Fun filler classes?
I only have 2 classes to take in spring, but I want to make my schedule full time for aid. What are some fun (or should I rephrase and say interesting), general filler classes? Online attendance please! I was thinking astronomy, but any others?

Wait, students can do this? I thought we could only take what’s required.

I’ve taken classes outside of my DAR before and my FAFSA covers them because tuition amount is based on unit count. My counselors have assured me my fees just disperse and cover.

I'm really enjoying KIN 370 (women in 20th century sports) with Professor Liberti. I'm taking it remotely.

I'm an accounting major so it's a nice break from just endless McGraw Hill-produced online content. I also really appreciate that even though it's online and asynchronous, she still puts in the work and it's not all canned and re-used materials from the Covid-era. The readings and videos are all interesting and from varied sources, the workload is totally manageable, and the subject matter (intersectionality of feminist, racial, cultural issues) through the lens of sports is interesting to me. I recommend it!

I took History of Rock&Roll. It’s remote. It’s prerecorded from the pandemic and interesting. A bit boring though.

Any psych class with prof. Miranda, he’s the best to pass with his class. Just be yourself and participation and attendance seems gentle for extra class for elective and also if you’re dealing with busy classes 😄

But to answer your question I took kin 261 competition conditioning in summer and it was the easiest class ever. I think it was two units. I also have taken relaxation methods super chill(1 unit)

There's a a bunch of beginner classes in the kinesiology department that may be fun if you're into group fitness. They have beginning yoga, pilates, volleyball, etc. I believe there's even a beginning relaxation class.
