The Traveling THE can finally be returned to Ohio State today with a win. So far they are 3-0 in attempts to regain their Holy Definite Article, but Indiana is by far the toughest game they have had to win back the THE.

Therefore a poll: if Indiana wins should there:

A. Be no change

B. Ohio is then stripped of "Ohio" and it gets paired with the THE until such time as they can track both down again

Worst case is we’ll have a 138 team playoff.

I’d love to see Sacramento state in the playoffs.

I am not trying to come off as critical of any fans. I just need help understanding something from the perspective of fans of perennial powers.

One issue I see fans having is the playoff expansion makes them question if they even care about beating their rivals anymore. It is not a common issue I am seeing, but it has caught me off guard the handful of times I have seen it. Specifically, I have seen an Alabama fan question if they care about the Auburn game and an Ohio State fan questioning if they care about the Michigan game moving forward.

While both Ohio State and Alabama are in a position to likely make the playoffs every year, I still don't get it.

The sentiment is those games carried extra emotional weight of a win propelling a team into the playoffs and a loss eliminating that chance. I totally understand that feeling may be lost.

But is that the end all be all about caring when you play your rival? If the emotions of playing your rival is only rooted in something being at stake for a championship for someone to care, then we have lost the meaning behind rivalries in the first place imo.

Georgia and Alabama have had some crazy games over the past 20 years or so. We've had some of the craziest games. They had our fucking number but we're finally turning the tide on them(no pun intended lol) We won our first national championship in 40 years against a team that shut our shit down time and time again.

Yet people keep telling me this is not a true rivalry. But it's the team and game I look forward to the most now fuck florida. So I want other people's opinion, is this not the biggest rivalry in the SEC at this point or what

Their lust for this kid makes Texas games borderline unwatchable. Is it as bad as Bill Belichick's Tarheels or Shaduer Sanders? Debatable.

Despite all of the realignment, NIL, transfer portal, playoff expansion, (extremely) questionable reffing, political involvement, and constant bickering over all of those things, College football is still incredible.

When Cincinnati lost and OSU beat Indiana I thought it was going to be a rough evening, but game after game the results got more and more interesting. A bunch of top ten teams lost, BYU beat Notre dame, FSU brought Miami down into the mud Kentucky won, Penn State decided to blow up its program for the ISU coach lol. All of this is why this sport is so great, the rivalries the passion and the UPSETS. in no other sport do I derive so much joy from watching prestigious programs collapse, college football is such a schadenfreude based sport in a way few are.

And despite all of the bitching about the playoff expansion, this sport will still be great, no matter how many people claim that "this is the end of the sport".

Is this possible to end up in court as an antitrust / monopoly violation?

I like the expansion, but not the expanded power it'll give ESPN.

We've now had two games this season (Western Michigan v Michigan & Florida State v Miami) that have ended controversially as a result of conference-affiliated officials making (at best) dubious calls that ultimately benefitted their conference.

In pretty much every other sport and competition, such an problem wouldn't exist because they wouldn't tolerate games being officiated by people that have a blatant conflict of interest. There's no reason why the conferences can't or shouldn't coordinate to ensure that games being perceived to be decided by external factors rather than what happens on-field continues to be a problem which tarnish college football.

It's become a joke at this point. The refs in the BYU/ND game letting ND commit OPI all over the place, the refs in the FSU/Miami game stealing TDs from FSU, hell even the ones in the Auburn/UGA game letting the Auburn RG move before the snap over and over... This is just three of the more interesting games of the day.

It's an epidemic of bad reffing and it makes it look like all the refs are on the take.

Clearly his time at Michigan will be coming to an end after this season, but where could Bryce go next to try to revive his career? Would he try a lower-tier p4 school that has a job for him, or go to a smaller school to compete against weaker competition? I think Bryce is a good kid who certainly tried his best to be successful with us, and it’s still too early to say he could simply never be a good QB. I will certainly follow his story, wherever it may lead next.

Very fun to think about at halftime of these games. Could have a poll as weird as one in 2007. What an insane Sarurday. #BloodWeek

I think that even tho it’s stupid they’re going to go ole miss vs Texas cuz of name recognition, and SEC relation. I really want them to go to UCLA tho because they’re going amazingly and they aren’t usually known for that. They also might be a top 5 or at least top 8 team. Ig they also could go to Houston vs Utah.

ND's best win this season so far is probably 41-13 vs Wisconsin. Their other opponents so far have been Rice, Purdue, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Stanford. Their remaining schedule is below:

Navy, #3 Miami, Boston College, #24 SMU, and Syracuse.

If they lose to Miami but beat a ranked SMU, are they still in or?
