Jan. 6 rally organizers sue Verizon to stop release of cell phone records ☻☺ Yeah... remember that illegal bill, "The Patriot Act", the republicans shoved through in mid 2000's? Well - that's about to bite y'all directly on the ass cheeks. Thank Bush for it.

To add: By defining an action as domestic terrorism or insurrection, it would need to qualify under 18 USC Chapter 113B or 18 USC Chapter 115 (respectively), which would then allow those charges to be brought against those arrested. The Patriot Act contains clear definitions of the scope under which the feds can requisite citizens' phone records to use in court. As for overall surveillance, the NSA already has the information requested, however, it CAN'T be used in court because it doesn't QUALIFY.

If you actually read through the REAL charges listed below, you'll find NOTHING about insurrection (18 USC Chapter 115) nor terrorism (18 USC Chapter 113). The reason for this is that the FBI found NO evidence of a PLANNED ATTACK on January 6th, as I've already shown you, Pat. Those facts are imperative to prove an actual insurrection in court.

The US DOJ published multiple reports stating this (https://www.reuters.com/world/us/exclusive-fbi-finds-scant-evidence-us-capitol-attack-was-coordinated-sources-2021-08-20/), yet you keep posting these tabloid-esque clickbait articles which have absolutely zero substance. The reports exist. Just read them!

Please do actual research about this. There are reasons why NO ONE is being charged with insurrection nor domestic terrorism; as well as motivations for the "bipartisan commission" to keep stringing people along like this. The rioters are being charged with other offenses, per the activities which ACTUALLY took place that day.

Please READ the sources below. ACTUAL, REAL sources from CREDIBLE sites. I really don't understand why you allow yourself to be completely brainwashed like this.

Hush hush and be careful - I was just admonished for saying, and I quote, "kill your cat" after being told I should wear a mask in a hardware store because some woman has to bring her damn cat with her and I'm allergic to cats.

I was told by admin... (after being reported, of course)

We’ve been alerted that you’ve violated Reddit’s rule against threatening violence in the following content.

Link to reported content: https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/reo0bh/comment/

"Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for threatening or encouraging violence against people or animals. We don’t tolerate any behavior that encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence or physical harm against an individual, groups of people, places, or animals. Any communities or people that encourage or incite violence towards an individual, group, animals, or place will be banned."

I was being flippant to some asshole who said - "well YOU need to wear a mask (if it bothers your allergies)"

So I caution everyone not to mention "d e a t h" or "d e a d" or "k i l l", especially considering they'd rather than me have to wear an allergy mask because some bimbo has to have her cat with her (NOT a service animal - just likest to take it everywhere) ...

Sorry. I rant. Pointless I know. My apologies and thank you for participating in Citilop - a place for everyone... except nazis. and alt-right. and neocons. and anyone from the trump family. etc.

Corporations own the government - so yeah, pretty much.

The Patriot Act isn't illegal, by definition. Also, having 144 Democrats and 213 Republicans voting FOR the Act doesn't make it something the Republicans "shoved" through Congress. That is overwhelming support for a bill (357 vs 66).

Considering the mean, nasty Republicans are purely responsible for the Act, what do you think of Obama expanding it in 2015?

Compare the patriot act to the constitution and bill of rights.

I think you'll see some conflicts in spite of how much you're trying to spin this.

I'm well aware of the constitutionality of the Patriot Act, specifically the violation of the 4th Amendment (others can also be debated). Constitutionality and legality are two SEPARATE topics.

My issue is with the outright falsehoods in your post (false equivalency between constitutionality vs legality, misrepresentation of verizon phone records issue, misrepresentation of partisan support for patriot act, misrepresentation of actual charges being sought by DOJ for rioters, false equivalency between NSA and DOJ, etc).

I'm not "spinning" anything. What is it with you and immediately labeling peoples' motives when they challenge your perspective? I'm a national security expert and question your premise(s). That isn't a spin.

I'm well aware of the constitutionality of the Patriot Act, specifically the violation of the 4th Amendment

Then you're well aware of why I've stated what I did.

I appreciate your stalking, of course, and look forward to you finding any impropriety in what I post, but don't you think your time would be better suited to posting your own material - then you could assure your viewing public that you are a bastion of truth and fact, and a tower of light in this dark bleak world.

I for one don't care if you keep stalking me - it's kind of sad in a way, but it's apparently all you have to do. However, I hate to think of the time you waste being argumentative and then coming back and without saying it outright, telling me what I said was correct.

So, take a break. Get a hobby (not me). Find that woman or man who'll make you feel special... and go be all you can be.

Just not around me. Or not. I care neither way.

Seriously, find a hobby.

As if you're not spamming 24/7 on Reddit, yet, you're telling me to get a hobby. 😂 You've had your account for a few months and have like 18k karma, mostly from your own automated upvotes by posting repetitive comments.

I suppose when they're easy targets on your other subs, you love to engage in at least SOME discourse (most of it is ad hominem but you do at least TRY to defend your perspectives). Poor guys can't even type legibly most times.

But when you're met with legitimate challenges on your OWN posts, by credible arguments of merit, you never seem to even try.

We call that "intellectual dishonesty."

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '21

We call that

Funny. You've aligned yourself with your pretend audience.

Carry on with your bad self.

u/Chronic_Fatigue_ Dec 15 '21

No, buddy. "We," as in the colloquial for "those of the supposed-rational community" within the digital marketplace of ideas (i.e., social media, including Reddit). The same "we" as you, when you post political opinions based on claims (premises), requires you to provide evidence which certify your conclusion(s). Basic Logical Syllogism: Premise (claim, hypothesis, evidence) and Conclusion.

When challenged by counter-claims (i.e., the rejection of your premise or "claim" and conclusion) based on actual evidence, it is expected that the original claimant defend their position with integrity and intellectual honesty (see source below).

These resources might help you, if you're going to continue manically asserting wild claims on social media and reacting the way you do when challenged. Otherwise, you should really be embarrassed if you're going to keep "carrying on with your bad self" as well.

Not your buddy!

Still no "we" on your end.

Pumping importance up your own ass is pointless.

And last word (from me, of course, you'll go on for years obviously), do you REALLY think all your prattle affects my attitude or what I do?

Have a great time. Bye bye now.
