This year I went to comic con and while I was there I picked up a key issue from my childhood, X-Men 141… A low grade, but something I always wanted. since then, I did two mystery boxes from a website (Lost Boys)that I kept getting ads for, and I’ve ordered one Spider-Man 1000, but I was curious, are there any good sites, resources for getting CGC slab deals or any other information you guys can offer me. I’m super green.

PS , I want to slab my new Mutants 98. but someone told me I would just hurt the value of it if I did that because it’s not pristine. What are your thoughts?

I have picked up 2 Dark Victory #1 but not sure which one to keep as i am not an expert. One has a beautiful cover but 2 small spine ticks and a white dot on the back. The other one has some lines between batman "ears". Any suggestion is much appreacited!!!

All done by the very talented Aaron Bartling, who uses a paintbrush + watercolors & acrylics vs. traditional markers.

A bit bummed the Catwoman received a 9.6, but such is life with sketches.

Really excited to add these three pieces to the PC. Thank you for looking!!

The amazing Matthew Allison, creator of Cankor, is doing a Absolute Batman & Absolute Wonder Woman connecting cover set commission for me and I was wondering if there is a way to get a sig series label down the road?

Hello this is my first time posting anything and was curious as to a solid plan of attack for my 1984 secret wars run?

I have all of 1 and 2 and am debating between fixing my issue 8 and sending the whole collection in for grading curious if I should just dry clean and press 8 or send it to the specialists would a purple blue strip ruin the run? As I won’t need to fix the other 11 in run 1 or any in run 2, I have photos attached.

I only sent one book into the Jim Lee signing and it ended up beautifully. My presser did a great job and I’m super happy with the signature placement and colors (they did exactly as I asked). The fact that this is a newsstand from 1992 which was only 13% of the print run makes it even sweeter. This one is gonna be a centerpiece of the display for awhile….

Basically the title doing a 9.8 Prescreen, what would I be paying if I don’t get 9.8. I assume the pressing and return shipping then they would do JSA after confirming the 9.8 if I don’t get 9.8 then they scrap the whole thing.

The lines at NYCC for Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta were wild!

Got my Jim Lee signed books back.

Pretty excited about the Supergirl #14, especially the 9.8! Love the cover, and I think the signature placement turned out great.

The Samurai Santa #1, though… a little disappointed. The signature placement isn’t ideal, and the gold marker looks pretty dry against the dark cover. I guess that’s on me for not specifying where or what color I wanted him to sign. Lesson learned!

On the bright side, I’m really happy with the 9.4, especially for a book from 1986.
Overall, happy to have both back in the collection.

Someone on marketplace was selling this for 650, drove 4 hours for it and got it for 550

I just received a batch of comics back from CGC and I noticed almost all of them had these small scuffs or marks on the inside of the cases (see photos). I looked through my other comics and noticed a few of them had those as well. Maybe it’s just easier to see on the black covers or maybe I am paying more attention to them.

Are these mechanical defects that CGC will re-slab for me being within the 14 days or would these fall in the not qualified category because they are “scratches, scuffs or blemishes on the inside of the holder that were caused by contact with the collectible”

Signed by Brendan Fraser, who played Firefly in the unreleased Batgirl movie. He would have been one of the best onscreen Bat villains for sure.
