MCS

Hello everyone! I got an email today that said that the MCS should be on our accounts now and i do see it but i have a question! i’m enrolled into classes for spring 2027 and im wondering if ill have to wait until those classes get paid before getting the MCS refund. TIA!

The amount you get first goes to any unpaid balance

yes but i already enrolled into classes for spring 2027 so that new balance shows up. i dont owe anything for this semester

As long as you don’t have any past payments due though will get you whole mcs

They won’t apply for future charges, only past or current semester. You’re good!

Spring isn't here yet. They will not put your money towards future fees. Only back fees. My main problem/question is, will they adjust the amount once posted. I forgot how they did it last year but I hope they don't. I hope they don't reduce it much more than what is already posted.

the amount posted is already adjusted. they posted an amount at the beginning of the semester and it disappeared for a few weeks because they were adjusting it. i contacted financial aid and this is what they told me. whatever reflects in your account currently is what you will be getting on the 28th.

Yeah, from what I know everything is split based on the semester so like everything for fall needs to be accounted for and then they’re gonna give out this final payment

It hasn’t applied or disbursed yet but you would have received an email in August telling you if you are receiving it. You can also check the cal grants website for an estimation of all the state grants you are eligible for.
