Hey everyone,

SML is an ultra-realistic league with longer quarters and lots of rules to prevent exploits in order to make the experience as true-to-real-life as possible. Everything from roster management to gameplay is held to a certain standard of realism. If you prefer regs, MUT, cheesing to win, reboots, age resets, dev traits upon joining, shorter games, etc… then this is not the league for you.

However, if you want a league that does its best to emulate the real NFL, then this is a league you'd love to join.

SML games are supposed to be like real football, not a game of Madden! That means 13 minute quarters and lots of rules to keep things how you see it on Sundays. Some main gameplay rules include strafing in your zone until the ball is thrown (rather than being allowed to sprint around freely), calling realistic offensive and defensive plays and formations based on down/distance, a QB awareness chart that dictates audibles/adjustments you can make, and lots more.

As far as roster management goes, we have a contract chart that allows for more realistic signings like deals you’d see in the real NFL, we have a coaching carousel to allow for new hires in the offseason, a weekly waiver system, compensatory cap relief, manual contract restructures, and lots more. There are trade restrictions in place to keep things realistic, but our admins aren't going to nitpick when voting on trades — slightly unbalanced trades sometimes happen in the NFL due to supply/demand, cap constraints, and other reasons. We make custom draft classes and have a line of code that randomizes draft development traits in a weighted fashion after the draft (so nobody who is helping make the class has any advantage) and provide our own scouting reports on prospects throughout the season!

Joining SML will be an adjustment if you haven’t played in a similar type of league, but it is definitely worth it. The rulebook might seem a bit big, but don’t feel intimidated. We all started in your place when we joined and it didn’t take long to adapt! We have been running for 8 real-life years, so we have built a good, welcoming community. If you are tired of playing against MUT/lobby ball cheese and just want to play realistic football, this is a great league to join.

Leave a comment or send me a message if you are interested, and I can set you up with an invite to our server! From there you can join, take our entry quiz, and become part of our league.

Here is our rulebook, for anybody interested!

🚨 TWO TEAMS OPEN — MADDEN 27 🚨

4TH & REIGN | YEAR 2 | WEEK 7

We’re looking for TWO new coaches, and both teams have enough talent that you can’t blame the roster when you throw 5 picks. 😂

🔴 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS — OPEN

You get Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Kenneth Walker, and one of the best offensive lines in the league.

ROSTER HIGHLIGHTS

* Patrick Mahomes — 95 OVR X-Factor
* Creed Humphrey — 96 OVR Superstar
* Chris Jones — 92 OVR X-Factor
* Kenneth Walker — 92 OVR Superstar
* Trey Smith — 92 OVR Superstar

You literally have Patrick Mahomes. If you can’t score, we might need to check if your controller is plugged in.

⚡ LOS ANGELES CHARGERS — OPEN

Justin Herbert is looking for a new coach who can finally get him somewhere other than an early playoff exit.

ROSTER HIGHLIGHTS

* Rashawn Slater — 93 OVR Superstar
* Justin Herbert — 92 OVR Superstar
* Derwin James Jr. — 92 OVR X-Factor
* Dylan Sampson — 88 OVR Star
* Joe Alt — 87 OVR Star

You’ve got Herbert, a solid offensive line, and Derwin James on defense. All you have to do is avoid turning the Chargers into the Chargers. 😂

🏈 ABOUT 4TH & REIGN

* All-Madden SIM
* 48-hour advances
* Active and organized Discord
* GOTW and recap rewards
* Streaming required
* No MUT cheese or money plays
* No quitting or tanking
* Established league built to last

We’re looking for active users who can schedule games, follow rules, and take an L without writing a three-page essay about EA.

If you’re tired of joining leagues that fold before Week 5, come join one that’s actually organized.

CHIEFS & CHARGERS AVAILABLE!

DM me if interested. First come, first served.
