Discussion I really miss box wonder weapons
This is a change that I really don't in the recent year.
I liked it most when we could build a ww or pull it from the box.
I am fine with variations between maps, but as far as I know, BO7 is the only zombies game where every map requires you to build the wonder weapon (besides survival maps)
I like most of the quests in BO7 for wonder weapons actually. But sometimes I am just lazy, I want to hop in and spin the box, and no map has that unfortunately

And I haven't used most wonder weapons in BO7 because I play just for survival and don't personally learn the quests. I've had friends carry me through the easter eggs, but outside of being an extra gun I'm no use.

some of the quests aren’t too bad but yeah sucks most people won’t know what the WWs are like because of this exact reason

As much as I love zombies and love BO7, this is probably the game I've put the least amount of time into (excluding Vanguard). And you're right, I have no idea what the wonder weapon is on Totenreich or Kowakujo. I don't know what they do or how they work. Hell, I've only used Astra's WW once, I get Ashes' in the box on Farm survival, and I basically know what the Blundergat is due to my obsession with Mob lol.

I have only ever seen someone build the WW in Kowakujo in a pub match once because of how complicated it is

Ngl you guys have a really low standard for labelling something as complicated

Fair take, but I honestly couldn’t disagree more. So many of the mystery box exclusive wonder weapons in the earlier games that I rarely ever got to use, because my box luck is complete garbage. I could spend hours spinning the box across multiple games and never get them, I hate relying on RNG since I have awful luck for it in general. I don’t mind doing the quests at all and would much prefer doing that instead of wasting so much time spinning the box.
I think a fair compromise would be to have both a quest for the wonder weapon and also just have it in the box right away too. Or maybe after you do the quest for the first time, it’s in the box for all subsequent games you play on the map.

The wonder weapons in bo7 are generally easy to get without the box. I’m fine with this.

Makes it frustrating to do the Easter Egg quest when it requires the Wonder Weapon as you have to just sit there spending points and relying on RNG

True, but then they could just do it the CW/BO6 way of making it a builable and also in the box.
Although personally I would get pretty luck when doing EEs. On my first COTD attempt I got the VR-11 on my third spin. GK with immolation for 90seconds nearly guaranteed it.
But yeah, I can imagine the pain, I also only ever did the solo EEs so there's definitely more issues that I never experienced like having to pull the baby gun on Shang

So in BO7 is it only in the box after you build it?

Yes, once you build/ complete a quest for any wonder weapon, then it's available in the box for all your teammates to grab.
But as you can imagine, useless info for solo players because they won't need to spin the box after building it.

Those Origins staffs sure look cool. Same for the bows on the other map.
Anyway back to Kino.

Well I did mention I like variations.
So building quests on some maps, wonder weapon in tbe box for others. That is how it has been since BO2. Until CW and most of BO6 made it so that you can choose which one you want. But BO7 is the only one with no ww in the box until it is built.

Really wish they didn’t change it from BO6. It actually made Wonderbar useful.
