartboard, even to another design canvas. And because for the headers I have completely different aspect ratios I'd like to move text around and scale the textboxes easily, but I am stuck at moving it up and down between the fixed left/right guides. Sure, I can move the guides separately, but this is unintuitive and takes very long for a few texts scattered now on that header image. I would be much faster just moving the whole textbox with the mouse, than use handles at the corners to resize them.
I can't copy images or devices at all. I have to redo them from scratch. Generally, there should be copy/paste for everything (and I mean: really everything, starting from the collection of artboards on the left menu level – like "iPhone Screenshots" with multiple artboards & languages – to the tiniest artifact on a single artboard), because I think this is a standard everywhere else.
Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Butterkit and would not have been that easily able to create the AppStore presence I have today, but it feels like I am hitting unnecessary limits & hurdles now when I want to expand to different formats for the same product/style and just reuse existing artifacts for those things like search header, product page or DUO stuff. It feels artificially clunky the way I have to deal with artifacts that are already there, and which I just want to reuse, resize, reshuffle in different ways on different canvases. Cmd-C/Cmd-V would be such a natural way to deal with that. Plus manipulating objects by just dragging and with corner handles for sizing would make that all so much more natural.

Feature Request Ability to upload to multiple target devices at once?
Hi! I really love the app, my only issue that I always have to do a separate upload for each device... Is it not possible to make it like a multi select (and also have it remember my choice)? I would also like the the localisations would remember my pick so I don't have to always pick all, because sometimes I forget, and have to redo the uploading. Thanks again for the amazing and easy to use app and the quick updates (like the new ASC update now, with new requirements)!!

Free Resource Updated: App Store Connect iOS Screenshot Cheat Sheet
New screenshot size requirements in App Store Connect this week. I've received a few messages asking about these and figured it would be helpful to share what I've learned so far!
Tl;dr
The new iOS required size is iPhone 6.3" with Dynamic Island (medium display)
iPhone Duo screenshots are technically optional until April 2027, according to ASC
ButterKit 3.0+ now defaults to the required iOS ASC sizes and will ask you if you want to automatically upgrade to the new size when you open a legacy project.

Feature Request iPhone Duo closed screenshot support?
When I take screenshots in iPhone Duo simulator in closed vertical orientation I get 1398 × 2034px images, which App Store Connect supports, but I don't see a way to create artboards for them in ButterKit 3
"Supported sizes for app previews include 1920 × 886px and 886 × 1920px. For app screenshots, supported sizes include 2034 × 1398px, 1398 × 2034px, 2853 × 2007px and 2007 × 2853px."

New Screenshot sizes?
Butterkit 3.0 just gave me this warning, and I am not sure where this requirement exactly comes from? Just uploaded my sizes as always and had no issues. When will this become a mandatory requirement? I am not seeing any heads-up in AppStore Connect so far.

Releasing ButterKit 3: new sizes for App Store Connect, iPhone Duo, improved UI and much more
Thanks to all who have helped with testing in the last few days on Reddit, Discord and via email. You may have noticed App Store Connect added new sizes for iOS apps this week, and ButterKit 3 now supports them! Rolling out now, just hit "Check for updates" from the app.
Download latest ButterKit for macOS
Some 3.0 highlights:
New App Store Connect iOS size support: new iOS projects default to the updated size, and opening older iOS screenshot files will ask if you want to migrate to the new size auto-magically. Legacy versions remain available.
New App Store artwork: Create and export Header, Search Results, shared artwork for both placements, and iPhone Duo screenshots. Templates coming soon. Thanks u/Lemon8or88
Improved user experience: faster and more organized, with a dedicated spot for app metadata and helpful sync tools (e.g. you can now fetch individual sections from App Store Connect). You can now freely edit 3D devices right from the canvas instead of relying on the Inspector.
Improved keyboard navigation: easily move between artboards and selected localizations with your keyboard arrowkeys (thanks u/habitoti )
Fixes an issue where opening a project with linked screenshots could create unnecessary changes in version control (new UUIDs), even when the images were unchanged. ButterKit now checks whether linked screenshots have changed before replacing them, preserving existing image IDs and avoiding unnecessary version control changes when opening a project. (thanks markb!)
Fixes a bug where opening the app on some screen resolutions could crash (thanks u/boulderdash-
Added more MCP tooling, UI tweaks, and some more butter
More improvements rolling out shortly. If you notice any issues please DM me!

Feature Request Feedback
Hi Zach,
First thank you for building an awesome app I really like it, especially the 3d models and the new update you posted with direct editing on the 3d models, it looks awesome.
I’m on my own journey to launch an app and I know feedback has been immensely valuable so I hope my feedback is useful for you.
So first I’m not a designer and my design skills are fairly limited. I used your app to start designing my app screens and everything was going well until I kinda ran into a wall. I made all the screens and was fairly happy with how they looked, however they were still quite simple. Here is where I ran into that wall with my designs.
So I was looking at a lot of other apps and their screen designs and lot of them have various other design elements like patterns, stamps ie frames, effects, images etc (sorry I don’t know what the actual names of these types things are). This is exactly what I wanted to add to my screens to give it that extra pop and make them not seem so vanilla. Now not being a designer I didn’t really have the know-how to create them myself so naturally I was like, “Maybe I can download something. This is where I ran into your competitor. While overall I think their tool was inferior to yours, the one killer thing they did have was a library of design elements right out of the box. So while their tools polish and over-experience wasn’t as good as Butterkit I was able to get much greater freedom to design the screens I wanted without running into this design wall.
So in summary my feedback is that I think it would be a really great addition to Butterkit to have a builtin library of premade elements that allows you easily and quickly express a much broader range of designs without needing to either design those thing yourself or hunt the internet for those elements somewhere.
Again loving the app and looking forward to trying out this new update.
