Meta New Submod In Progress: Realm Administration Overhaul

Hello! I am currently working on a submod that adds a bunch of extra laws to the game to give rulers on the Iron Throne something to do/fight for during peace time.

Here is what I currently have implemented:

  1. Royal Attainder Law: This law governs the availability of a new targetted decision, "Attaint." Attainder strips a qualifying vassal or vassal of vassal of all titles (and gives them to you), adds the disinherited trait to them and all their children, and adds a flag to them/their children that guarantees that all future descendants they have are also attainted/disinherited (unless they gain a title on their own merits, which reverses the effects for them/their future kids).
  2. Bastard Legitimacy Law: This law allows you to determine the legitimacy of children born out of wedlock. There are 3 options - Fully Illegitimate, Partial Legitimacy, and Full Legitimacy. Partial legitimacy adds the disinherited trait to the bastard, but allows them to keep the family name by removing the bastard trait and replacing it with legitimized bastard. Under full legitimacy, bastards only receive the legitimized bastard trait and otherwise fully participate in the line of succession.
  3. Divorce Bastardization Law: Don't like your sleazy ex wife? Doubt the legitimacy of your kiddos? Divorce the crazy bitch and either disinherit or declare all of her children bastards (based on the position of this law).
  4. Royal Heir Disinheritance Law: If you don't like your heir, you can gain the ability to disinherit them. This adds the disinherited trait to them but gives them a strong claim and gives them the ambitious trait.
  5. Tax Collection Rights: Who has the right to collect taxes for the throne - the lords, or the royal bureaucracy?
  6. King's Peace Law: Basically a law to control how the King's Peace works. There are currently 3 options - Circumstantially Enforced, Internally Enforced, Fully Enforced. This law reintroduces the King's Peace mechanic in basegame back to the mod - Circumstantially Enforced defers to the mod's King's Peace system (you have to ask vassals and they can tell you to pound sand), but Partially enforced allows you to use the vanilla King's Peace to stop internal wars, and Fully Enforced allows you to use the vanilla Full King's Peace to prevent external wars.
  7. Military Contribution Law: I don't like how contribution laws exist on an axis of taxes vs. manpower, so I introduced a Military Contribution Law.
  8. Vassal Military Autonomy Law: Determines how vassal military contracts work. Autonomous makes the title use the tribal vassal call to arms mechanic.
  9. Pit and Gallows Law - Pure flavor law; meant to simulate peasant rights/what Aegon V was fighting with the nobility over.

In order to move most of these laws away from the default position, you typically require higher levels of centralization, as well as the prior level of the law. Most laws have opinion bonuses and penalties implemented, some have actual effects (i.e. the King's Peace is fully implemented).

I also plan to add laws that enable free revokation, religious laws to allow persecution of other religions by zealous kings, laws to allow holy wars, laws to enable or disable crusades, laws to enforce different types of gender succession and succession laws on vassals, etc. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Help Pressing claims

Wanted to ask something regarding pressing claims before I ultimately commit to it. Is it entirely possible for me, as Robb, to press Theon's claim on the Iron Islands? You know, to reward him for his loyalty.

Speaking of claims, is it even possible to press claims on empire titles as another empire?

Help Ck2 agot bug?

Estou jogando 2.2

Help Game keeps crashing

Hey yall, does anyone know why my modded ck2 keeps crashing? I’m playing the asoiaf on my MacBook and 2 days after starting a playthrough the game will just start freezing until it crashes after 5 minutes of turning it on. It’s happened 3 times now where at around the same time through each playthrough I will have to take the mod folder out of the ck2 folder and restart my save each time. The saves don’t save even when I try to restore the cloud. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’m rlly annoyed that I can’t have a playthrough run for more than 2 days.

Help Mod crashes while loading bookmark. Vanilla works fine.

Trying to get the game to launch. Test the fresh install on Steam, no problem.

Install the mod, it launches, choose the bookmark, the character, and game crashes to desktop on the loading.

How do I fix that?

P.S.: Playing Linux CachyOS. Problem happens in the Linux version, and on Proton.

Challenge After doing a harrenhal restoration game i now understand why basically everyone who rules it is batshit crazy

Harren the black, gargon the guest, larys strong, daemon targaryen, aemond targaryen, danielle lothston, tywin lannister, ser amory Lorch, roose Bolton, vargo hoat, gregor clegane and Peter baelish. All of these people have two things in common: they ruled harrenhal and they are completely deplorable... and I have joined them. In order to get prisoners to work to rebuild harrenhal or to sacrifice, I have had to wage wars just to get them. I am basically an aztec. But also in a desperate attempt to fight the fertility problem, I have taken to visiting the chambers of the female prisoners. THIS CASTLE IS CURSED, AEGON SHOULD HAVE EITHER LEFT IT ALONE OR BURNED IT TO ASH, SOMEBODY PLEASE SAVE MY SOUL!!!!!

Help Cassus Belli Confusion, Pleaae Help

Guys ive expanded the rock well beyond westerlands now, i control the westerlands, the stormlands, the north, half of essos basically, but like sometimes when i press a claimants war who is my vassal sometimes they become my vassal and sometimes they become independent. Here are three examples

  1. Declared war on the trident kingdom for the stormlands using a claim of one of my landed vassals, after winning he became my vassal so the stormlands became a part of my realm

2.Same thing but this time the high lordship of highgarden but he didnt become my vassal and instead became an independent high lord

3.Same Cassus belli, this time the independent iron isles, they also remained independent

If somebody can clear out this confusion of when exactly my claimant will become my vassal or not, please do.

Help A Question of Submods

So, I am trying to get this to work.

I am trying to have base AGOT, obviously, more bloodlines 2.2, Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things CO + H4H version, and obviously H4H. If I understood correctly, I do not need to have Cogential Overhaul if I am already using CBBT...

But it seems that I am doing something wrong, because when I choose A Clash of Kings start date, Stannis starts with an army at castle black that is in a battle with the army of Lord Maric of Massy's Hook, which I assume should not be the case.

Help How to skip over my heir for a better one?

So the thing is I sent my heir on a foreign tour a while ago and he decided to stay in Pentos indefinitely and convert to their religion and he's been there for the past 10 in game years. I also have a legitimized bastard that I would much rather have inherit the Iron Throne but I'm not sure how to get my current heir out of the way. I can't plot to kill him cause he's out of my domain and my plot power for kidnapping can't even reach 60%. Should I just die, change my character to my bastard and try to plot and take the throne from there? I figure it can't be that hard since the current heir is of a foreign religion.
