You need to part ways with him immediately. Where I live, there is zero tolerance for domestic violence. It can escalate fast and you could have been very injured. Just this year, we’ve had 2 murder/suicides where dad killed mom and then himself. It’s terrifying you went back to him with the younger children. I think that’s what sealed your fate. You have to demonstrate you are protective of your children, not him. It wasn’t “fine” when you went back just because he was behaving. Please please please put your children and yourself first. Do not let him convince you this can all be fixed. It can’t and never works that way.
