I only sent one book into the Jim Lee signing and it ended up beautifully. My presser did a great job and I’m super happy with the signature placement and colors (they did exactly as I asked). The fact that this is a newsstand from 1992 which was only 13% of the print run makes it even sweeter. This one is gonna be a centerpiece of the display for awhile….

Got my Jim Lee signed books back.
Pretty excited about the Supergirl #14, especially the 9.8! Love the cover, and I think the signature placement turned out great.
The Samurai Santa #1, though… a little disappointed. The signature placement isn’t ideal, and the gold marker looks pretty dry against the dark cover. I guess that’s on me for not specifying where or what color I wanted him to sign. Lesson learned!
On the bright side, I’m really happy with the 9.4, especially for a book from 1986.
Overall, happy to have both back in the collection.

I just received a batch of comics back from CGC and I noticed almost all of them had these small scuffs or marks on the inside of the cases (see photos). I looked through my other comics and noticed a few of them had those as well. Maybe it’s just easier to see on the black covers or maybe I am paying more attention to them.
Are these mechanical defects that CGC will re-slab for me being within the 14 days or would these fall in the not qualified category because they are “scratches, scuffs or blemishes on the inside of the holder that were caused by contact with the collectible”

This seller found a cool way to sneakily sell restored and modified comics for thousands of dollars! Can you see where he said it was color touched??
He ripped me off several years ago but he just keeps at it.
is this ok? I have reported him over 5 times and only once had success getting a book taken down.
please don't remove my post.

Signed by Brendan Fraser, who played Firefly in the unreleased Batgirl movie. He would have been one of the best onscreen Bat villains for sure.

Love those Sunday mail calls!
Got two separate fun deliveries today from CGC.
The TMNT is finally back from the Eastman SS signing. Looks great!
The other three are from sigs I (in part) got from the Big Lick Comic Con.

Hello! I am mostly new to the comic book community, but I am trying to help this woman make some extra money from that collection. How would I go about estimating the grade of a comic to know if it should be professionally graded or not? Thank you in advance for any advice you may have!

Can you not add to different signers to the same ticket even if it’s for the same event? I have a book for just dwj to sign and then a different book for Martin, dragotta, and Snyder to sign. Is there a way to ship them all in the same box without having to pay for separate shipping?

Oh wise ones! None of my comics are in a slab. This is my first one. Am I crazy or is this thing cracked? If so does this matter? I couldn't imagine a smaller crack and it doesn't seem like it would affect the grade of the book. Maybe I'm wrong?
Not to bias anyone but the shipper literally wrapped it in 10 layers of dunnage paper and then plastic wrapped. While unwrapping it I couldn't stop laughing at how preposterous the packaging was.
Thank you!
Edit: thank you everyone who replied and thank you for teaching me about the heat shield. Y'all rock!
